I've had chronic musculoskeletal issues due to several injuries during my lifetime. I've always struggled with pain. Been to physical therapy several times and I know all the stretches and exercises. Don is an established professional who was trained by the best. Don brought back my hair back to beautiful after another salon damaged and hacked off my hair to a jagged & burned uneven mess. Not only did Lisa completely fix my green hair debacle (former stylist mess up) but she saved me from my self sabotaged hair cut. Went to Lisa today and had the best massage of my life. She has an extensive background in massage and you can tell when getting massaged. I have sever neck and shoulder pain. When making my appointment we went over my options and she suggested the therapeutic massage. She is an old school massage therapist not like these places that hire almost anyone off the streets. She new pressure points and moved my neck and shoulder around to get in deep. You could tell she new what she was doing. Her studio is very relaxing and warm. Lisa is a perfessional and a lot of fun. I started working with Lisa in the 90s when I was in law school, and I worked with her after an auto accident, and I continue working with her now that I'm a lawyer and business owner. So, I have had scores of massages at Meltdown over the past 12-14 years and Lisa is phenomenal. She knows your body, she can work out all the stress and strain knots and she'll even add a little aromatherapy as appropriate. There are times when I'll will have to go to the chain massage place out of convenience or when I don't have the time to make the drive from my home, but I always regret it. Lisa was very friendly and relaxed. This put me at ease which allowed me to relax as well. Getting a massage from someone for the first time can sometimes be a little tense, but not at all with her. I saw Lisa tonight in hopes that she could help me care for a running injury. She exceeded all of my expectations! First of all, she was able to fit me in last minute and was more than accommodating. Second of all--and most importantly--her massage was incredible. I have some serious trouble spots on my back, plus soreness, tightness and some pain from regular running, and the massage was able to loosen up all of my tight and sore muscles. She also gave me a ton of good advice for stretching and yoga poses that I could do to help with additional healing. The bonus is that she is so friendly and outgoing and put me right at ease (there's nothing that ups the discomfort factor like getting naked for someone you've never met before). Lisa is awesome.
