This is not our go to meat store, even though we live less than 2 miles from it. I do go here often because they will have what I'm looking for except that their prices are going to be a little bit higher because they are a good quality meat store. The workers are always friendly and give good advice. The store is always clean and well kept and easy to see the food in the displays. If you're looking for something special, this is a place to go. They treat you like a king. So that all said I'll probably go there once a month to fulfill a special need. My husband and I unfortunately waited until the last minute to purchase a couple of roasts for New Year's Day dinner with our daughter and her family and they were all sold out. To our surprise we were told to wait just a moment while they looked in the back one more time. They just happen to find two beautiful roasts for us! My brother and I picked up some steaks for dinner tonight and they were out of this world! We got two filets (approx. 8oz each) and two Delmonico cuts (approx. 16oz each), as well as 4 pieces of baklava and an Italian loaf of bread for about $95 which seemed like a great price for the quality of the meat. Wife and I stopped here a few weeks ago and ordered a couple of sandwiches. Other than the fact that the line was long and it took a few minutes to get waited on and then to wait some more for our sandwiches the quality of the food made up for it . Next time we for sure will call in our orders ahead of time. I had a cuban sandwich and my wife enjoyed a roast beef sandwich. I went in to purchase a leg of lamb for my family's Easter Sunday meal. I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask and addressed a couple of employees who had asked me if I needed one. Despite this fact and the fact I was waited on without any further issues the owner felt the necessity to confront me. I was told that my disability "didn't matter, this is an USDA inspected business and things that could be over looked in other establishments couldn't there". When I made it to the counter after this rather brusque handling I addressed the cashier and made light of the sign in their door about "respecting others". The cashier told me she has a disability as well but that sometimes people just need to get over themselves and suck it up. There is no signage on their store indicating they have web services or door dash/curbside pick up so if this was an option they did a poor job of displaying/advertising it. Regardless, I won't be back again after being a customer for over a decade and being treated that way. read more

Friendly staff, good "Quality" meat, and a welcoming atmosphere. The owner, Scott, has done a marvelous job continuing the family business. While it may seem a bit more pricey than comparable markets, it's worth it. The sandwiches are also fantastic if you ever get a chance to try one. The Chicken Club, in particular, is the best sandwich you can get in the area and blows Jimmy John's, Subway, and Firehouse Subs out of the water. Try one and you won't regret it! read more

Always very clean, great selection for a quick "grab" on the way home from work to avoid crowded grocery stores. They always save the day when needing just a few things. I live in the neighborhood and I am not a fan of big box grocery stores so I thought this place would be a wonderful source for fresh meat. It is a great source for fresh meat however, I have had several experiences where I have stood at the meat counter and I been overlooked to assist other customers. Unacceptable to say the least. I drive by this place all the time when I'm running errands around here, and every single time, I kept on saying to myself, "Make sure next time pull on in and check this place out!" Well, I kept saying that for over 2 years, and I finally made my first trip here a few months back, and more recently, a few weeks ago. The original game plan was to pick up some sandwiches for our flight to CA, but after walking in, I noticed all the Zingerman products that they offer. It's not a mind blowing huge selection, but they do have the more popular items, which is fine by me. Black Magic brownies? It's here. Magic brownies? Absolutely. Pecan Blondies? Yes sirree Bob! I really had to restrain myself from picking up a pack, as Husband and I love munching on these sweet treats. So, back to the sandwich ordering. Their menu is pretty diverse, but not too overwhelming that you can't pick. They feature Boar's Head meats, and all ingredients are fresh and delivered daily. I went with the Roast Beef panini ($6.99) and the Grilled Veggie panini ($5.99). The roast beef is a real star, with horseradish cheddar cheese and spicy mustard, mayo, lettuce, and tomato on Zingerman's farm loaf. One panini is about a foot long, so it is HUGE! Great for splitting, but for the guys who are HUNGRY, it'll be plenty to satisfy their tummies. :) The bread is delicately grilled without a huge amount of butter, and the flavors of the bread really are allowed to shine through. They also don't skimp on the amount of beef and condiments. All the while, creating a balanced panini. Big props to that. The grilled veggie panini was tasty and lightly grilled as well, and stuffed with a generous amount of cucumbers, tomato, avocado, spinach, red onion, and topped off with muenster and tzatziki sauce. Mmm...yummy. :) The rest of the market is small but the offerings are high quality. Staff is friendly; from the deli section, to the seafood and meats section, all the guys and girls there are happy and willing to help you with a smile. Just a quick tip though - they do get busy during lunch hours, so phone in ahead of time for your sandwich orders, or text them. Otherwise, you'll be waiting a good 20-30 minutes. Your regular supermarket cannot compare to the quality of ingredients and the service you get at this market. They have fresh seafood, meat, poultry, homemade sausages, produce, Zingerman's bread, Boarhead's lunchmeats and cheeses, a selection of homemade deli salads, and more! They even make sandwiches, and boy are they good. I have stopped here before to pick up sandwiches for lunch, and at the same time, grab my fresh salmon that I plan to cook for dinner. We were driving through and saw umbrellas with boars head logos, so we decided to stop in. We were immediately impressed with the quality of their meat and seafood. They also had some different quality brands that are hard to find. This is definitely a specialty deli. It was a beautiful day so we got sandwiches and ate out on the patio. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We got the loosey goosey and the turkey avacado. Both were very good. the portions are very large so expect leftovers! The sea salt and cracked pepper potato chips were some of the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. read more

The Big Larry well let me put it this way, the last one I had weighed out at a whopping 1.7 pounds and still manages to be one of the best tasting sandwiches you will ever have.
