Also, their operating hours are so convenient and we can always get a court on a whim. The added convenience of booking courts online and paying thru Venmo is a big plus! Prices are really competitive and much cheaper than that new place in Carson! Please come check this place out! You will not want to go anywhere else! They have seven courts and offer open play. First thing that caught my attention was how fast and lack of bounce the balls were traveling down the court. The open play isn't divided to play levels so you can be in a high level or low level game randomly, can be intimidating for newbies. This place is definitely a good pay play place to try. The owner Leslie was very nice and helpful to get me started with signing the wavier and into playing.

My kids have been living it up with poolside shirley temples and fries. it's wonderful to see that there is still a place with JOY. Not about getting ahead academically, or being the most competitive athlete, but just about having good ol' fashioned fun. I hope my kids stay long enough to maybe one day be staff.

0 stars if that were an option!!!!!…read more Shoot 360 Torrance completely ruined my friend's children's 15th birthday celebration (twins!) on 1/31, and the way they handled it was beyond unacceptable. The manager, Andreas Forslund, explicitly told my friend that although the original party slot was 2-4 PM, we could stay until 6 PM because there were no other events scheduled. Based on that assurance, food was ordered, guests were invited, and families planned their afternoon around that timeframe. At 4:20 PM, a man who had booked the venue for 4:30 PM approached our party raising his voice, aggressively demanding that we leave. This happened in front of guests and children. Shockingly, Shoot 360 staff did absolutely nothing to intervene or de-escalate the situation. They allowed this man to continue yelling at our group. We were then forced to pack up immediately!!Guests were sent home without eating, and the cake wasn't even cut. The families literally left hungry. The celebration was abruptly ended with zero notice, despite what the manager had promised. Only after the damage was done did Andreas Forslund state that the general manager rented out the space without his knowledge. That internal miscommunication is not the customer's responsibility! Yet we were the ones who paid the price. To make matters worse, my friend was not reimbursed despite them completely ruining an important milestone birthday. This was an embarrassing, chaotic, and heartbreaking way to conduct business. Poor communication, no accountability, no customer care, and no respect for families or children. Do not book parties here. If something goes wrong, they will not protect your event or take responsibility.

They're open weekdays: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Saturdays: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Sundays: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM; with longer weekday summer hours of operation: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM. I think kendo was held at one point, not sure if it's still around? Fast forward 10 years later, my son is a member of South Bay Judo (www.southbayjudo.com), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. The Club practices on Tuesday & Thursday evenings. It's a family-friendly club that teaches quality judo fundamentals to all students: discipline, honor, & respect inside & outside of the club. The gym hosts basketball, dodgeball, volleyball clinics on weekday evenings & weekends. H's classmate plays in the volleyball clinic on Saturday mornings. We're usually at the farmer's market before or after his matches & would stop by to cheer him on. The facility is fairly clean & well-maintained, except the restrooms may be messy & understocked on Saturdays due to the busyness of the park & center. If you're a Torrance local, stop by to see what the City of Torrance has to offer for you & your family.

Our youngest daughter wanted to start with her older sister and ended up playing 9 years with Sunshine. She was more than prepared for high school volleyball and college (D1) volleyball. And she's 5' 5", so short girls play volleyball too. Sunshine is run by Cari and Lou Ann who between them have decades of experience growing this Club to the highest levels. They have trusting relationships with college coaches. The Sunshine coaches stay and provide consistency and confidence in the program. The girls truly LEARN the sport. There all levels of teams for every age group. They have a college recruitment coordinator. The training is the best! I loved how their practices were augmented by the plyos training on the beach. They travel all over the US for best tournaments and teams compete against the top teams in the country. And because of all of the togetherness and travel, the relationships formed between the girls are amazing and wonderful and lifelong. My daughter is a Junior in college and she still hangs tough with her Sunshine teammates when she comes home on breaks. And as close as the girls are, the parents' "meetings" are legendary. I remember wondering whose party is this really? One last thing- the uniforms!! Unquestionably the best in the country! O.K. Not that important, but still. I would recommend Sunshine Volleyball Club to anyone looking for a comprehensive volleyball experience for their daughter, where they can love the sport and become part of a wonderful volleyball family.

