It is picturesque and run by a local family for a few generations. The view of the Snohomish valley is breathtaking! Seeing wildlife is apart of this experience (eagles, hawks, migrating swans, bunnies, ..etc). If it's a clear flying day, the chances of seeing a plane on its landing path are high. (So worth it for the view). During covid they had their barn closed to the public but they have reopened it this year. Such a fun experience for the younger kids. They had free hot cider and hot chocolate. The model train was a big hit for us. They are selling Christmas wreaths, swag, table centerpieces, garland, and a few other goodies. We have always had wonderful experiences with our fresh cut trees. Im not sure how the previous poster had a dead tree because you have complete power in your choice of tree because you are cutting it down. Potentially a user error by not watering it? Once you cut your tree and haul it to the front with a cart, they shake it out and wrap it for easy hauling. We always bring our own tie downs for securing our tree to our truck but they have twine in case you forgot. It's an overall wonderful experience in the outdoors and we look forward to it every year!

They had no shortage of people to help. They were all very friendly. Be sure to bring small bills for tips. This tree farm is more expensive than Long's tree farm that we went to last year, but in my opinion the trees are nicer and with the extra help, it's definitely worth it for us. The only reason i didn't give this place 5 stars is that the different varieties were all mixed together and there was no labelling of what trees are which variety, so if you are looking for a specific variety of tree and your tree identification skills are lacking, it may be tricky finding the variety you are looking for.

In a long route-around to avoid traffic yesterday, we ended up passing this spot and chucking our afternoon plans in favor of staying in Everett for the afternoon. So glad we did. We found red and green tomatoes here, along with a bunch of different stone fruits, all for under $15. Picture a scene out of a horror flick, where you are driving on a deserted road at a farm and suddenly a small man appears out of nowhere, gesticulating, screaming and slamming your car with his grimy hand that leaves a greasy imprint of fingers on it (no blood this time). This is actually what happened to me when I was in my car with my son a few days ago. We decided to look for a farm in Snohomish where we could find some apples and pulled into the driveway at Stocker Farms. It was eerily deserted for a Wednesday and I realized they must be closed (apparently not open on Wednesdays). The driveway extends around in a loop and I pulled around and since the road was gravel (and I wasn't even sure it was a road), I was driving slowly. Out of nowhere a very small man (employee? Part of the family that owns the farm??) appeared out of nowhere as I was rounding the bend to exit to the road. He was screaming and motioning wildly for me to stop and since I hadn't seen or heard him up until that moment, he actually slammed his hand onto my car door to get my attention. When I rolled down the window I asked him what was wrong? He was HUGELY agitated and said, "Didn't you see or hear me? I have been chasing after you. You were driving 40 miles an hour and I clocked you. The speed here is 10 mph." He clocked me - with what? Did he have a device that measures speed? If he was in fact keeping up with me at 40 mph, he should get a medal as he is now the new world record holder for the fastest runner on the planet, outpacing Usain Bolt who holds the record for running a 9.58 second 100-meter run which equals 27.78 miles per hour. If, in fact, I was driving 40 mph (which I was not), and this little man was also running at 40 mph, he would have to be running 58.67 feet per second or .67 miles per minute or 2/3 of a mile in a minute. If he was running at 58.67 feet per second, he outpaces Usain Bolt by 49.09 seconds, which is a true marvel of human nature. This little person should definitely get on the Olympic team. I don't know who this person was or why he was so irate, but Stocker Farms be aware that you have a maniac on the premises who chases people down who are driving in cars and whom he deems as driving too fast. There was no one else around, no pedestrians and no other cars, but he felt it necessary to come after us, screaming. This is beyond inappropriate. I guess the Halloween events started early this year at Stocker Farms. I think they misspelled the name of their farm. It should be STALKER FARMS! After spending 20 min searching we finally found a row of lime colored hydrangea and one pink one. My daughter happily picked it up and loaded it in the cart as it was the one thing we came to find and she was so proud she was the one who spotted it. It takes a lot to get my teenaged daughter to spend time with me, but today I was able to bribe her with a stop to Snohomish pie co as this was a belated birthday gift to me and we also needed dessert. We wondered down towards the trees on our way to check out when an employee an up to us asking if we found the pink one standing with other hydrangeas. We confirmed yes and she said it was intended for someone else. I asked to take a pic of the tag and she then picked it up and took it away. We were incredibly shocked and disappointed. Although we had a few other things on our cart after chatting with another team member we chose to not purchase. That interaction ruined our fun mom daughter date. As I was leaving I happened to to see the employee and after sending my daughter to the car with our pup I approached to just share with "Mikayla" how disappointed and upset we were both leaving. I wanted to express that it wasn't just a purchase today, but us spending some of our last years/months together before she is too busy for me with her own life. Mikayla was not empathetic an all and acted very matter of fact in that she had no control over it. The fact is it wasn't sold, wasn't tagged, not on a cart and no one was near them. I asked her name and she was away sharing over her shoulder while rolling her eyes "have a nice day". I was already on the verge of tears and although my intention was not to be mad and just express how it had really dampened our day I felt completely disregarded and chose to seek out a manager. After approaching another team member he let me know he'd grab someone to speak with me. "Mikayla" approached and offered to see when they'd get more in and I shared I could easily look online myself or go to flower world. I was able to talk with Anne who seemed to understand what I was trying to convey. I just needed someone to listen to my perspective five. She also offered that they could keep an eye out, but because I was crying I shared it wouldn't change what happened. It's just a plant at a store, but it wasn't just that for us and someone walking around with a radio disregarding anyone but her list of things she needed to do really broke our hearts. Lesson learned, not all of mccaulifes employee exude the same helpfulness and care as the others.

This is a decent place for apple, berry, and grape picking…read more My first visit was a couple years ago, unfortunately we came too late in the season and most apples were past their prime. This year we came a bit early so most apples were not yet quite ripe. However we were able to find enough ripe apples to take home as well as some grapes! Admission is $5 per adult and $3 per child/senior. Apples are $4/lb, grapes $6/lb with discounts for more weight (see pics). It is easy to get carried away and pick too many! They have baskets to borrow for collecting your fruit. After a brief, friendly orientation you are allowed to roam independently. The rows between the apple trees can be bumpy and muddy after a rain so sturdy boots would be preferred. They allow credit cards but prefer venmo. They also sell apple cider which is delicious!

I totally understand and appreciate the no-spray, organic, regenerative farming approach (I literally studied environmental science and have worked on sustainable farms all over the country), but the whole operation felt disorganized. Not to mention that everything was extremely expensive, and the mandatory orientation is basically just a tour of all the bugs you'd find in your apples, which I get, but even I was like...yikes. We were able to find plenty of apples, but they cost us around $80 and the cider was $12 for a half gallon, which we actually had to strain once we got home because of the bugs we were finding in it. I spent a ton of time cutting around bugs and even had to throw several apples out while prepping apples for apple butter. It was delicious in the end, but I wouldn't have eaten these apples raw. The staff also seemed pretty miserable and unfriendly, which was disappointing. Overall: not worth the cost. :(
