Oh my god! Sat here for 6 hours! Asked for a balayage with dark roots.. got a bleach wash and my hair chopped off in random places. When we stepped outside to assess the color issue (noticed by the stylist) she told me what do you want to do? I said I didn't want to leave like this and she said we are wasting our time and have kids that are going to get bored and hungry (after bringing her daughter to work and having her daughters friend dropped off!) immediately when she knew she would have to spend a good amount of time fixing the mess she made she said you can leave and I won't charge you and you can find someone to fix it. That's not a win for me as I am still left with this disaster and now have to find the time and place I can "trust" to fix my hair! I AM IN ABSOLUTE SHOCK!!! 6 hours later and THIS!!! Andrew colored my hair last week with the new Redkin Chocolate series color. I saw a picture of it online and luckily he had it in stock! It's very shiny and it hasn't faded even after washing it a few times. I have very long dark hair, almost to my waist. I was hesitant to cut it as I've experienced bad haircuts that were too short or choppy at other salons in the past but I needed a trim badly. He was very nice and patient with me. I called for a cut and color and someone from 916-601-3950 returned my call and apologized for not answering my voice mail earlier in the day. Okay, not a problem. However, she then went on to say that she was unavailable but perhaps one of the other ladies were. She told me she would reach out to them and get right back to me. Village Salon is a beautifully decorated, clean and friendly place in the heart of Old Fair Oaks Village. Rebekah worked her magic on my hair about a week ago, (see uploaded picture), with a Brazilian Blowout and Highlights. It was my first appointment at the Salon, and she spent almost 30 minutes listening to what I was hoping to do with my hair, and talking over the various options. She clearly explained the Brazilian Blowout is formaldehyde-free, and would actually truly make my hair healthier and of course smoother. She took her time during the process, and didn't cut any corners. It took a little longer, but was of course worth it when she was done, because my hair was tranformed, and was exactly what I was hoping for! Then came what I call the "true test"... After I got home, I washed and styled my hair the next day. -Usually this is the point at which things start to unravel, as in the past my hair would look vastly different after a wash and style at home than it did when I left the salon. But this time it was different! My styling time was more than cut in half, and even after washing and styling at home my hair looked like it did when I walked out the salon door! Brittany is an angel! I had to evacuate from the recent Sonoma County fires and found that my house burned down. I was staying with my parents in Carmichael with no hair dryer, etc and was feeling bedraggled and worn. Brittany gave me the most beautiful blow out with soft curls and for the first time, I felt a little more myself. She is also very chill so you can chat if you're in the mood or just close your eyes and relax.
