Would give zero stars if I could, but I have had a previous manicure that was decent so I'm averaging both. Manicure pedicure took TWO HOURS. The older gentleman who did my mani pedi was bossing me around and painting my nails /all over my fingers. It is quite literally the worst manicure I've ever had. So sloppy that there are parts of my fingernails that are unpainted while my finger tips have polish on them. So I was in town for the wedding of a girlfriend of mine. I got to the hotel (located behind a strip mall) and decided I had to do something about my nails. Front desk helped me locate this one. I walk in to a very zen like spa salon, leather chairs, different areas for relaxing hands, feet or both. Well lit and nicely appointed. The lady at the front desk asked me to sign in and i asked her how long the wait was. She said no wait. True to her word, another young lady came to get me immediately and I was cheerfully plunked down in a pedicure chair. The lady who was doing my pedicure was a sweetheart, very funny and attentive. She was joined shortly by a lady who asked if it was okay to start my manicure at the same time. While the service was going on the lady who'd started my pedicure went to get a preprinted price list to ask me what I wanted. I said just a regular mani/pedi please. She kept pointing to the first service listed which stated $27 for what I THOUGHT said manicure pedicure. She pointed to it again to be sure we'd understood each other and I nodded and said yes, a regular manicure/pedicure please. Each lady finished my hands and feet, I dried and then went to the front to pay. The lady at reception announced my total, $37. I said but I chose the service on top, the one that says $27? she said that is for (something called) a Maintenance Pedicure. The word I had thought said manicure actually said maintenance. I said oh, okay, when the lady who was doing my pedicure came back there with this sheet she kept pointing to this service, I misread it. The receptionist kind of giggles and goes no, not $27, I don't know where you could get both for $27. Now for some reason, her tone is all the way turnt up. I said first of all, calm it down. Second of all, the lady who did my pedicure pointed at this service when I said I wanted a basic regular manicure pedicure. Third of all in the city where I am everyday? a mani/pedi is TWENTY SIX dollars but what do I know, New York probably isn't as up to date about stuff like that as they are in Longview, Texas. The ladies who did my mani/pedi were quick, personable and courteous, they did an amazing job. The environment itself was very relaxing and comfortable and they took me as a walk in, no appointment necessary. The first reviewer said that customer service is not the greatest. That is the understatement of the century but only with regard to Miss Girl at the front desk. How's about you have a seat in the back and see if your coworkers can't hand massage the shittiness outcha attitude? Hey here's what, it might have been totally worth it if my overpriced nails had lasted longer than a day. The polish literally just fell the hell off. Very disappointed in my manicure. I have used this salon on many occasions, but both times I have had a man do the mani, it was the worst experience ever. I have been burned by the drill and he never acknowledged what he had done. When I first entered the salon, and tried several times to explain what kind of pedicure I wanted, I was brushed off and told to have a seat and someone would help me shortly. True to there word, a man came over and led me to a pedicure chair to get my mani. I still tried to get the person at front to explain what I wanted. WASTE OF TIME! I had my nail done on Tuesday, and by Thursday my nails were peeling and breaking off. I was charged $50 for this sub-standard work, and did not ask for French tip manicure. If I could give this place -5 stars, I would. I second what each of the other posters has said. I have lived all over the US, so I knew I wasn't going into a grand salon, but damn! I requested a mani/pedi, and a lower leg wax. The wax was just okay for being in a pinch, I'll give it 2.5 stars since the lady was friendly and gave me some useful after care tips. The man who did my pedicure was ignorant and rude. He treated me disdainfully (I won't even begin to guess why...?) and then talked about me in Vietnamese during my entire pedicure. Given that my feet are well-kept and that I was well-dressed, I chalked it up to typical Texas nail salon BS. He then was unable to do a design, and could not locate anyone to do it, so I moved to the manicure. I had Japanese Axium gel on my nails which seemed to pose a problem. The manicurist immediately launched into a slew of questions like "What kind gel?" and "Where this done?". I repeatedly told them it was Aksentz gel, and was done in NYC, and that their Shellac remover would not suffice. Finally, I pointed to the drill and instructed the man on how to remove it. After "accidentally" burning me with the drill, I decided I'd had enough and told them I wanted another manicurist. Once he was replaced, he feigned upset ignorance. Too bad. In the end, I got what has been the weakest manicure I've ever had. Shellac is garbage, and so is this establishment. To top it all off, they refused to accept my Amex card, which resulted in me being sent to an ATM while being asked to "leave something of value, otherwise how we know you return?" I will reserve my opinions and state the facts: *this establishment is employing illegal immigrants who are unprofessional and rude (they have fake licenses on the wall, look closely) * this establishment provides subpar services for way too much money * If you are looking for better service and better products, go to Pure Nails across the way. I looked into them later on and they were way more up to snuff. * DO NOT attempt to use an Amex in this establishment, they do not accept them. I hate that the reviewers on here so far have had bad experiences. Most seem to be out of towners, and if you go to someone other than who you are used to, you'll never be happy. I've been coming here for 7 years. Ive gotten acrylic nails, pedicures and gel color during this time. I ALWAYS ask for Lee to do my nails. She's the owner and in my opinion, the only person who does a great job at nails. The others are mediocre. Lee is fast, professional and does amazing work. Pedicures have always turned out great. Some techs are friendlier than others but all have done a great job. Longview Nails is the only place in town that I'll go. In response to the reviewer who claimed that they arw illegal immigrants and that their licenses are fake, try again. I don't know how they do things in New York, but in Texas we have health commissions and licensing bureaus that check on places like this regularly. If they were fake and illegal, they wouldn't have been in the same location under the same name for over 10 years....... read more

