Our 6 foot Frazier Fir cost us only $40 when Carnation tree farm was charging us $58-$60. The Ronnei tree farm is a no BS cut what you want tree farm which made picking a tree so much easier than at Carnation tree farm. I highly recommend coming to Ronnei Tree Farm if you want to experience cutting your own tree.

The good: Beautiful setting Friendly folks manning the venue interior Ample beverage choices with reasonable markup Really good carrot cake Clean port a potties The bad: We showed up well before the venue opened at 5:30 hoping to secure a parking spot that would allow us to leave without the gridlock we had experienced prior when we went to the Black Keys. At that prior concert upon exit we sat unmoving in our car for at least 45 minutes before someone opened a back gate and let us out. We were hopeful the next time that they would have opened that sooner. But NOPE --They no longer open it, they claim, because the city requires they keep that exit clear for emergency vehicles. If you arrive early, DO NOT ALLOW THEM to park you near the back fence/gate. They will not let you out the gate and you will be the last to leave. This is super frustrating because you can't help but see that there's a gate and a clear path away. The visual of an exit is hard to look at when you're stuck and unmoving. Remlinger Farms needs to take into consideration that the first to arrive should be parked closer to feasible exits. It seems unusually punitive to require early birds to be the last to leave, while staring at a blocked exit --when they give up more time prior to the concert to be there early. When cars don't move at all it also just brings up something primal that we all feel when we're trapped, (fight or flight)with no escape. After the Cake concert, with our cars In the back section, we all left our vehicles to see what was going on. One of the women there said that her sister had arrived at 6:45 PM, 15 minutes before the show started and was already on her way home. The show had ended at least an hour prior. Several people gathered and the mood was getting escalated. Trapped people are frustrated people. This to me is completely unacceptable and poor management of resources. To express our frustration , feedback and case for letting us out the gate, some folks all started talking to the manager of parking about what was happening, including telling him of our early arrival---and while the kid was polite he probably was about 19 or 20. You don't put a kid in charge of crowd control during parking exits. This is completely irresponsible and not well thought out. While they may have devised a plan to empty the parking lot as swiftly as possible, in fairness, they also need to take into consideration that first and first out is really a thing, and it keeps people from becoming irate or desperate to leave. One person had their toolbox and was ready to take the back gate off the hinges-- I kid you not, And I don't blame the reaction. At the heart of it, we are still animals that will go to lengths not to be cornered. It's understandable to be the last ones to leave if you are the last in. And that would be a normal expectation. It's unacceptable when you are the first in. Two stars are for the venue and drink service. Zero stars for parking. Will we return? Maybe if the headliner is super amazing and there's a clear indicator that this situation has been mitigated. But if we're seeking an outdoor venue Chateau St. Michelle is the clear choice. We have a limited entertainment budget and choose to spend our money at a venue that respects our time and ensures that we are granted an easy exit. This parking situation is a big deterrent from an otherwise, good venue. We shouldn't feel trapped and panicked after a fun night. I hope management sees this and makes much needed improvements. Until then, we'll seek out other venues first.

The main barnyard area has a nice aesthetic with a photo op area and tractor kids can sit on. There's also a small goat area too, because you can't go wrong with animals. Other attractions included a corn maze that was a bit further, that we decided to skip. There are small children's areas within the barn including a mini tricycle track, corn pit, hay maze, but they honestly weren't memorable. Overall it's a smaller local pumpkin patch farm for a basic visit, but there's definitely potential to grow.

Sweet Icing on the cake: The owners and employees were extremely helpful, patient, and friendly. If we were better prepared, I'd come here to take our family Christmas card photo too. We left paying a little more than anticipated, but the quality and beauty of our first Nord Fir, combined with the exceptional customer service was everything! I have gotten a Christmas tree here every year for as long as I can remember. The owners are a…read morelocal family and are really nice. They have pre-cut trees here, but the big draw for a lot of people is the u cut lot. It used to be that u cut trees were quite a bit cheaper than precut trees, but now I think the prices are pretty much the same across the board wherever you go. Even though it's no longer a big money saver, I think a lot of people do u cut for the experience as it's fun and not something you can do in all climates/parts of the country. Plus, you get a guaranteed fresh tree. The farm added a reservation system a couple years back for ucuts (it's basically just an evite-type RSVP link on their website--free to sign up) that opens in the middle of November. This has really helped with crowd management as the area's population has grown so much over the years. The whole operation is down to an exact science: traffic controlled parking lot, scan your QR code to get a saw, find your tree, take the tractor flatbed back if you don't want to carry the tree all the way, trim/shake/bail (nominal fee for bailing), an employee will help you carry it to your vehicle if you want, and then pay in the shed. They hire an incredible number of seasonal employees for the couple weeks of tree season to keep things running smoothly. I didn't think of this til a couple years ago, but noticed a lot of people tip the person who helps carry your tree - they're mostly high schoolers so $5 is probably a bigger deal to them than it is to you. The checkout area carries some additional merchandise: tree stands, wreaths, some ornaments, etc. They also have free apple cider and candy canes for the kids (and adults) The farm also has a pumpkin patch and maybe some other activities in the fall. Anyways, this year was probably my last year getting a tree here for a while. My family has aged to a point that a tree no longer really makes sense, and I live somewhere that I have no space for a tree. I'm sad that I won't get to continue this annual tradition in the near future, but hopefully one day I'll be able to make it back

