Different store but same chain and owner. Son took car to get car washed on 6/26/24. Car wash tore off driver side mirror so he filled out a claim form. Talked to manager who said all she could do was send the form to corporate and she couldn't do anything more than that. She couldn't provide a working number and the form said to talk to the store manager...... Was able to track down the corporate info and left about a dozen messages to try to get someone to address the claim over the past 3 months. No callbacks and would always go to voicemail. Good gas prices. Gas can be found in surrounding cities from $5.50 to $6.50 and this gas station is priced right in the middle. Huge market with drinks and snacks lotto - everything you would imagine a gas station convenience store to have. $5.99 for gas is a fair price these days. I know some stations price it a dollar or more than that if its in a convenient location or near a highway or rental car return spot. Some stars given for that and how clean and new the place is. Well stocked convenience store. Everything you could expect. The only unusual thing is the unusual number of cameras in the ceiling. It looks like what I would expect the new Amazon stores to look like where you don't have to check out and all items you take are automatically billed to you. All these cameras in a new store - I think its to be expected. I have lots of sympathy for brick store owners these days. The automatic car wash at this location only sprayed my car with water (no suds whatsoever) instead of the usual "foam bath" and then proceeded to activate the scrubbing brushes and do the final water rinses. Full disclosure that I did get the cheapest Express Wash, but I have gotten this specific wash at this location several times in the past and it is NOT normal to have no foam sprayed onto my car. Activation of the wash brushes without the lubrication from the foam can AND WILL cause damage to the paintwork of a car. Upon reporting this issue to the store staff, the staffer (Henry?) was dismissive and told me that this was "normal" and that I should not expect better for a $9 wash. Although there is a Chevron directly, diagonally across the street which offers the same exact prices-we choose to come to this gas station simply for the great, consistent customer we receive from the older gentleman every time we visit. Also, it might be me...but I feel like sometimes Chevron gets a-hole customers that get all cranky when they have to wait for a pump and or can really fit and have to go around for an open pump. She'll is definitely much more roomier and has easier in and out access from Alvarado-Niles and Decoto. Huge, huge plus with this location is that they have a car wash located in the rear of the gas station. Like other stations, there have multiple options for the car wash of your desire. I have no comment on the store itself but I have something to say about the guy on duty today @1am who is stationed at the cashier. He was SOOOOO RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL. A homeless guy was outside the store, I gave him a dollar and followed me inside to ask if I could also buy him chips to eat. I was about to pay for his chips when the guy at the counter rudely said something to me, which I didn't understand at first and arrogantly repeating what he is trying to say in a raising voice "Soliciting is not allowed in the store". First off, I AM NOT THE ONE SOLICITING and I DIDN'T KNOW THAT TRYING TO BE NICE TO A HOMELESS GUY WHO'S HUNGRY IS NOT ALLOWED IN YOUR STORE. I respect your policies and I don't have problems following it. There is no reason for your staff to raise their voice at your customers. SO RUDE! Actually, no stars. What kind of crap bs is this? All the loops that I go to advertise open 24 hours and you could walk in and buy anything you want use the restrooms in addition to getting gas. But this station closes and locks their doors so you can't go in to buy anything and you can't use the restrooms and you're expected to do business through a teller window. If I want to do business through a teller I'll go to a freakin bank. This is not the kind of customer service that I have come accustomed to liking and expecting with loop. This place is way over priced. The only way to get the cheaper price for gas is to have a loop card. Even the fuel rewards doesn't warrant cash price. There is no such thing as cash price if you pay with your debit. It's best to go to the Shell station down the street as it's way cheaper than this station. Feels great to be in the loop!!! Lol This is a great and convenient place for someone on the go and looking to get their car washed. I am a huge fan of car washes because I love how I can drive my dirty car through a tunnel and having it come out clean. What a great invention right? MIND BLOWN. I don't really go inside the stores at the gas stations that I go to, but I went inside this one and had a very pleasant visit. I went in for a coffee and the cashier (I think her name was Merly) asked me if I had been there before. I said no, and she offered me a loop, which is basically a card to save money on gas, car washes, etc. I had not gone back in like a month, and just this week I remembered I had the loop card. I decided to go in for a car wash. Fun fact: this was my first time in a car wash believe it or not.... therefore I was very confused on how it worked or where to go. Once again, my wife's car was left covered in soap (strangely, the head attendant didn't go to the control panel this time- she really just addressed the situation by asking my wife some questions). I tried not to act live a diva, but it was hard. I badly wanted to whip my hair around and claw someone's eyes out. My wife used a squeegee to clean the soap off her car. Still, it ended up looking worse than it did when we came in! At one point, the head attendant approached the car with a green plastic watering can! It was hilarious. (There are some bushes by the car wash.) The head attendant muttered something. I don't think a refund would have been issued had she been allowed to water the car with the watering can. In any case, she at least made an effort to help. (She and the cashier were professional, but no one really said that they were sorry.) I'm glad that my son Joshua behaved himself the whole time (he just needed to be fed here and there). This made the ordeal a little more bearable. It's possible that my wife having the air conditioner on played a role (it was a bit hot outside). Her car, however, was turned off when it needed to be. Maybe the car wash is too damn sensitive. What's really strange is that we never had any issues in the past (my wife thinks that the car wash briefly stopped working for another customer too). It's nice that a lot of items are carried, but there's almost no room to move around in the snack shop (a few guys got in my way and vice versa). The cashier who was inside the snack shop the whole time was competent, but not very friendly. We finally got the fuck out of dodge (we were roughly here from 12-1). The only question is whether what happened was a fluke, or if my wife needs to find another place to get her car washed now. You better watch out for the flow of traffic in this area. It's hard to escape from this gas station. Cars will cut you off especially if the lights turned green. On the other side, the bus will block you as well. Sometimes, cops are hanging around the corner. So, you really need to be in your best behavior. The car wash is not rinsing properly. You have to drive forward to rinse then forward again to dry. I went and paid twice because the wash kept drying my car with still soap on it. Two times my car got washed, soaped and dried but not rinsed properly. The amount of soap on my windshield while drying was too much you'd think it never got rinsed at all and it happened twice in a row.