I have been here a few times and the guys that have done my nails before have always done a fantastic job. This past time I came and decided I wanted to also get a pedicure... little did I know I would not ever be coming back. I sat in the chair and picked my color out and put my feet in the water... way too hot! She didn't adjust it and just told me itll cool off... she started on my toes and ouch, she had decided to cut my SKIN... so I was bleeding on two toes on the same foot! Meanwhile another lady was at my fingers and asked what color I wanted... I told her the same color that I picked for my toes and then the two women started talking to each other and laughing! I'm not one that usually minds it when people talk in a different langue but these two were walking about me and laughing (they kept gesturing towards me so yes talking about me). After countless attempts at stopping the bleeding and being laughed at I told the woman doing my feet to stop... no way was a continuing the foot torture. After trying to pressure me into continuing both of the women finally gave up and I i was able to move to a chair to at least get my nails finished (at this point my fingers were wrapped in tin foil). I moved to the table and end up picking a different color for my nails. I asked her to do them a little thicker than normal bc I have a tendency to break them within a few days. As she started on the coloring she was doing her best to rush through my nails. She kept squeezing my fingers so much they hurt and I would turn my entire arm to try and get it to where she was twisting my fingers to. After all that she ended up doing them with two coats of dipping powder and after grinding them down I can see through the color pretty well. Not to mention I asked her to cut or file my nails and she laughed and said "no they good hunny." My nails are not only see through there are spots where the color didn't even touch and none of the nails are the same size or shape! This was the worst experience I have ever had at this place and I drive 35 minutes to get my nails done here... that definitely won't be happening again. When I asked about it...I was made to fill like I'm stupid and was told "you need to out pink/white fill" which I did. Do not go to this Nail salon. I have never had worse service in my life. It was so bad that I did not even let the lady finish my pedicure. I left and will never be going back. First off when checking in she was extremely rude, and showed her annoyance with me picking the cheapest pedicure (which was not cheap- $37!) She sat me down then began chattering in her native language, which is normal. When she turned the water on it was luke warm. Then she went straight to cutting my cuticles without any soaking or cuticle cream. I was annoyed but let her do it until she cut my skin. I decided to take my Mom out to have our nails done after finding this place when I went to AT & T to upgrade my phone; they were next door! After having our nails done; which the workers took their time and made them look great! I decided to splurge to have a facial as well! The experience was Fantastic! It was a 30 minute facial which also included having a massage to your arms, neck and shoulders as well as the face itself! My Mom and I were glowing afterwards! I left with a gash in my pedicure, the top coat of my shellac all over my nails so sloppy, nails glued to my skin from the sloppy top coat, it appears that dirt is in my manicure with rough bumps on the top. Horrible. Went because I was on a time crunch and my usual girl (at another salon) was busy. I should've just waited.. went to get french shellac. For starters, the woman who started my nails kept insulting me about how short my fingernails are. She proceeded to give me the most painful manicure of my life before doing my shellac. I should've known they'd be wrong when she kept prompting me to remove my hand from the light before the timer was up. Almost two hours, no lotion and $45 dollars later, I was done. I got my nails done on Tuesday and by Friday they were chipping, bad. I went back on Saturday to have them fixed and they argued with me About them, blaming me for the chipping! I get shellac all the time, they never chips so fast! Finally they sent an extremely rude woman to "fix them" she painfully filed the old shellac away and kept swatting my hands when she wanted the other. Half was through fixing them she called someone on her cell, got up and walked away. She didn't return for over 10 minutes. She finished my nails and said 'you're done' and walked away. No cuticle oil, no lotion. Then I looked down and they were HORRIBLE. As if she'd intentionally completely screwed them up. There was shellac ALL OVER MY FINGERS AND UNDER MY FINGER NAILS! The white from my french tip is smeared nearly half way down my nails on some and my tips are completely jagged. They looked so atrocious that I had to leave and immediatly go get them redone. If I could give this place no stars, I would. I went there on a recommendation. Lee was the person I requested for acrylic nails. They tried to talk me into someone else. I told them that lee had been recommended and that is who I wanted. She did a pretty good job but was VERY rude and made me feel like I was a problem for her. But anyone can have a bad day so I gave her another chance. The second time I went, an older guy sat down in the chair and started to drill. I said I wanted Lee. He said he was just going to get started until Lee got there. He cut me several times with the drill and I had to literally pull my hands away and insist on Lee. She was still horrible but did pretty good nails. The third time, It was on a Saturday and she was even worse! She was constantly interrupted by other employees for exchange of money, she even got up and walked away for a while during my manicure without a word of explanation.
