She took a lot of time to listen to the history of my condition, what tests had been done so far, and what various doctors have found (or not). Everyone on staff are extremely friendly, and seem completely dedicated and committed to a good patient experience. The wait time before the appointment is minimal, and usually only a few minutes, if that. They are busy, but extremely efficient, and I've never felt like I have been lost or forgotten about in the shuffle. They even remember specific unique needs that each patient has to be as comfortable as they can during their session. I have a very complicated issue that still has no specific diagnosis. I know that makes any physical therapist's job significantly more difficult. However, Hali is clearly committed to helping me, and always offers excellent advice and recommendations for following up on my medical issue with the various doctors I've been seeing. She has never given up on me, even though I know some doctors have. I have noticed she provides the same exceptional level of care to other patients in the room too. From my observations, everyone in the office who interacts directly with the patients are patient, caring, focused committed to helping their patients get better. I am extremely impressed with Pivot Physical Therapy in Mount Airy, MD, and I highly recommend them if you need them!

This is a story of why Health Insurance is so expensive. I was looking for Physical Therapy and…read morecomparing places. I may have to pay for my own visits because I have a high deductible. I called Rehab 2 Perform new and different then an institutional PT location. And they told me that a visit is $50 and that they will also submit a claim to Carefirst to see what they would cover. $50 seemed reasonable for a 40 minute exercise session. I begin treatment. 6 weeks later I get a statement of charges from Carefirst. The charges were well over $300 for each session. Carefirst has an allowable amount yet it didn't cover the full $300 for each visit. Rehab 2 Perform sends me a bill for the difference which would make each session cost well over $50. How is someone supposed to plan and choose where to go if you get lied to. I am sure they will say call my insurance company but the fact is they never said a visit is $300-$400. A personal trainer is $30-$75/ hour. This is an insurance scam. Nice concept and place but not $300-$400 for 40 minutes.

That's almost impossible at any doctor's office...and then add COVID..... I was thrilled. I took my mom, and everyone was absolutely so sweet and kind. I had a million questions and they were so patient with me. Dr. B recommended injections for my mom and explained every step of the process for her. Seriously -- nicest staff and pretty office. The nice thing is there are several offices. We've been to the Elkridge office, Mount Airy, and Germantown (based off of my work schedule and I'm the one that drives my mom everywhere).

If an appt is made be prepared for it be changed & 5 phone calls to change again! Extremely unprofessional , upon further investigation it became known that the appt. changes were due to accomodate the therapists schedules, NOT the patient. Since there are 4 other outfits in town, you would think they would try a little bit more to stick to an appt.

My experience with the first two agencies was frankly terrible, and it drove me to put in a LOT of effort and time into finding individuals I could hire directly. But when my own knee surgery resulted in a short-term need, it seemed a good opportunity to try another agency. I'm so glad that I did! Assisting Hands is now part of my long-term strategy for making this care arrangement work as long as it possibly can. A geriatric care manager -- in a position to know about many different agencies -- recommended Assisting Hands to me. From the start it has been a significantly different and better experience than working with other agencies. They are large enough to truly have their act together, yet small enough to be incredibly personable and accessible. Their caring, responsiveness, flexibility and efficiency are truly fantastic. They get the big important things right: they ask smart questions and truly listen to your answers to try to find people ideally suited to your needs; they have a large pool of truly qualified people to draw from; they work really hard to have one caregiver cover as many of your requested shifts as possible even when it's a non-standard, changeable schedule; they don't pressure you for more hours than you need, nor pass you from one administrator to another every week; they don't artificially jack up prices when they hear desperation in your voice or shame and blame you when a caregiver doesn't fit your needs. They also get the secondary details right: they are always reachable, their response time is incredible, their nurse does an intake in the least obtrusive way possible and even then only when required by Maryland state law or the tasks involved, caregivers can login via an app that utilizes GPS for an efficient time card system, they can help with longterm care insurance reimbursement, and paying invoices is a snap online. I really couldn't ask for more. They get my highest recommendation...and my continued business!
