The environment there is always warm and friendly, and you instantly feel comfortable and as though you have known them all for years. What dentist's office offers you tea from a gorgeous tea set, a cookie after every visit, and all sorts of other goodies and gift certificates to provide family and friends you refer?!? The geniuses at Tavormina Dentistry, that's who! I had an appointment the day before my birthday this year and as I was getting out of the chair to leave I see the entire staff walking towards me with candles in a cake singing me happy birthday!! That is just one of many examples of this office going above and beyond to make sure you feel recognized and appreciated as their patient, which comes through in everything they do! Even more importantly, Dr. Tavormina's work is impeccable. In my experience, impeccable dentistry is usually accompanied by an exceptional ego and poor people skills, but Dr. Vincent Tavormina really breaks the mold here. I have never met a dental surgeon/dentist of his caliber with such exceptional people skills. He took the time to answer all of my questions and hypothesize about a few different options. He listened to every last idea or suggestion I had and then carefully explained the pros and cons to each of them. He is truly the best dentist/dental surgeon I have ever had the pleasure of being treated by, and trust me, I have tried several different places. I was one of those people who rarely found myself loyal to one particular practitioner because either the office staff was disorganized, or the dentist didn't want to listen and discuss a course of treatment, or a million other reasons...however I am now a loyal patient of Dr. Vincent Tavormina and his crew, and will never bother with another dentist or dental/surgeon again. This happened several times. That was easily fixable. The last time I went I waited 25 minutes for a hygienist. When I asked what was the delay I was told they had a "difficult patient." I couldn't understand that since a cleaning takes about the same time every time and with every patient. Then I heard the staff telling him he needed three more appointments because the hygienist needs to go very deep. What's a little malpractice? If it needs to be deep it needs to be done by a periodontist, not a hygienist. Back to me. When they finally call me in it is not the hygienist I had asked for when I made the appointment. Worse yet, my dentist was not in. I was going to be seen by another dentist. They should have called me to tell me that so I could reschedule. I was not there for an emergency. To add insult to injury, when I attempted to leave a staff member who I had never seen before attempted to lock me in my seat with her arms. You can't make this stuff up.
