Shopping for an engagement ring is a big decision and one that requires great service. I looked at over 5 different jewelers and found none with the quality or service that Longs in Braintree provided. From the moment I entered the store I was greeted. I went in knowing what setting I wanted but was unsure of the diamond. I was helped immediately by Sue D. I can't speak for other Longs employees, but she was incredible! She sat down with me and went through everything I needed to know about diamonds. She took the time to explain it all. She didn't just read off of the certification sheet, but instead used her extensive knowledge about diamonds to go through every detail of what I needed to know when picking out a diamond. Her expertise on diamonds was unbelievable. Once the overview was finished she began showing me diamonds. I found my perfect diamond pretty quickly but still wanted to see others so that I could compare cut, color, etc. to the one I liked most. She took the time (well over an hour!) to show me all different diamonds. I think she would have sat there all day with me if I needed her to in order to make a decision. She let me examine the diamond I chose (and others) under the microscope explaining everything about it. She even walked me out of the store with the diamond into the middle of the mall so that I could see it under better lighting!!! Her enthusiasm was what truely set the experience apart from any other. She was very enthusiastic and excited to hear all about how we met and my plans for the proposal. It was so genuine that it made me even more excited. She was always smiling and really made the process incredible and effortless. I have since proposed and called in to set up the sizing of the ring. Sue answered and remembered me immediately! This call came over a month after I had made the purchase. She asked all about it and when I went in to pick up the ring she was the first one at the door to greet me and meet my fiancé. The diamond & ring I chose are amazing and everything from the service to the quality of the product were perfect. I really believe that service can make or break an experience and Sue definitely made the experience. I would recommend Longs, but even more so, I would recommend that you ask for Sue D. to help you, because you will not regret it! read more

Thank G*D for the staff at Long's. My first experience there was an appointment to have a family heirloom sized, I WAS SOOOO HAPPY with the results. My mother and her mother before her have both bought their fine jewelry from this wonderful place. If you're a smart shopper you go from jeweler to jeweler looking for the best quality at the best price. 100% of the time I find my deals at Long's! Learn how to shop ESTATE. The staff will tell you that! They're not like some other elitist jewelers who try and swindle you into buying jewelry that is so marked up, you go to have it appraised and you find out you're a fool and not good at shopping for jewelry. I OBSESS over jewelry and know more than your average Joe about most things in the jewelry business. I know when someone is trying to pull one over on me. This has NEVER happened at Long's. They are honest, courteous and very friendly. Ask them ANYTHING! I DARE YOU! You'll get an honest answer. When I walk into that store, which is usually once a month, I ask all sorts of questions, vibe for my options of a potential upgrade (someday!) and look in the Estate Collection for what I can afford on my budget. I have brought friends into this store, with their thought process being "this place will be way too expensive". They are mesmerized by the prices, the quality and the deals. I have converted a few of them to buy at Long's from their previous jewelers. Long's is a Legend where I work. You didn't get a good deal if you didn't go to Long's. I refer everyone and their Mother to this Jeweler. You won't find another place like it. I can't express how very proud I am to say that I am a loyal Long's customer (3rd generation)! read more

I have to update my review based on my most recent purchase: I highly recommend Long's Jewelers in Braintree. I was in the market for a luxury watch and was dealing with John M. He is a complete gentleman and is a true watch enthusiast. It was great dealing with him as he was very knowledgeable in all of the luxury watches in the store and was able to truthfully answer all of my questions without any BS. On one of my first visits they had several models on display that I tried on. A couple of them caught my eye but I wasn't 100% on buying as they weren't exactly what I was looking for. Instead of John pushing to make a sale, he said to wait for what I really wanted. I found this attitude to be very rare in a company. Normally, I've found, companies will push to make an immediate sale (which John easily could have done with me given the current luxury watch market), rather than encouraging the customer to wait for the item they truly want. If you are interested in a luxury watch, jewelry, etc. I highly recommend Longs. They honestly care about giving the customer what they want and not making a quick sale. Previous Review: The staff here is incredible. They are patient, helpful, and really knowledgeable about whatever you need from watches to custom designs. They were recently able to expedite a custom pair of earrings for my wedding anniversary. Not only were the earrings beautiful (and exactly what I needed), the price