I'm giving this place 3 stars. I'll comment on what was good what was not. I will try them once more to see if what I disliked was because they were busy or if the staff really is as bad as they seem. My boyfriend & I went on a Sunday. He called beforehand and they guy (Joseph) said they could take us if we came now. That was fine. We walked in & its gorgeous inside. This is where the positive part of the review stops. Sadly. He showed us to the VIP room. I dont think it was - I think it's just the pedicure room. Still was nice though. We asked for a drink menu. This place offers 1 free alcoholic (or non alcoholic) drink. The entire menu was not spell checked. I'll post a photo. It doesnt actually have a list of what they have. It took them 15 minutes to get us the menu (after I asked a 2nd time for it). A guy tech finally came in and gave me and my boyfriend their Services List. We already knew we wanted basic pedicures. He literally scoffed. Um. Excuse me... if you offer it don't be rude when people request it. He took my drink order. I couldnt tell what they had so I just said red wine. My boyfriend asked for a specific martini. He came back with mine. He said my boyfriend would have to wait for the bartender. My boyfriend's tech still hadn't come in. My tech ran the water too hot for me then when I said something, made it too cold. And just left. I was going to let him know but oh well. My boyfriend's tech comes in. Neither tech was friendly or said hello. Just wanted to know which service. She went to ask about my boyfriend's drink after I asked her to. She came back and said they couldnt do that. He asked for something else. She went back and told Joseph. Joseph is the front person and the 'bartender.' That guy stayed busy. I felt bad for him. Halfway through my boyfriend's pedicure-no drink. I look mad at this point. She could tell so she went and checked again. Finally got it 5 minutes later. Was very good. The pedicure was not great. He hurt me. I would literally go "ouch!" and he just grabbed my foot again. The paint job was sloppy and not professional. They gave us the tickets and walked away without any word. When we were in line to check out, there was a woman in front of us who had come in to complain about her nail job. Doesnt bode well. They didnt really do much for her either. I have mixed reviews on even trying it again, but the nail places in Longview are terrible. At least this one serves drinks... The one positive about this place other than it's really nice inside is that they serve drinks. Joseph is very friendly as well. read more

I asked for a refill with Ombré color. I had nude color acrylic. Tech used pink acrylic that did not match. I asked him to fix and find the right shade. Tech asked someone else to do my nails. New tech was rude and asked why I didn't communicate what I wanted. I DID. He was very rushed and nicked my cuticles. (They are still sore) I usually get offered a massage or beverage. But not this time. Although the manager stood close by the entire time. They also didn't seem to know how to do Ombré and failed on mine and my daughters. It took two hours to get nails that look like amateurs did the work. I felt unwanted and like I was a problem. The vibe was like everyone was talking about me for making them redo the work. I would not recommend. Went back a couple of days later to get them repaired. Needed to wait for the cuts to kinda heal. Waited over 2 hours to get any help. read more

Salon was not busy at 4:30 pm on a Saturday recently. 5 customers total! Unsure why as this is usually a busy time on Friday evening. My friend had issues with her color selection vs what was applied. But the manager corrected it without complaint. Clean and quiet the day we were there-much less busy than I recalled. read more

Worse place ever. I thought they were good. They were my go to spot for almost a year now but I don't know what happened. Their nail techs have been less and less and their quality is just not there anymore. My nails pealed up a day after getting them done I went in to talk to them to see about getting it fix but got blown off. They have also cut my fingers many times and have Dremel Into my nail bed so bad that I can't even what nails on now till the damage is grown out. Went in to get a mani pedi for my son's wedding. These two ladies worked at the same time. Both did a good job and gave attention to detail. The only negatives would be that you have to beware of the upsell. I always fall for it. And she did trim my fingernails shorter than I really wanted. She cut them down to match the shortest one and I would have preferred adding a tip to that one to match the rest. Overall I still really like this place and will continue to go back there. read more

Grand Lux is spotlessly clean and pleasantly relaxing with quiet music and silent TV's to watch. Tom the manager (owner?) is warm, friendly and welcoming. The nail technicians are kind and gentle. Two of us got fancy nails--gel with acrylic tips. One got a hand painted design on one nail that was exquisite. It all looked great. We had a really nice time. read more

terrible decision to come here , I got very short nails and paid 50$ for them but they are so chunky , then I paid for two pedicures my toe nail was crooked and the message was horrible barely put any effort into it , the other pedicure for my partner they didn't even file nor drill or cut his toe nails either I had to ask for him then the lady looked confused wen I asked her to cut them for him . My nail tech was Kim I had my nails taken off and put back on and then dip powder she was so quick my nails are absolutely perfect I don't have any of the old nails showing underneath my cuticles look beautiful she was great I will go back there again. read more

Don't do it. Just don't. I was out of town on a business trip and really needed my nails done, so I took a chance and stopped in here. The picture shown is one of my nails after less than 24 hours (Gel refill). When I asked the lady how long she had been doing nails (just to chit chat) she laughed and made fun of me for asking. That's unprofessional. Go to somewhere more dependable. They also would never give me a straight answer as far as how much it would cost me to get acrylic on top of my regular nails. That was annoying, and it ended up being $35 plus I did tip her because I'm a sucker like that. Def not worth the 40 bucks. Not only is my nail chipping but I have indents and bumps along the rest of my nails. Lesson learned. read more