Recently, I called to check on a product and the young man who answered brusquely said they didn't have it, so I caved and ordered it from Amazon. Then, I went to pick up some plants and discovered they had what I'd called about. I told the older gentleman who was ringing me up about the exchange and he somewhat rudely just said, "well, we always have that in stock," like I should've known, not the other employee who should've known. On the other hand, he did put out a call for someone to help me with the several bags of soil I ordered and a friendly young gal answered. She had clearly been working hard all morning but she wa so helpful and asked if there was anything else she could help me with before she left to assist another customer she noticed. If all the employees had her friendliness and pep, this place would get 5 stars, easy.

There is also a nearby field with wildflowers in various times of bloom. It was a clear day, allowing us to see impressive Mt Rainier in the background. External info: There seems to be five different types of lavender: English (aka Common or True), French (aka Fringed), Portuguese (aka Spike), Spanish (aka Butterfly), and Lavandin (hybrid of English and Portuguese). Within each type, there are cultivars (specific variation bred for specific traits like color and scent). We saw areas of both the Royal Velvet and Melissa, both cultivars of English lavender. Super happy to have access to the fresh veggies for the remainder of the season and having it be an interactive family outing and learning for our 2.5yo daughter. Due to the heatwave we brought our fruit from the Redmond market in and in our rush, we forgot it there and by the time we got back, someone took it on accident. Stephanie called all the members with fruit pickups to see who mistakenly took it. To our surprise they found the person the day later and we're getting our fruit! I have 2 rules: the tree MUST be real and MUST be from Washington state. So over the river (err... 520 bridge) and through the woods we go to The Gardens at Cottage Creek in Woodinville. It's on the corner of Avondale and NE 132nd St. We were greeted by the owner who is a tall lovely man with a quick smile and baby blue eyes that you could swim in. His dog is pretty cute too! He took the time to show us many, many trees and laid the keepers down so we could narrow our choices. Once we cruised the lot we went back and made our selections. The nursery also had wreaths and a small Fall/Winter plant selection. I've been here in the Spring/Summer and it is full of gorgeous plants and flowers. The hanging baskets are some of the best I have ever seen. I have it on good authority that the owner knows his plants and stocks quality merchandise (read: won't die next week). Seriously go bend his ear and buy some stuff! Now I'm going to go smell the piney goodness of my tree, water it and gaze upon it lovingly. It's not weird or anything.

We got our tree early this year since Thanksgiving falls late in the month. There was a steady stream of people but I can't speak to how busy it may be Thanksgiving weekend or after. The trees are gorgeous! So many options and different types to choose from. We got lucky and it didn't rain while we were there. They have saws and knee pads. We struggled to cut ours down and the helpers they have working there had to assist us. They were truly some of the sweetest young people. They were friendly and funny and incredibly helpful. They shake and wrap it for free and while they loaded it in the back of our vehicle, I'm pretty sure they would've helped tie it up if we wanted it on the top. Our tree is almost 8 feet tall and pretty big around. It's thick and honestly looks fake it's so perfect. It was $169 before tax. We tipped and I highly encourage you to do the same. Even if they just shake and wrap it, they are all working hard here. We will definitely be back. It's a convenient location from Seattle and a great experience!

We arrived well before closing and spent a long time looking. We noticed it was getting late and asked the cashier what time they close. They informed us that they let the last cars in at 4 and stay until everyone has a tree. It was well past 4 so we offered to go but were assured that we could stay and that they would wrap the tree and secure it to the roof of my truck, but they the shaker was turned off for the night. We made our final selection and reconfirmed with the cashier that it wasn't too late and that they would wrap and secure out tree. She gave us a saw and we paid and went to cut the tree down. In the time it took to cut the tree down the owners told all the staff to go home. We wheeled the tree to the wrapping station and were rudely told by the owners that they could not help us, that they were closed, and that we should leave. Both owners were extremely rude and confrontational. They made snide and sarcastic comments and the male owner tried to intimidate me into leaving. I told them if I couldn't transport the tree home after it was cut it was no good to me and the female owner began telling me a long story about previous customers who stayed late. As it was becoming heated I tried to explain that their employee had assured us, twice, that we would still be helped and that we offered to leave but were told to stay the owner said, "she is a stupid teenage girl, what do you expect." Eventually, after I demanded a refund (which they refused) they begrudgingly helped me wrap the tree. They then "helped" be jam the tree in the too small bed of my truck breaking several branches. They flatly refused to help me put the tree on my roof rack where it would fit. Even if the trees weren't extremely expensive, which they are, the customer service, intimidation, swearing, down talking of their own employees, and general discomfort of dealing with the owners makes this a place I would NOT recommend.