was competitive and the staff was an absolute pleasure to work with. Years ago, when you retired from a company in which you had spent many decades working, you might receive a Rolex. Times have changed, and receiving any watch is now not the norm. So, I decided to buy the Rolex myself, to mark my fast-approaching milestone. Having traveled the world for 23 years for work, and after researching dozens of companies' watches looking for a Flieger-style watch, the Rolex Air King stood far above the others, for its World War II flight-inspired design and understated elegance. I researched Rolex Authorized Dealers in the Boston area, and am so glad to have met and made the purchase with Geoff St. Mark in Long's Jewelers in Braintree, MA. From our initial meeting, Geoff's friendliness, passion and knowledge about the Rolex line, and genuine interest in finding me the perfect timepiece to help celebrate my retirement, made the whole experience an absolute joy! I cannot thank Geoff enough for remembering me and our conversations, phoning when the watch became available, and for making the entire process the pleasure it became. Friday i got a call from John Marcello of Long's Jewelers of Braintree Mass , about a watch I've been looking to get for some time now. My wife and I are loyal customers and only buy from Long's Jewelers of Braintree. In the past we have shopped at many different jewelry stores. The difference between other jewelry stores and Long's is John Marcella. Every watch i have asked for i never had to ask for twice and Friday was a great example when he called to let me know he got me a Rolex that i asked him for . This watch I have been trying to get for many years with other jewelers with no success . Since we have been dealing with John he has gotten us many Rolex watches . He got a Rolex for my wife as a Christmas gift for myself. My wife is a small lady and John after selling the watch to her asked there store security named Lance if he would walk my wife through the mall to our car to make sure she was safe. This demonstrates just how much John cares about his customers and not just a sale. My wife was overwhelmed with this offer to walk her to the car for her safety. A big shout out to Lance for making my wife feel safe and John for all his honesty and hard work . When we got there we were offered gloves and sanitizer and only allowed a few in the store at a time for customers safety. I don't know which Long's store this applies to, as my experience was totally done over the Internet. Bu I'm sure all the stores have the same policies. I decided about 1 1/2 years ago that what was really missing in my life was a Ruby ring. I searched everywhere for one, including several jewelry stores in lower Fairfield County, Connecticut, where I live. I found nothing I liked, until I received an email from Long's, showing a beautiful ring with a ruby, surrounded by diamonds. I immediately ordered it, using my credit card. The ring was really beautiful, even nicer than the photo. But it just wasn't right for me. It didn't look good on my hand. So I contacted Long's and asked about returning it. They emailed me an address label and told me to take the ring to a Fed Ex store. I did, and they credited my card for the full total amount. They didn't even charge for the shipping fee. I really wish they had a store closer to my house. These days, when everyone seems to nickel-and-dime you to death, it's really a pleasure to deal with such a "classy" outfit. Shopping for an engagement ring can be very nerve racking because you want to make sure you buy that perfect ring for your loved one. I went into Long's Jewelers and informed one of the sales representatives what type of ring I was looking for and how much I was looking to spend. The sales associate David Homsy made this process very stress free and simple for me. Rather than just showing me a bunch of different rings he walked me through how diamonds are cut, the difference in colors, and the clarity of diamonds. After we picked out the right center stone diamond we then discussed what type of ring I was looking for. David was nice and patient enough to show me almost every possible option on how I wanted the ring to look like. We finally picked out the right ring to go with center stone. My expecations were it would take a few weeks to find the right engagement ring, but with David's excellent expertise on diamonds it only took me a couple of hours. Had a wonderful experience at Long's @ South Shore Plaza. The care and service I received from John was incredible. Communication was top notch and he kept me in the loop about the status of an incoming watch I had requested throughout the way. The store itself is situated in the mall with ample parking. It is spacious, well lit, with attention to detail like customer spacing and hand sanitation (needed in these days of Covid). I was greeted and welcomed by an associate at the door by name, who even said he was expecting me! John went out of his way in answering my questions, addressed all my doubts, and treated me with more respect than any other high end jewelry story or watch AD that I have frequented in the recent past. I have lived in Boston for 33 years now (I came here as freshman in college) and have shopped at literally all the jewelry stores including those in Downtown Crossing. Long's is the one I turn to first and is my go to jewelry store, surpassing all those and including those