I went Great Stone Castle and Spa for a solo Birthday get away. A gift from my husband. The…read morebuilding itself is beautiful and the history was everywhere. Walking into the castle felt like walking into the 90s with the decor and homey feel. I enjoyed walking around and looking at all of woodwork, decor, and pictures The hosts were very kind and welcoming. I had an hour relaxation massage and hand and foot scrub. Very relaxing and just what this tired Mom needed. The Brighton room was cozy and peaceful, the bed very comfortable. I had peace and quiet and that was just what I was looking for. To top it off, I had ordered food delivery and after 2 -1/2 hour wait it never came and I had no dinner. One of the hosts, Jerome found me and I explained and he insisted on making sure I was fed and heated me up a steak and fried potatoes. I was so grateful and it was delicious and way better than the delivery that never came. In the morning I was fed the fluffiest Griddle pancake that was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside served with honey vanilla butter sauce and maple syrup. I also had cheesy eggs toast and sausage. It was all fantastic! I had to take half home it was so filling. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing night away. It's like stepping back in time and the Spa is beautiful. Andrea was so kind and her services were excellent! Thanks for a great night!

Gorgeous property with absolutely stellar spa services. My husband surprised me with a spa day here…read moreand I was totally blown away. I was a bit hesitant, because, to be honest, the decor in the mansion is a bit outdated. Still beautiful, but slightly cluttered. But the spa services were absolutely fantastic and very reasonably priced. The facial, body wraps, scrubs, and massages were all A+. Owners were very sweet and accommodating and the food was good. I would drive up from Cincinnati any time for a massage from Randi!

Life can be stressful. Over a month ago I needed a massage and decided to try this place out…read more Outside if the building doesn't look like much, but when you get inside... wonderful. First the place smells amazing. I know thats weird to say, but it was very pleasant... increasing as you go further inside. As i walked to the massage room, i asked the therapist... are you all burning candles? She said it was because of the salt cave. She said that you can smell the Himalayan Sea Salt from nearby room. She told me about the cave (which is on their name) and i said... well i know what i will be doing another day. Massage was great... felt relaxed and revitalized after. And of course the pleasant aroma of the Himalayan Sea Salt made the experience better. I had to come back and try that cave! One thing that happened that was interesting... my first time here, i checked in and there was an offer for a free piece/stone of Himalayan sea salt on your first check in through yelp. I brought it up to the workers there and they had no idea what i was talking about. They called the owner and the owners laughed saying that was created when they first opened years ago. She didnt even know that was still there. They honored the offer. Kudos on that! Big pet peeve is when a business wont honor their check in offers. Also loved the little stone. Picture is on the review. Anyway, I held off doing a review until my next appointment, a half hour in the salt cave followed by an hour massage. So my next appointment was today... salt cave rocked! Room is big enough for 4 people. It only costs $12 to book it for half an hour... which is cheap even when you do it alone but if you bring three friends or family members... $3 each?!?! Thats a steal! Supposedly there are thousands of pounds of Himalayan Sea Salt in the cave thats brought in from Pakistan. They have a machine that crushes salt and puts it in the air. Allegedly 30 minutes in here gives all the benefits of days of breathing sea air. The seating is very comfortable... nice leather recliners. They also have a salt lamp stand in front of each chair to rest your feet. So i spent 30 minutes... just relaxing... meditating... blissful silence. I may have fallen asleep at the end. That room was so relaxing. Once those 30 minutes were over, I went and got a massage. I came out a new man. This place also provides other services and i included the info in one of the pictures. If your in Van Wert of the area, definitely come down! After all we all need to relax and just let go of all the bad life throws at us!

My MIL showed up for an appointment a few days before me and the lady she had scheduled and…read moreconfirmed with "forgot" about her. The front desk was rude to her and said "you don't have an appointment, what do you want me to do about it?". I had an appointment scheduled a couple of days later for a full color and had to flex my time to make my appointment (made weeks in advance). Received a text from the stylist on the day of my appt canceling. When I shared it was inconvenient, she told me it was also inconvenient for her that her baby sitter fell through. Found out later through a client of hers she hasn't had a baby sitter for awhile, so I could've been informed in advance my appt wasn't happening. Highly recommend you don't schedule here if you want respect of your time and consideration that you also have a life going on.

I actually booked my appointment through The Hairline. My mom, sister, and I arrive at what we…read morebelieve is The Hairline salon, but we arents positive because there is no sign on the door. The hair stylist who welcomes us ignores my moms question of whether or not this is The Hairline. I state that I have a noon appointment for The Hairline, and even show the stylist my conversation between The Hairline facebook business page and myself; the conversation is as clear as day, and even names several of the stylists who offered to cut my hair. The stylist at the counter doesn't say anything, just takes my information and goes to find another stylist to do my hair. Obviously, I must be in the right place if theyre taking me, right? RIGHT??? My stylist (I think her name was Terri) was absolutely fantastic. She went with my vague idea of what I wanted, kept as much length as possible while giving me layers to relieve weight of my thick hair. She didn't rinse the shampoo/conditioner off of my scalp as much as I would have liked, but I have insanely thick hair, so I dont hold it against her. 3/4 of the way through my cut, I try to connect to their wifi. Im from Nebraska, so I have no signal in St Marys. Low and behold, the only business wifi to come up is The Fringe. Thats when I discovered I was poached, and I didn't even have service to let The Hairline know it had happened. After my cut and style, I happily paid and tipped Terri, since she was an innocent bystander in this nonsense. To my knowledge, she didn't know I was poached. After I left The Fringe, I eventually found The Hairline and went in to apologize and tip my should-have-been stylist, since I took up her valuable time when she could have had another client. YA'LL. I found out that The Fringe constantly pulls this with clients! They have people come in looking for The Hairline, and won't say that they have the wrong business, and will just steal them! TLDR; The Fringe is an unethical business that knowingly steals another businesses clients. Do not go here. Do not support unethical businesses.
