This has been a very confusing and disappointing experience with Dr. McKanna's office…read more I went to him with severe plantar fasciitis and inflammation in my heel that made it almost impossible to walk. After several discouraging visits with other doctors, I had nearly given up on finding real help. My daughter encouraged me to try again, and we found Dr. McKanna. At first, I was genuinely impressed. He seemed caring, knowledgeable, and truly interested in solving the problem rather than just treating symptoms. The steroid injection he gave was painful but effective, and I appreciated that he connected possible back issues to my foot pain and ordered an MRI. For the first time, I felt hopeful that I had found a doctor who cared. Unfortunately, that hope quickly faded. I scheduled a Saturday appointment to go over my MRI results, confirmed the time, and drove over an hour to his office--only to find it closed. When I called, the staff told me Dr. McKanna was at his other office that day. As a new patient, I had never been told he had more than one location. I offered to drive to the other office, but was told he was busy and leaving early. They said he would call me at 1:00 p.m. He called at 1:30, but I missed the call due to poor signal. I immediately called back and left a message asking for a return call. I never heard back. I followed up again on Monday, calling multiple times to ask for my MRI results--still no response. At this point, I'm left with an unread MRI disc and no guidance from the doctor or his staff. It's very frustrating to go from feeling hopeful to feeling completely ignored. I want to believe this isn't a reflection of Dr. McKanna himself--he seemed like a good, caring doctor--but the communication and follow-up from his office have been deeply disappointing. If you go to Dr. McKanna, make sure to confirm which office your appointment is at and be prepared for possible issues with communication. I sincerely hope he sees this review and takes steps to improve how patients are treated and followed up with.

Each member of the team possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience which gives them the tools to create the best exercise program tailored to your individual needs. Better yet is how they shared that knowledge with me so I could understand what I needed to do in order to recover from the full knee replacement in my left leg. And when I got discouraged by the slow pace of my recovery, my ATI team, especially Shaun, Jimmy and J.T. were supportive and encouraging. So not only do you get the specific, physical program, you also get cheerleaders who help you realize that you can do it and also motivate you to work hard. I am impressed by the smoothness of their teamwork. Although you may have a particular therapist who is assigned on a specific day, the truth is that every single team member steps in with immediate assistance if you need feedback or direction. And I never felt rushed or under any time limits. Each therapist was attentive and took the time I needed for each session If you are considering physical therapy, this team has my enthusiastic endorsement. They helped me and they will help you, too.

I don't usually write reviews for just "anything" but will when I find a place or experience which…read moreeither excels or underwhelms in my expectation. With the ATI facility in Addison IL, I don't even know where to start. My first visit, not knowing what to expect or what to do, being greeted by such happy, smiling and helpful people, made this part very relaxed, easy and comforting. From there, working with primarily the therapists Brian C. and Prachi P., I have to say that they are simply incredible (not to mention the additional support staff)! I've been coming here now for almost three months (3 times a week) and every single time I walk into the office, I'm greeted with a smile, caring request for how I'm feeling and a genuine feeling they really do care about me and my well being... An absolute requirement with working with what are really, perfect strangers, right out of the gate. Being a younger staff, I had some concern about their level of experience and ability to really understand my condition and what was going to be necessary to rehabilitate my unique condition. Not only did they take the time to (really) listen to my experience and history, they followed up with additional questions with me so they had a very thorough understanding and then, they also have been in contact with my surgeon to ensure all of the bases had been covered... Their training, experiences and knowledge became quite obvious almost immediately and quickly eliminated any concerns I had with their ability to treat me. This is extremely important for whomever is going to be working on you to completely understand every aspect of what the problem is and what would need to be done in order to not only reach my goals but far exceed them (which to this point, they have completely done). To say they have FAR exceeded my expectations is an understatement! As for the office and equipment, the entire facility is clean and orderly and you can tell that everyone within this office takes pride in keeping it this way. There is every conceivable piece of equipment necessary to treat any sort of ailment you may have and even when they are busy, equipment is always cleaned and put back in its proper place. No one has the fear of tripping over anything or looking to see where the 'thing' is they may need for their next exercise or that laying down on a massage table wasn't first thoroughly cleaned prior to you laying down onto it. To sum up... There is all the equipment you will need, is organized and clean, the office is extremely tidy, welcoming and even has music to help keep your spirits up and most importantly, Brian and Pratchi are the most knowledgeable, caring and invested therapists anyone could ever want in a physical therapy center and the entire staff will have you feeling like you're visiting an extended family (and not just someone who is there to do their 9-5 job). I couldn't rave more about this facility or its staff so please, do yourself a favor, if you are looking for a therapist and center, don't hesitate to make a stop in, check them out and talk with either Brian or Prachi, you will NOT be disappointed!!

I don't recall exactly anymore but she wasn't an MD but had some type of functional medicine training certificate. I spent a few hundred bucks with consultations, supplements, and a stool test that didn't lead anywhere or improve my condition. She was unsuccessful in identifying the root cause nor even knew about my condition. Dr. Koz was so busy I never even had the opportunity for a one on one to ask questions, etc. Overall it wasn't a good experience and I had to move on.