I am moving to the area and was browsing for a new pedi tech, I requested a basic pedicure- rushed the establishment was not busy at all. calluses weren't removed properly, cuticles were not touched, she grazed over them as if she was cutting them, you can still see the streaks in my shellac. Excellent waxing experience!!! I had Myha and I will definitely be returning next time I am in Longview and in need of waxing services. She is very sweet and made sure I was very comfortable. I had the eyebrow and underarm wax. I feared my underarm hair was too short which it was on the smaller side yet she said that's no big deal and thoroughly plucked anything the wax didn't grab at no extra cost. She made great conversation, gave great beauty tips, and wasn't overwhelming or quiet. I think it was a little rough but I'm pretty relaxed about that as a waxing experience anywhere can only be so gentle. The picture shows my eyebrows which never get the memo to look related as they grow completely different. She did a great job on them, they're not too thin and look very natural. Very quick in and out, no appointment was needed however I would still recommend calling ahead as they can get a little busy. I am in town from Houston and went here to get a fill and shellac pedicure. I should have waited until I went home. The service was terrible and the results are even worse. My nails look like the first attempt of someone who is just learning to do a full set. The man who did my pedicure was rude, he would roll his eyes and huff under his breath anytime I moved my feet to the point I asked him what his problem was. Please don't go here. The guy did acrylics (after I asked for powder dip, by the way) start to finish in 25 minutes and they look awful. My cuticles were dry and bleeding after (when they were perfectly fine before.) I like to take my girlfriend to get her nails done . We typically use another spa in Tyler Tx , but we were in Longview and she needed her nails done for that afternoon so we tried this place . Looks very professional, but the service for the nails is HORRIBLE. The nail tech did not know what he was doing on her nails. Had to call another employee over to help , and she still didn't get it right . And , In the mean time , the manager of the establishment came over to watch the situation, and she was not very professional either . She gave my girlfriend and I mean looks and they were all talking in a foreign language , not English , and the whole experience was just unpleasant to say the least. This building is so nice from the outside and I was hoping for a pedicure later in the day, so I stopped in to check it out. I walked in and the fumes smacked me in the face. I went to choose a color and everything was covered in polish - the whole place felt grimey. Even over the paint fumes, I inexplicably smelled fresh cigarette smoke! I tried to pick out a color but the smells were making me sick and I felt uncomfortable with the vibes from the staff. Took my husband for a couples massage. When you walk in, it is absolutely beautiful and so luxurious. Then you see the restroom, ugggg could have been cleaner. THEN you walk into the massage room. This is where you take your hard earned $140.00 and throw it in the trash and set it on fire. The floor is dirty. Rooms are so small my arm was pinched between the massage therapist chair and the table. The beds are small and hard as a rock. My masseuse had the same skill level of massaging someone as a 5 year old. My husband said his was okay, not the best but not the worst. I am now sitting at another spa hoping they are able to correct what now hurts on me worse than it did this morning. I am really doubting if my masseuse was even licensed. read more

The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because my pedicure was good. I came in at 12 on a Tuesday. There were probably 10 people there. They do require you wear a mask constantly which is fine except when it takes 3 hours to get a pedicure and new set. My pedicure was done well, although I don't appreciate a $20 up charge for shellac when it's not that much more difficult for the tech than normal polish. I sat for an hour waiting on one of the 5 people doing nails while 12 others are only doing pedicures. I wish I was exaggerating when I said this is the worst set I've had in years. First off, I picked a color that matched my toes exactly and it's not the color he used. I wanted dip, he did acrylic - even after I said I wanted dip three times. The shape is absolutely atrocious. My nails aren't long enough to do a good coffin shape so I said I just wanted them to taper in a little (so not completely square) he acted like he understood. But cut them way too far in. When he asked how I liked them before putting on the top coat, I told him they were horrible and had to point out every little thing for him to do a basic cleanup around my skin and make them somewhat less crooked. I got so tired of pointing everything out, I just said to finish it and had to come home and file them myself! Just don't waste your time. read more

i'm a cancer patient whom went to grand lux day spa for a mani/pedi an got a staph infection due to their supplies and foot spa not properly being sterilized. I even notified them right when I saw this infection happing and was treated very rudely, I've requested to speak with owner multiple times but ironically the owner is never around. Longview Texas, this nail place is PLAYING yall. I live in Fort Worth and I can tell you they are running a terrible business. I only got a basic pedicure since I'm passing through town and wanted to check this place out. From the time Peter sat down to the time I was checking out was under 15 min. Under 15 MIN YALL. Don't let this place fool you. There's no such thing as a pedi in that short of a time. The man refused to massage. After he put Lotion on my legs, I asked him how long the massage was with the basic., mind you, I already knew it was 5 min and I had timed the process of Lotion application. It was 82 seconds. He told me that the basic did not come with a massage and he was just helping me out by putting Lotion on my legs. I'm not even playing yall. His exact words. So essentially the man put Lotion on my legs and painted my toes with the polish I BROUGHT from home. And I was out the door in less than 15 min. They really thought it was acceptable to pay $35 for that. Management offered a $5 discount. Comical to say the least. THIS PLACE IS A FRAUD. Go elsewhere. FYI: basic Pedi in the DFW is $20-25 and 30-45 min at least. read more
