However, the one thing that I did always dream of was having a string quartet at my wedding. Maybe it was those two years of viola in middle school...or maybe it is just something about the culmination of the strings coming together that is just so beautiful... We found Luminous Sounds while at a bridal event after having gotten recently engaged in spring of 2015. After listening and meeting with them, we knew we had to have them play for our wedding. Kim was probably the best and easiest vendor we communicated with from the get-go. She made everything so EASY and was always there if we had any questions on anything. The music they play ranges from classical to upbeat, pop and contemporary. How many grooms can say they walked down to Taylor Swift's (hubby's secret guilty pleasure...shhhh) "Love Story"? They even learned a song for me to walk down to by one of my favorite all-time bands, The Decemberists (The Hazards of Love 4). For whatever reason, the excitement of the day, my dad walking me too fast down the aisle..I didn't get to really hear this song, but it's all okay. Even the photographer commented on how great they were and that they played Metallica while people got to their seats. All in all, the perfect background to our ceremony and the music tailored to our tastes and preferences. We couldn't be happier, and highly recommend Luminous Sounds string quartet - a superbly talented group of women.

He was funny (as accurately advertised), engaging, and good at his job! lol We hired Allen very last minute for a community talent show hosted by our church. We were grateful for his availability and quick correspondence. He arrived early for our sound check and was easy to work with. We had him on stage for 30 min then on walk around for the 30 min intermission. The stage performance was fantastic. Allen works the crowd up and gets people involved. The room shifted quickly from entertained applause to a loud "OH SNAPS"and "NOOO". I stepped outside during intermission but could hear very clearly the intermittent "OHHHHH's" as Allen performed his walk-around. Long story short - I am very thankful Allen pursued his magic side gig and I'm on the lookout for another chance to hire him.

On the day of the event, he kept me posted on his travel time (he was driving in from NYC), and ended up arriving early, which is something I always appreciate. Once he got started with my guests, it was a BIG HIT from the get go, and continued on throughout the time he spent with his. It was an adult-only party, and he was able to cater to this crowd very well. One of my guests is a fan of magic and compared his performance to some of the top-notch shows in NYC he's been to (the ones that are impossible to get tickets to). Allen's flexibility on timing, and pleasing the guests again showed his upmost professionalism in every way. Since my event has passed, pretty much all of my guests asked for his contact information. I am an alumni of this dance studio and wouldn't have danced anywhere else! I love everything about this studio and I am close with the owners. Both Casey and Kristi have inspired me to become a teacher myself. They are encouraging, hardworking, dedicated women and I am so lucky to have them as role models in my life. They have both worked hard to make sure their students are confident and enjoy dance. Through the years I grew as a dancer and person, without dance and these women I wouldn't be where I am today! I recommend this studio 100% and you won't be disappointed! read more
