Nothing but good things to say about the folks at Guardian Storm Protection. I posted on Nextdoor asking for recommendations for hurricane shutters, the accordion style. I received lots of suggestions, but several people all said Guardian. I contacted them and they sent someone out immediately. The tech arrived and examined my windows. He showed me options and even had a working model on hand I could text out and review. He provided documentation for me to peruse as well. I asked for a quote and he gave me one on the spot. It was HIGHLY competitive with the rates I had been quoted by others so I didn't really need to hear anymore and decided to go with them. I had even considered not doing two of the smaller windows, but the quote was so reasonable I had them do all the openings. I reviewed some paperwork. He drew a map showcasing where each window was and the three large sliding glass doors. He explained they would handle everything with the permitting and the HOA. I have a difficult to reach HOA liaison, but they even helped with that, sending multiple emails and phone calls. The process really couldn't have been easier. We had a date scheduled for install immediately. They filed their paperwork with the city right away. Got the HOA locked in. And then just waited for the install date. Install was quick and painless (for me, not for the hard working installer). Shutters were put up. Inspector came a few days later and reviewed everything and signed off. Honestly, it was a breeze from the customer side. Really happy I went with them and looking forward to the first hurricane season in years where I don't have to spend a day putting up shutters! This is probably one of the best companies I have ever worked with here in South Florida. From the beginning with the sales rep, the customer service and installation, the service was beyond. Amazing! This is a company that if you could give 10 stars I would. What makes this company stand out more than any other is that they do not take a deposit or get paid until the job is 100% completed and inspected. This company also offers a product that from the street you can barely see it as it stacks quite thin as you'll see in a picture that I am going to post. Guardian offered the best rate out of the three estimates we received, and the quality of their product along with the customer service was beyond our expectations. The proposal was sent to me in a timely manner outlining all details of the product, including materials, dimensions and warranties. The guys who installed were professional and informative and showed up on time for the installation appointment and also, giving me hands on instructions for proper operation and maintenance. I called for a question about the shutters being stuck from corrosion. I told them what was wrong and asked if there was a way that they could recommend some lubricant I could use to fix it Their answer was $150 will come out look at it and tell you what to do. It was just a question. read more

my problem is their advertising, their ad says 50% off labor is just a way of attracting you to get an estimate. I found that ad false, also the top local companies in the area charge the same prices. I got 3 estimates, my third estimate was from the Miami area. the contractor came in $3000 cheaper & inc the permit. work was done satisfactory. so, it pays to shop around. read more

what company comes in does all the work and THEN sends the bill after making sure the customer is satisfied??? Just this one. Guardian gave a very fair price and provided a window of 16-20 weeks wait time. it ended up being slightly longer but i had plenty of wait time before season. the installers were great, very pleasant, experienced and did a really good job. read more

Exceptional service and execution from initial estimate to installation.

Guardian Storm Protection finally asked for payment some three weeks after the accordion shutters were professionally installed. I believe that their product is superior to all of the other contractors samples that were demonstrated at our home. Guardian took care to efficiently satisfy our homeowners association requirements and paper work.
