Showing sincere interest in knowing what I saw for my hair, unlike other hair stylists that may do what they want or think is best. He gave great input too and recommended a blunt cut for my fine hair, which turned out wonderfully by the way! When it came to styling time, I asked him to surprise me. I was intrigued by his blow-dry technique with the round brush, it added a nice curl to my hair, and I've never seen it done like that before. When he had me open my eyes for the final reveal, I felt like a contestant on a makeover show haha. My hair looked like it was straight out of a shampoo/conditioner commercial -- so light feeling and shiny. I would recommend going to Alex not only for his artistic hair skills but also because there was no the awkward conversation during the haircut which I usually dread, with Alex, it felt like I was talking to an old friend and the time went by so fast! It's apparent that he loves what he does and he takes pride in his work. I plan on revisiting him in a few months for a trim, which I know my hair will be happy about since I wouldn't usually go back so soon.