WARNING TO PARENTS: If you are considering booking a private session with Saskia, ask about pricing…read moreBEFORE you confirm anything -- because she won't tell you. I want to be very clear about how this situation started: I did not seek Saskia out. I reached out to Sunshine Volleyball Club inquiring about training for my daughter. The club referred her to me, and Saskia contacted me directly. From that very first email all the way through scheduling -- across 8 messages back and forth -- her rate of $120/hour was never mentioned. Not once. As a single father, every decision I make for my daughter is calculated. I don't have unlimited resources, and opportunities like this are not something we take lightly. My daughter is an independent studies student who also takes physical education as part of her school curriculum. We made the conscious decision to pull her out of her scheduled school day -- time she would have otherwise spent with her peers in a real PE class -- to attend this 1:30 PM session at the time Saskia said worked for her. That sacrifice meant something to us. When we arrived, I had to be the one to ask what the session even was -- a consultation, an assessment, actual training? Only then did Saskia reveal her $120/hour rate. Had I not asked, she would have proceeded and I would have owed $120 for a session whose cost was never disclosed at any point during our entire conversation. What hurt most was watching my daughter walk away from that interaction with her emotions dismissed and no acknowledgment of what we gave up to be there. No sympathy. No accountability. Just a rate dropped on us at the door like our time had no value. As a single dad doing everything I can to give my daughter the same opportunities other kids have, that stings deeply. This is not how professional coaching works. Our time was not respected, our circumstances were not considered, and another family almost got blindsided by a $120 bill with zero warning. Other parents -- especially those who are stretching to make these opportunities happen for their kids -- deserve to know what they are walking into. Get everything in writing before you commit.

Michael took him under his wing at 6.5 years of age, recognizing his extreme passion and dedication in wanting to learn how to fence. My son adores Michael, and looks forward to going to fencing 4 days per week. In fact, he wishes that the club were open every day for fencing! Michael's dedication and coaching are evident as my son qualified for the Y10 Men's Sabre Summer Nationals this year, winning his first Direct Elimination at his first national tournament. Additionally, he has won 3 medals in the last 10 months of competing. Michael is a no nonsense coach, which is perfect if you want your child to learn how to fence well, and how to fence properly. As a former Olympian he looks to the future, instead of creating bad habits to help your child win now. Longevity in the sport is important to him, especially with his youth program where youth burnout and repetitive stress injuries can occur. No matter if your child wants to recreationally fence or excel in the sport, Michael D'Asaro and Lancelot Dyke (Assistant Sabre Coach) will help your children develop better athleticism, proprioception, balance, and sportsmanship! Both coaches are very supportive, encouraging growth and expanding potential in each individual fencer. The club is large with numerous strips, and all of the fencers are kind and respectful. I never hesitate to leave my child there while running errands, as I know he will be in great hands. Both coaches (Michael and Lance) are very communicative with their respective kids' parents, and very helpful with navigating the way for welcoming newcomers!

It's also quite a spacious ballroom, making it perfect for large events and parties. Aside from enjoying the view, I got to enjoy a wonderful dinner here tonight. Dinner was kicked off with appetizers such as Fried Artichoke, Chicken Tostada and Coconut Shrimp. The main dinner course consisted of tender Short Rib with Roasted Potatoes and Peas. Dessert was a mini Apple Pie topped with vanilla ice cream drizzled with caramel. I enjoyed visiting Palos Verdes Golf Club very much. One thing I would note though was when I was leaving, it was quite dark. The neighborhood around doesn't have much light in the evening. I wasn't quite a fan of the dark area and I do wish there were more lights around. Other than though, this spot is a beautiful spot to visit.
