With that original call I was immediately scheduled for at least a month, maybe two. When I arrive for my schedule appointments the front line staff checks me in quickly and notifies my therapist. Pretty soon after, my therapist comes to get me and we begin. Zach, is my therapist and I'm very grateful to have him. From the start, Zach was very personable. He makes me feel comfortable and always has a great plan of action. When I started at R2P I could barely drive my car and I definitely couldn't walk up stairs. Now, I can drive my car for hours at a time and I'm almost back to walking up stairs normally. Zach has a very good treatment plan for me. He makes me put in the work but I never over do it. At the beginning of the session I don't think I'm going to make it through but at the end I feel really good and I feel like I accomplished something. Bottom line, I would definitely recommend R2P to anyone trying to get back to regular activities or to any sport.

The Doc said it was one of the worst tears he had ever seen. The therapists were conscientious of this and approached with extreme care. I initially started out three visits per week. The PT eased me to the pain and not through it as prescribed by the Doc. Over time my motions were normalizing. The PTs kept testing my movement abilities, and again not pushing. I was "handled with care". Eventually I reduced my number of visits to 2 visits a week then every other week. I am back to normal, or at least 99%. I would like to thank Nancy for having such a great group of PTs who assisted me, Petya, Kim, Courtney, Jacob, Allison and Nancy herself. I don't recommend injuries to anyone but if you must be injured and you require rehab, Ascend comes highly recommended.

I started going to Kaizo in Rockville about seven months after suffering a pretty nasty concussion…read more TL;DR: They have done absolute wonders for my pain, range of motion, strength, and ability to handle light, sound, movement and other stimuli. In addition to a lot of upper neck pain (which was caused by the impact on the top of my head driving my head straight down into my neck), I was also still experiencing major sensory overwhelm in my day-to-day life. The first time I came to Kaizo, I showed up with sunglasses on and earplugs in. I made them work on me in a quiet room with limited noise and lights turned down. Now, I show up and do rehab exercises in the main area with other people, music, and conversation before going to get the chiro work from Dr. Moore. I usually leave feeling refreshed and, often, a bit taller. I've been to many chiropractors in my life. I think I've had chiropractic adjustments from ten different people, some of whom are absolutely stellar practitioners. Dr. Moore's neck and back adjustments are up there with the best of them. Where he really shines, however, is the soft tissue work. I keep telling him he needs to do workshops for massage therapists. He uses everything from thumbs to elbows to various tools to work the muscles and fascia in my neck and really support the adjustments to "stick." He finds the perfect amount of pressure for the various techniques he is using, and he doesn't overwork the muscles. I've had a couple of adjustments from Dr. Noel, and I love his work as well. Hard to believe (except by looking at him) that he is just recently fully licensed as a chiropractor. He has a skilled touch beyond his shorter experience in the field. As for Matt and Kyle, the primary Chiro Assistants who lead you in rehab exercises, they are great. They have continually been receptive to my feedback, working with me to find exercises that help me. If something is too hard for you or causes you pain, definitely speak up and they will adjust to find what works for you. This is not a "PT Mill" where they run you through the same routine over and over without really checking on you. The exercises are geared toward you and are adjusted as you are doing better or worse on any given day. Lastly, the app. I can't tell you how much I typically hate apps as part of a healing regimen. This one is the exception: 1) The clinic and admin staff are really responsive to questions in the messaging feature. 2) The exercises are actually good and come in a manageable regimen that also let you skip when you need to just do a couple. 3) They ask you, when all exercises for the day are either completed or skipped, "was this exercise too easy, just right, or too hard?" And guess what? If you say too easy or too hard, the next day you'll log on and find a new exercise in place of that one, but focusing on the same basic elements as the previous one, either in a more gentle or more rigorous way, depending. 4) Rescheduling appointments (or making new ones) through the app is extremely simple and very quick. That's all I'll say for the purposes of this review, but hopefully the length of the review itself and the time I invested in writing it are also testaments to the excellent quality of Kaizo Health Chiropractic & Rehabilitation in Rockville.