on Newbury St. Their selection of pieces is second to none but what sets them apart are the relationships they cultivate with their clients. I have know Mike Bellloli now for 10+ years. Mike knows my kids' names and my wife's name. He has helped me select many many pieces for my wife and knows her taste. Mike is a credit to the profession and is a genuine decent person like all of Long's associates. Whenever I am seeking something, I turn to Mike first. I recently contacted Longs Jewlers to find a desirable Rolex watch and they put me in touch with John Marcello. I explain to him which watch I was looking for and he knew exactly what I wanted. When I reached out to other rolex dealers they quickly dismissed any notion of being able to get this watch for me. Although I never worked with John before he assured me that he would try his best to find the watch. Not only was he very professional and knowledgeable but true to his word. I had been in the market for a rather difficult-to-find watch. Long's was one of the first destinations along my AD journey - not just because they always have a great selection of products, but more so because of the positive customer experience they've maintained with me over the years. Long's staff listen, are knowledgeable, and in my experience, are honest about what they know is happening in the market. To exemplify, I always work with John regarding my timepiece interests. Would like to put in a great word for John Marcello at the Long's Jewelers in Braintree at South Shore Plaza. I was looking for something very specific and although the store didn't have what I wanted at the time, John made the effort to speak with me, get to know me and understand what I needed. Although it was a pleasant visit, I assumed that was the end of it and I would continue my search...I assumed wrong. Love that the staff was wearing masks and gloves. I went there to have my original wedding band and engagement ring resized. I hadn't worn it in more than 5 years and I did not buy it from there either. But Longs has an excellent reputation and I asked my work team if anyone had done business with them and someone raised their hand. He said they resized his grandfathers wedding ring and came out like nothing had happened. My engagement ring is platinum and band is white gold. Both came out beautiful. Mike was the person that helped me and aside from the zillion and one questions I had for him, he was so patient with me. He educated me on several things and after 45 minutes I felt comfortable. I went into Long's Jewelers in Braintree because My diamond ring setting needed repair. After realizing that it would probably be better to replace the setting rather than repair it, I started asking questions about doing a bezel setting rather than a traditional setting. The girl at the front counter had me talk to Sue Davidson, thinking that she would be able to better serve me. Sue saw exactly what my vision was and helped me to create a beautiful setting for my diamond! I could not be happier with the quality and the ring looks perfect with my wedding band. Rather than try to sell me an expensive setting, they were enthusiastic about making a ring that would have so much meaning. Not only was the result a stunning ring, but they turned it around quickly so that we would have it in time for a family reunion. I highly recommend Hefez & Sons!

Greeted me with the sincerest hello how are you known to humankind. Precious. Fixed my wrist watch in a flash, faster than a speeding bullet. We talked a bit as she performed open glass on watch surgery, small talk. Conversation was a nice vibe though, a pleasant mix of professionalism and time passing joking. Value-add. It was so magnificent, I inquired about other watches and we casually took a look at a Movado and a Rolex. Luxuriant. So after a Decade of begging, my husband finally upgraded my wedding ring. Of course it was too big…read moreso I wanted to have ring balls inserted so I went to Jared's. I arrived late in the day and had fully anticipated on departing with my ring for a week or two. When I went in, I was greeted by general manager, Ashley Coffey. Ashley was so nice and attentive. She gave me an excellent price for the repair and they fixed my ring within a couple of hours. When I got home I still was not happy with the size so I returned the next day and she had it fixed on the spot. I also purchased a necklace and earrings and she took my trade in and gave me a great price. I highly recommend Jared's in Braintree. Top notch service

I had visited a couple other jewelry shops, only to be given the brush off for not wanting to purchase a new watch. When I walked into Avitabile Jewelers, I was greated by Amelia, who listened to what I had to say and cheerfully performed the repair. Because of her kindness and understanding of the sentimental value of the watch, and her n"no pressure" approach, I also purchased a new leather band She patiently walked me through the catalog, showing me several alternatives When I returned to have the band intsalled, Amelia had seen me coming through the front door and was already getting the new band ready I was pleasantly surprised to see that from our previous discussion, she had selected two options for me. I ended up taking her second option! She installed replaced the band and I was on my way. The kind attitude and no-pressure sales approach were greatly appreciated. I Know I will return in the future!

