When she received the blood work results we sat down and went over everything. After five weeks of antibiotics and supplements I'm starting to feel like me again. I've been able to visit friends and enjoy their company. Some friends I haven't seen in three years because I couldn't get out of the house. I still have a way to go but I'm hopeful I will continue to feel better as I continue my treatment under Dr. Ridinger's care.

Oh, let me mention, I've just been notified that my local medical office in Lovettsville USA is being closed down by the Leesburg Sterling Family Practice mothership for financial reasons (missing its numbers perhaps). Bottom line is that business like this are focused on maximizing revenue and contribution goals to the "practice" than the patient and the local community healthcare needs. The doctors are now employees under these business structures (with their 9-5 workdays and kickass 401ks) and answer to what the funding source (their management) demands and controls. Hey doc-in-the-box sign these Non-disclosures to ensure you don't stray from the corporate playbook and the big Pharma sales pitches. And if you're Medicare, consider yourselves safe, forget LSFP as an option and my message all together, since seniors need not apply and belong in a third world clinic anyhoot. Folks in Lovettsville are witnessing these keen eye on revenue goals with the closure of this office because, as the email states, it's due to "financial challenges" due to the increasing costs to operate as an "independent medical office" (really, independent?, that lends to an oxymoron you employee-doctor). Following guidance from O'Hanrahan the accountant and LSFP concluded that consolidation is the answer and maximize patient counts and wait times coupled with a good drive allows for inner reflection and self healing. Or is really about pulling the numbers and matching the billing code that maximizes revenues for practice contributions (can't call it profit -- right you kinda like non-profit business entity)? By the way, certain billing codes need not apply. Come on, rather than bringing medical services to the community, the community must now travel to the medical service wherever it may be and a little reflection on a long drive is like a spoonful of big Pharma medicine. Dare I mention now, only if you have a qualifying plan, so call before you go, since there are only six insurance plans accepted. Other plans need not apply. But wait!.. with the right plan and age and pharma gullibility, you still have a choice of five LSFP facilities to inconveniently travel to; and get there early for the free toaster! Maybe not a toaster, unwrapped sausages in a can perhaps? Doctors seem to be focused on trends and administrative checkboxes and counts to satisfy the folks that sign their paychecks and approve their leave rather than individual patient care or well-being. By the way Lovettsville town people, if there's another game in town (or not), my email states that Leesburg Sterling Family Practice will wrap up my medical records in a bow and ribbon to take somewhere else. Didn't state at no additional cost though and no bow or ribbon. Uh-oh, my bad, I just realized, there ain't no Love Et al in the Leesburg Sterling Family Practice sales pitch! Duh, that's the real bottom line. Fare thee well, Dr. M. from the Lovettsville not so independent practice. Patients need not abide.

When I first came I truly thought this was an excellent practice. I thought very highly of doctor…read moreLola and was impressed with who she had become, a doctor, being a young black woman. Her care for me was good while I was in fair health. March 29 of this year I had CHF. I was in the hospital 7 days and had an angioplastices procedure. On my last day, I needed a follow up the day after I got home. She refused and put it 2 weeks later despite the hospital calling and asking. My job is sedentary and grave yardshift so the physician and my heart doctor were only concerned for my driving or lifting heavy things as a restriction when I returned to work. This I informed Dr. Lola and requested she fill out the forms from my job so I could return to work. My job requested the forms returned by the 22 so they could schedule me to work again that week. Dr. Lola complained that she hated when employers wanted her to fill out such forms. I offered to fill most of it out with the exception of the one box where she had to fill it being my doctor, a small 2 minute thing. She dismissively told me to leave it at the counter and she would get to it. Three days later, she had not completed it. Two more business days later, ( seven in all) it still was not done and my job hung in the balance. Without the doctor acknowledging I was in the hospital, it appeared I was out if work for three weeks for no reason plus I was down two paychecks. I stable enough on the new medication to return to work. My brother called to find out what the hold up was but again, we were deflected and dismissed. So we called my heart doctor and shared with him what was happening. He didn't want me to become anxious or stress out because it would cause another heart event. His staff assured me everything would be okay and invited me to come that day and he would complete my employment paperwork so I could return to work. Within the hour, he took 5 minutes out of his time to fill his part out and sign it. I then faxed it to my employer. He put the restrictions for no lifting heavy things and returned me to work April 22, 2025. On April 22, 2025 right before noon, Dr Lola from light house sent me a copy of her paperwork from my job. She put down I return to work May 7 and no restrictions and she gave no reason. I was dumbfounded. My job called me and saw the fax and they were dumbfounded too. How could a PCP so derelictly contradict even the basic care for someone with CHF? And why put the return date to work so far off if you believed no restrictions? Thankfully my job listened to tge cardiologist and not Dr. Lola. Dr. Lola abandoned my care as her patient and took her subjective feelings about employers sending paperwork to her to be sure their employees can work; she took her discomfort over that out on me. This was unprofessional and childish. I emailed her back stating I was not going to use her as my PCP any longer and that I was disappointed in how she handled my circumstance. That she has made me hesitant to use another PCP as my doctor because she abused my trust. I told her shame on her because she could of cost me my job as well as my safety on the job. She sent me an email back ridiculing me by saying she " enthusiastically" releases me as her patient. I never thought of her as being arrogant or narcissistic but I clearly see I was wrong. I thought she was an example I could tell my daughter to model herself after. But I see now she is a fake in a white coat undeserving of any praise. She is only in it for a paycheck.
