Very nice small venue for local productions. It shares his building with offices and apartments which was odd but still a clean place to enjoy a night out. read more

I really love this place. The talent is on point and the price is right! I have seen a few shows there and have no complaints. You can't expect Broadway but you can expect plenty of entertainment and feel good about supporting a local theater. Not everyone wants to or can schlep into the city for a show. Oh yeah..Don't expect a lavish intermission offering. But for $28 be realistic please read more

Went to see Alice and wonderland. My 4 year old absolutely loved it. Very inexpensive. $11 a ticket. All the seats are good. Not to close in the front. And not to far away in the back. The consession stand is reasonably priced. Already waiting for a different play to come around! read more

I bought 2 tickets to Briggadoon in September for my Mom's birthday. The night of the show, I drove to the Babylon theater by mistake. By the time I realized my mistake, it was too late to drive to East Islip. I was very busy at work, so when I had time, I called the theater in November to explain my mistake and ask if I could stop by with the tickets to show that they weren't used. The woman that answered the phone refused to give me any compensation. She asked me why I didn't call the theater that night. My experience has been that theater offices are usually not open on a weekend night. I believe that I should get some type of compensation since I didn't receive the service I paid for. The tickets were $50 total. I have written a letter to the owner and enclosed the tickets. The reason why I couldn't write this review until now is because I misplaced the tickets, but I just found them. I will update this review when I receive a response to my letter read more

Love taking the kids (3 and 6) to shows at the Bayway Arts Center. We go a to a few shows every year. The shows are always upbeat and enjoyable, with an intermission so the little ones can stretch their legs. And the kids absolutely love getting autographs from the cast after the show! read more

However, the one thing that I did always dream of was having a string quartet at my wedding. Maybe it was those two years of viola in middle school...or maybe it is just something about the culmination of the strings coming together that is just so beautiful... We found Luminous Sounds while at a bridal event after having gotten recently engaged in spring of 2015. After listening and meeting with them, we knew we had to have them play for our wedding. Kim was probably the best and easiest vendor we communicated with from the get-go. She made everything so EASY and was always there if we had any questions on anything. The music they play ranges from classical to upbeat, pop and contemporary. How many grooms can say they walked down to Taylor Swift's (hubby's secret guilty pleasure...shhhh) "Love Story"? They even learned a song for me to walk down to by one of my favorite all-time bands, The Decemberists (The Hazards of Love 4). For whatever reason, the excitement of the day, my dad walking me too fast down the aisle..I didn't get to really hear this song, but it's all okay. Even the photographer commented on how great they were and that they played Metallica while people got to their seats. All in all, the perfect background to our ceremony and the music tailored to our tastes and preferences. We couldn't be happier, and highly recommend Luminous Sounds string quartet - a superbly talented group of women.

He was funny (as accurately advertised), engaging, and good at his job! lol We hired Allen very last minute for a community talent show hosted by our church. We were grateful for his availability and quick correspondence. He arrived early for our sound check and was easy to work with. We had him on stage for 30 min then on walk around for the 30 min intermission. The stage performance was fantastic. Allen works the crowd up and gets people involved. The room shifted quickly from entertained applause to a loud "OH SNAPS"and "NOOO". I stepped outside during intermission but could hear very clearly the intermittent "OHHHHH's" as Allen performed his walk-around. Long story short - I am very thankful Allen pursued his magic side gig and I'm on the lookout for another chance to hire him.
