We ordered the jasmine flower and green tea sets, as well some steamed buns. The couple who owns the establishment are very kind and eager to show you the art of tea drinking. The owner arrives at your table with your super cool tea drinking set, and proceeds to pour the hot water into a cup containing the tea leaves. This is then poured into a sieve and finally, you pour it into the drinking cup. The tea itself was very aromatic and light. I've never felt so tranquil and at ease. Sitting in front of a view of Old Montreal and sipping warm and fresh tea was one unforgettable experience.

The highlight for me is the tasting table. There's six tables you can walk in and sit at, and the menu has one item per type of tea (white, green, etc). Each order comes with two contrasting teas within the category (Chinese vs Japanese green), for you to enjoy head-to-head. I hear they rotate the teas, see pic for example of the menu! The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with my many questions. As a tea shop they have a massive selection of teas in an easily understood menu, and many quite nice teaware pieces that are reasonably priced and designed specifically by/for Camellia Sinensis. They also sell tea drinks to go! Limited selection vs tasting table, but a good variety of different tea types. There is no food. Note this is a marked difference from the tasting room/mini restaurant that existed here pre-covid, and is described by many older reviews.

I received a gift card for this little shop that sells loose leaf tea and tea based beverages like…read morelattes, smoothies and hot or iced infusions. Since the place is located in the Sun Life office building, it is very convenient if you work in or around the area but otherwise you'll never know it exists. The shop may be similar to other competitors like Teavana or David's Tea, but it is less "flashy". The flavors seem a little more tame and there is fewer merchandise sold as well. You can still find some mugs and thermos if you really need them but the selection is limited. This is the kind of shop you come to if you're serious about tea and want to purchase to go, or perhaps just want a cup on the spot. You won't find the colorful or frivolous accessories like at larger chains. I also didn't see any nice gift sets or pre-packaged tea boxes, therefore I don't think it would be an ideal place to shop for a gift. I've tried two of their regular herbal infusions- both were recommended by the staff as I wanted something light and fruity. The service is friendly, employees are knowledgeable about their products and they let you sample or sniff the teas to help you make a choice. However as I am not really a tea drinker, I honestly didn't know if anything else should be added to my cup - I saw a bunch of pump bottles with syrup and flavorings but these were hidden behind the counter. It would have been nice if the staff offered something additional as the choices can be overwhelming when you don't know the products. Note this place also sells some cold refrigerated beverages like juices/sparkling waters and small snacks (protein bars, mini cakes, cookies). Decent selection of products- plenty of teas to choose from, but not the best store to attract and retain non-tea enthusiasts as the overall vibe wasn't "fun" enough for me compared to larger chains. This action aerates the tea giving that smooth foamy texture. The combination of strong black tea with a balanced mix of aromatic Chai spices along with frothy whole milk was smooth, smooth, smooth! Definitely a kick in the pants that I needed early afternoon. The service was thoughtful and informative as well. There's another version of this tea with saffron that I'll try before I leave Montreal on this trip.

The cookie was really thick and felt heavy in my hands, lol. It was rich and buttery and oh so decadent. They had lots of varieties of cookies and several with Middle Eastern influences, like Kunafe and Baklava cookies. I heard they had an Um Ali cookie too, but this wasn't available when I went.
