Seriously, I'm drowning in foster kittens over here and every single one is weaning or still young enough that they aren't eating kibble yet. So I'm going thru a LOT of canned kitten food. I typically shop at Meijer for my cat food and litter. But they don't always have much of my preferred kitten food in stock, if at all. I won a $10 Petsmart gift card from Indy Humane recently, and decided it was the perfect time to put it to use. We noticed as we walked in that they had an adoption event going on. Several dogs in cages lined the front of the store, as we were greeted by a Petsmart employee. We didn't make it more than a couple aisles in to the store before another employee asked if we needed any help finding anything. I discovered a brand of canned kitten food that Indy Humane had given us a lot of lately. While Indy Humane does supply us with food for our fosters, they are at the mercy of donations and sometimes what we receive is a mixture of different brands. That can cause upset tummies for our kittens and I rather avoid that smelly aftermath. So I do buy a lot of the canned food myself, and only take from them what I know will agree with my fosters. I noticed that Petsmart carried a brand that has worked well with my foster kittens, at a reasonable price. Even better, they offer a discount when you buy X-amount of cans. The number seems to vary with each brand. Since I'm going thru a lot lately, I grabbed 24 large cans. Our total came to $23 and some change, after taxes. Check out was pretty quick and our cashier was also friendly. The store appeared clean and nicely lit. So I have to say that partnered with the great price, we had a great experience!

After multiple visits, not once have they managed to follow simple instructions for a haircut. On my most recent (and final) visit, I dropped my dogs off and, astonishingly, they were kept for over eight hours with no communication other than a midday text asking about the cut--again. When I tried to call, I discovered the business was apparently closed, despite my dogs still being held hostage. When I finally retrieved them, not only were they still not ready, but one was bleeding from a botched shave under her neck--cut so close to the skin it was borderline negligent. I was informed both dogs had five fleas each, which is impressive given their clean bill of health from the vet the day before. Apparently, my dogs received a flea bath--this was never communicated, of course. The owner's daughter excused the disaster by saying they'd "had a rough day." That's nothing compared to what my dogs endured. My female's head looked like it had lost a battle with a weed whacker, and her body was bald. As for the dye job I requested? The color on my male dog had faded before we even reached home. When I texted to complain, suddenly they decided the dogs "weren't good candidates for dye because of fleas." If that's the case, why proceed and why not let me know? Basic communication is clearly a foreign concept here. To call this business unprofessional would be a compliment. The customer service is abysmal, the communication nonexistent, and the grooming skills laughable. If you care at all about your pets, steer clear. I wouldn't recommend this place to the walking dead. The staff here clearly dislike their jobs and, from what I witnessed, shouldn't be allowed near any animal, let alone entrusted with people's money. This is a masterclass in how not to run a business.

He goes on to say that I need to go home and plant my grass seed, we can worry about weeds in the spring. Time is running out. So I did. Honesty goes a long way. THEY SHAVED MY POMERANIAN TO THE SKIN AND IT WON'T GROW BACK!!…read more I had previously taken my Pomeranian to the Brownsburg location for grooming and never had any issues. They meticulously kept notes on the length of all haircuts. I had to book a grooming session at their Danville location because Brownsburg was booked. They pulled up all of his grooming notes from previous haircuts at Brownsburg and we had agreed that there was no matting and to do a trim that wouldn't be shorter than a few inches. After 4 hours, I received a call from the groomers in Danville saying they were still working on him. They mentioned that there was a little bit of matting on his belly so they'd have to cut that area a little shorter. Other than that, they said his haircut was coming along good. Upon arrival, the groomers brought out my dog that had been COMPLETELY SHAVED DOWN TO THE SKIN across his ENTIRE body. They handed him over smiling saying how good he looked. I was in such shock and did everything not to cry. They offered to bring out the groomer, but I was already running late to catch my flight so I declined. I later sent them a message expressing my disgust with their service. Never received any response from them and have yet to hear back from them. ANYONE who is a basic groomer knows that there are certain breeds whose hair you NEVER shave. This includes Pomeranians. In the past, his hair has gotten pretty matted after swimming in the pool all summer. I've ALWAYS had groomers call me explaining why they wanted to shave down his hair and ALWAYS had to sign an agreement giving them consent to do so. Even at his worst matting phase, they NEVER EVER thought it was ok to shave his hair down straight to the skin. This haircut was back in July. It has now been 5 months and there are major patches on my dog where the hair has not grown back at all. His entire coat is permanently damaged and will never grow back the same. We have tried coconut oil, medication, cbd, etc. Nothing seems to grow it back. To top it off, when he was shaved down to his skin, it was in the middle of July so he suffered from very bad sunburns as his skin was fully exposed for months. Friends and family have recommended I take legal action since his coat has been destroyed and they have refused to respond or make any effort to correct their poor decisions. I wanted to wait a few months to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe the shaving wouldn't be so damaging. But seeing that his coat is so damaged and still not growing back in massive chunks, I felt it was time to share how terrible of a job they did.
