No one likes wasted time, and appointments should be honored. Personally, I have not experienced delayed appointments. What has changed is that appointments are harder to get, and that is worth asking why. Some reviewers were upset about receiving results over the phone. I actually prefer that. Preferences differ, and that matters. Could bedside manner improve? Yes. I agree with that criticism, and I won't defend it. There is room for improvement. After the tests, they said I needed to go in person to talk about my results, even though I asked if that's even necessary and I'd prefer to be sent my results. When I go in for my results, I sit in the patient room for like 45 minutes. When I walked in, there was maybe one other person, not sure who else in the back. So it didn't seem busy. He finally comes to talk to me for like 10 minutes and the things mentioned are things I could've seen off the results of the tests. They charged my insurance for a "long" visit. $160. Apparently, it's based on when I walk in, even if they take forever to see me. I called about the $200 in claims and say I didn't want to go in the office, if I didn't have to, and I asked for what's covered. They didn't budge on the charges. I called my insurance and they called the office directly. Luckily, the insurance representative got some of it waived. Summary... I go in for an insurance covered physical. They end up charging me over $200 in claims.

I had to go back a few days later and receive paper copy, which I then had to scan to provide to my primary care Dr. All in all, if I get illin' like that again, I'd go back here for care.

I asked her if she would actually give Dr. Lee the message to call me on a personal matter or would the message be thrown in the trash. And she responded the message was going to be thrown in the trash. Upon hearing that I was shocked and then she started to gas light me by saying I was being rude and she would not stand for this. The funniest thing then happened, a patient who was waiting to be seen said he was a patient for over 25 years and agreed that the service was horrible, but he had no other option. The office manager was not empathetic to my concern and is the final reason for my departure. She does not care for the practice and will be the reason for other patients to leave. I understand why the assistants act like they do because their office manager leads by example. It is a shame my relationship has to end this way with Potomac Family Practice. She volunteered that she currently takes Hydroxychloroquine (which she says is proven to work against COVID-19 in studies) and that she would prescribe it to my daughter once she gets COVID-19. Dr. Fletcher told me that 70 percent of us will get COVID-19 and that it would be better to get it over the summer, even for me, an asthmatic. She also gave my daughter a sheet of recommended vitamins, herbs, and supplements to take which include elderberry among other things. Dr. Fletcher's approach and advice is in direct contrast to that of the CDC. And I believe she is a danger to the public in advising people to actively get a disease that spreads so easily and has killed so many. I personally thought she was a f***ing kook and I told her so.

About two hours before that appointment, I received a call saying the doctor was not feeling well and my appointment had to be canceled. I understand that doctors can get sick and unexpected cancellations happen. I rescheduled, but the next available appointment was not until late August. Then, the day before that appointment, I received another call saying that Dr. Ainsley Lundgren would again be unable to conduct the appointment. At this point, I had been waiting nearly three months and had two appointments canceled by the clinic. What is especially frustrating is that after the first cancellation, there did not seem to be any priority given to rescheduling a patient whose appointment the clinic itself had canceled. Unexpected circumstances happen, but canceling two appointments after making a new patient wait this long is not a reasonable or reliable way to provide care. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic to someone looking for dependable access to a provider.

Instead, they took advantage of my vulnerability and pain to quietly route me into an overpriced visit without my informed consent. When I reached out to billing and customer support to explain the lack of disclosure, they refused to help or take accountability. It is heartbreaking and deeply infuriating to realize that a healthcare provider you trusted for years views its patients as an ATM rather than people needing care. Beware of their deceptive scheduling tactics. They do not care about your well-being--only what they can extract from your wallet when you are at your most vulnerable. I tagged along to my friend's first appointment thinking I might go there myself, but knew immediately to steer clear based on the 8 foot ad for hormone replacement therapy in the waiting room (see pic). Endorsed with a photo of Coleman, herself, it essentially promises to take twenty years off your body. All of its statements are outlandish. It's scary that a physician would push expensive drugs with very serious potential side effects to this degree. Hormone replacement therapy is something a lot of women struggle with, and the risks are very real, and include strokes and cancer. Sometimes HRT is absolutely the best way to go, but it should only be used if medically (or mentally) necessary. In the actual exam rooms, Coleman has more ads--videos for the latest name-brand (and expensive) drugs. At the end, they all say, "Ask your doctor if you might be right for X drug." Advertising drugs directly to patients in your office by video when you haven't even seen the patient yet is a horror I've never seen anywhere else. A physician should not be under the thumb of pharmaceutical companies. It only results in inaccurate--and expensive!--prescribing. If you want a doctor who prescribes based on symptoms and what drug will most effectively and inexpensively solve the problem, do not go to Coleman.

I always feel like I'm in a cattle line being herded to the next location, but not with Dr. Coleman. I made my appointment and went in to see her. Her office's appearance was clean and organized which is always a plus when dealing with the medical profession. I was seen within about 5 minutes of my arrival. I had my vitals checked then was immediately placed in a waiting room where I waited for Dr. Coleman for about 2 minutes. Talk about FAST Service. Her bedside manner is impeccable and she knows her stuff. Once I began discussing my issue she made me feel like she REALLY cared and was REALLY listening. She's very down to Earth and knowledgeable. I have lived in this area for 35+ years and am so sorry that I had not been to her before but I promise she will be my GP until she retires or I die. Whichever comes first. If you are looking for a competent physician that doesn't just care about the bottom line but actually has a genuine interest in your overall health. Dr. Linda Coleman CAN'T BE BEAT!!!!! Wish I could give 100 stars!!! Well worth it.
