    This guy is bad news.

This guy is a clown. Try's intimidating folks for nothing. The sheriffs gangs has more gang members than the streets do.

Horrible customer interactions. Deputies remove their name tags and do not respond on when asked. A big FAIL

It wasn't precisely the exact cost but it was close. I arrived on schedule and it took about 5 minutes to get the finger printing lady to show me into a room to get my prints. It was fairly easy and quick and I was given a receipt and I was on my merry way. The front lobby was clean and open and people were professional. I'd come again to do the Live scan again if needed. Currently they are looking for police officers to fill positions so if you want to move laterally they'll pay you $20k bonus to do it.

Yvonne Llamas was unhelpful and appeared unwilling to assist me from the beginning. Because I needed assistance in Spanish, another employee was initially asked to help, but when Ms. Llamas became involved again, the interaction continued to feel unprofessional and discourteous. I understand that public service employees can be busy and deal with many requests throughout the day, but members of the public deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism. A more courteous attitude and a willingness to help would have made a significant difference. I hope management reviews this feedback and continues to emphasize the importance of providing professional, respectful service to everyone who comes in seeking assistance

The incident involved an Asian deputy (identified as Deputy Lang) and a white male deputy (described as approximately 5'7", 200 lbs, with blonde hair and sunglasses). While Deputy Lang conducted himself in a smart, professional, and courteous manner, the conduct of his partner--the blonde male deputy riding in the passenger seat--was entirely unacceptable and fell severely short of the standards expected of the department. My specific grievances regarding the passenger deputy include: Refusal to Identify: When requested, the deputy refused to provide his name and badge number, which is a direct violation of standard department policy regarding public accountability. Negligent Demeanor: The deputy was not wearing his seatbelt either before or after our interaction, demonstrating a blatant disregard for basic safety laws and vehicle codes that he is sworn to enforce. Dismissal of a Serious Threat: I attempted to report a life-threatening situation, to which the deputy dismissively stated that he "did not have time" and told me not to "waste his time." As a tax-paying resident, I expect a basic standard of quality, urgency, and professionalism from public safety officers--especially when life-threatening matters are being reported. The lazy and dismissive attitude displayed by this individual is a liability to the community and a disservice to the professional standards demonstrated by his partner, Deputy Lang. I request that Internal Affairs investigate this matter, identify the passenger deputy assigned to Deputy Lang during this shift, and take appropriate disciplinary action. I look forward to a response detailing how this matter will be addressed.

I did, and spoke with Sheriff Spencer. He arrived in approximately 10 minutes, and I shared my experience as to what happened. Talking to Sheriff Spencer, I felt he was talking down to me. He asked me questions, which my recall of the incident already answered, prior. Sheriff Spencer suggested I misplaced my stolen item, which was virtually impossible, evidenced by many reasons I described to him. He asked for my ID, and told me to wait at the gym. I'm assuming looking me up in the database, making me feel as if I was the perpetrator. After several minutes, Sheriff Spencer gave me back my ID, spoke with the club manager, and reiterated I most likely misplaced the item, and with a good thorough cleaning, my lost item would be found. He filled out a report, which I signed and given a copy. What a complete waste of time & effort. I shouldn't even have had the club manager call the Cerritos Sheriff Station, as it was pointless and resolved nothing. I've been told by the 24 Hour Fitness club manager there are recurring thefts in the locker room, which the post meeting with the club manager was about, and I don't feel as if nothing will be done to minimize future incidents. Unless an absolute emergency, I don't think I'd call the Cerritos Sheriff Station, again.

He asked if we were still planning to tent the house this weekend. I confirmed that we originally planned to fumigate this weekend; but this task was rescheduled. I did not realize that when I contracted with the pest control company, that firm applied for a permit and stated that the house would be tented during the Thanksgiving weekend. This information was shared with the police. Maybe you've heard of this scenario before: A house is tented over a long weekend, and criminals use the opportunity to burglarize the house. The officer was polite and professional. I feel it was a positive interaction. And I derived a sense of security knowing information like this is shared with officers, to enhance their situational awareness.

After providing my information, I was asked additional questions about my whereabouts. I was fully cooperative and honest throughout the interaction. I also consented to a search of my vehicle, as I had nothing to hide. Despite that, I was asked to step out, placed on the curb, and treated in a way that felt unnecessarily disrespectful and excessive for a traffic violation. The tone and approach did not match the situation. This experience has changed how I will handle future interactions. Moving forward, I will be more aware of my rights and limit my responses accordingly. All because of officers like Mr Cerda. People like him are what change the public's perception about law enforcement. Never in 15 years of diving and 4 interactions have I been treated in that way , with no provocation at all. Remove your Badge Mr Cerda, and your god complex won't serve you justice anymore, asshole.