Started to be worn early 2019, after being resized. He opted for a platinum band due to it being stronger than white gold (per the jeweler). immediately there were problems. I want to start by saying, we DID sign up for the service plan and we did bring it in every 6 months consistently for upkeep, up until 2022 when we just gave up. More often then every 6 months, the Diamond would come lose. not only just lose, but extremely lose. We were bringing this ring in probably every 4-6 months, to "tighten" the diamond in place. Nothing seemed to work. It was constant. I was unable to wear my new engagement ring because it eventually had to be "shipped out" numerous times to be properly "tightened". well, fast track to 2022. I'm literally sitting at my office job, and i feel some pressure on my ring finger. i look and my platinum ring is completely distorted. cracked at the bottom. bent. you name it. I was lucky i saw it when i did, or it could have completely fallen off, to be lost. (pics attached). I was so upset. We brought it to Reeds immediately, and heather belittled us. Told us this had to have been from an injury, or some type of accident that caused the ring to crush. Mind you, there were no injuries on my hand...just a bent ring. bent at the BOTTOM. if something crushed it, it would crack at the sides, not the bottom. she was so rude. offered to send it off and they could 'see what they could do'. since we had the service plan, they so graciously poorly sawdered the ring back together. the band came back so flimsy, thin, and theres a huge gash at the bottom were you can clearly see the defect. A few months later, i got a new job. we cannot wear anything that sets off a a metal detector. Surprise. my engagement ring sets it off. I can no longer wear my "100% platinum ring" to work. I reached out to cooperate, and they told me the that ring contains nickel, and is 90-95% platinum. no a big deal, but we would have picked gold if we had known this could have been an issue. cooperate also, had almost no records of us constantly bringing it in for the lose diamond. only once or twice was it recorded in their system.... we stopped going back to service visits after this. we were quite frankly done doing business with Heather. well, fast forward to today and my diamond is loose again. My husband brought it in, and heather once again belittled us, telling my husband i should be taking 'proper care' of my ring. the ring that i cannot and do not even wear 4/7 days of the week. (also, was not worn for a year due to pregnancy). she claimed our service plan relapsed and very hastily told my husband shed sent it out for appraisal. i reached out to cooperate again, and the had the director of manufacturing access the ring. They told us they recommended having the ring recasted completely, and redesigning the head design. they said the RESIZING LIKELY compromised the integrity of my band which could be why the ring crushed and has had issues. weird, nobody told us getting the band resized would potentially cause any issues. when my husband got this ring designed, nobody legit nobody warned him of ANY issues. However, they claimed we did not purchase the service contract AT ALL now..so we can 'reinvest' in our ring, if we would like. funny, - i thought all these issues were only my fault? oh yeah, we dropped off my wedding band we purchased from them as well, married in 9/21, wore the ring for 1 year before taking it off for pregnancy. two diamonds already missing. i have a third diamond band from Kay. no service plan, no 6 month services, legit not one problem with that ring. currently waiting for them to contact me. Hopefully they will fix this issue properly. seriously take your money elsewhere.

Their staff don't push watches on customers, rather they listen to you and suggest pieces that you may be interested in based on your preferences. They'll probably let you try on any watch that is less than $100,000. I have been many times to the store because I think that it is necessary to try on watches in the metal before purchasing. I love the store, and I hope you check them out.
