Within a day we began to realize the "founder" that I spoke to was not being honest. There is no clear policy on phone use, it's very subjective. If a patient advocates for their care it puts a target on their back. I spoke to his therapist and at a later date she proceeded to twist what I had said to her when my ex and I confronted them about his being denied his phone on several occasions, despite other patients being allowed to use it daily. I had to let her boss know she was being disingenuous. I thought the issue was resolved, but the next day they called him into the office, accused him of petty vandalism (their own cameras will prove it wasn't him) and used this fake incident to get him to leave. He does not have the appropriate continuum of care now and they tried to paint the situation as him checking out against medical advice. Be careful if you enter yourself into the program. Know you only be guaranteed 30 minutes a week to speak to your family in a room crowded with patients and staff. If your therapist likes you you can get more time. If you advocate for your own needs you will be denied. There are people who have had successful treatment, so it seems to really depend on what doctors and therapist you are assigned to. My experience with dealing with them as a family member was a very traumatizing experience and I cannot recommend this place in good conscience. Please be careful if you are being told to place your loved one here. I regret doing so. Now I have to find a new provider for his care. Shameful how they treated a firefighter who was seeking help. Imagine working a job where you see dead kids all the time and being told he needs to leave.
