First off can not understand any negative reviews. I had SUPERIOR service from the ladies in the showroom, to Lori coming to my home to measure and explain the product , to the installation. Working with Lori Jills Designs may have been one of the worst experiences with a business that I have ever had. Here are a few highlights: - During this initial installation I was asked by the serviceman several times to help him with the shade to put it in the tracks. I didn't realize that I was part of the labor. I had my two year old daughter at home and I did my best to keeping her occupied while helping the serviceman. What would have happened if I couldn't help him? - The blinds broke and ripped within 24 hours of being installed. - It took several days for a serviceman to come look at the issue; I guess blinds breaking upon installation do not require immediate action or attention. When the serviceman did come he showed up 5 hours late. I attempted to call Lori Jills Designs throughout these 5 hours to find out where the serviceman was and if they would still even be coming. No response and no answer. I ended up changing my plans so I could stay home as I kept thinking, "well it can't be that much longer." When the serviceman did show up, he really didn't seem too bothered by any of it. - The serviceman starts by saying, "ugh I hate when I have to fix other people's poor work" - talk about a way to act professional while burying your employer and fellow employees. He said we needed the blind replaced. But when? Did I hear back from Lori Jill Designs apologizing for the inconvenience (of both the serviceman showing up so late and for the blinds ripping)? I did not. - When I asked if a serviceman showing up that late was acceptable, Lori Jill Designs took zero accountability and put it all on the serviceman. A company represents its employees and should take responsibility. - I received spotty communication at best and the only time there was a follow up was when I reached out. One of the first times I called Lori Jill Designs I left a message asking for them to call me back. They did not call me back. When I called back again after a week they decided it was appropriate enough to text my wife as a professional form of communication. Most of the communication was made via text. - Oddly enough, I actually received a text message that was not meant for me at one point. After asking if that was for me I received, "No I'm sorry, pls forgive". I expect a company to either call or email in a professional manner. - Given the problems already, wouldn't a professional company do it's best to make sure the situation is rectified? - So the replacements shade finally come in and get installed. Lori Jill Designs asks for the remainder of the payment (not once offering any type of compensation for the inconvenience and lack of professionalism), which we obliged. Afterwards, before the serviceman left, he told us that work still needed to be done and he had to come back. So we were asked to pay for a service that wasn't finished, after waiting for a lengthy period of time, all after the original blinds originally ripping in the initial installation. - Sadly after speaking to the serviceman, he knew that another part of the job needed to be completed at another time, however the woman still required payment. In addition, the serviceman needed to come back anyways as the setting on the remote control were not working properly. - After reviewing all of the issues we experienced, it was only then that Lori Jill Designs reluctantly offered a $100 credit on a future service. If we did not voice our displeasure they would have not offered anything (even a phone call apologizing would have been nice) and after all of this would we really want to use this company for anything ever again? And given the cost of their blinds, a $100 credit is barely a dent in a bill. Given how things continued to get worse instead of getting better and rectified, how would you feel? After constantly voicing my displeasure with the level of service, professionalism, and communication, I finally received an email from the owner who said at that point I wouldn't be happy with anything that would be offered given my constant complaints. Interesting response to say the least. Well, if there wasn't so much to get disappointed in then I wouldn't have to write a review such as this. Ironically enough, like I eluded to previously, if I simply received better communication and even an apology here and there along the way, I would not have had such a bitter experience and most likely wouldn't even feel the need to write this review. read more

Overpriced, poor customer service and It took them three times to get it right.

I'm sorry to report that my second experience with Lori Jill Designs did not match the splendid first time I hired them. A staffer had difficulties making an appointment, claiming I live too far. Then made the appointment and called the next day to cancel it, saying the proprietor would be out of town. Promised, after a bit of attitude, to call back "tomorrow." Nearly one month later I got a call back. I had time to get two other quotes and hire a vendor. 3 stars as Jeff was excellent the first time around. You could give a try, but don't count on an organized or pleasant experience with the scheduler. read more

Lori Jill Designs is a small family owned business that specializes in custom window treatments. Their top priority is customer service. I have done business with them numerous times and have always received professional and reliable service. Even when one of my shades did not operate properly they made sure it was corrected to my satisfaction. I have also ordered custom cornices and draperies from them. We are very happy with the experience we had with Lori Jill Designs. We are new to the area ( from NY). We were recommended by many of our neighbors in the Valencia Cove development so we thought we would try them. I wanted to write because of all of the vendors we have used in our new home this company was the best as far as every catagory! The owner Jeff was very impressive. He is very knowledgeable about what the right treatments were for our model. The pricing was good and he was true to his word about the delivery time.
