I have been taking classes at LAMT for 6 months now and I have truly enjoyed and grown from the experience so far. My kids have been doing the class for a few months already. I like the schedule that allows them to exercise 3 times a week for 90 minutes in comparison with other places that only have 60 minutes classes. One of the main things that make this place special is the fact that they're not being pressured to fight, they're learning and training at their own pace, knowing that their opinion matters when is time for sparring if they decided not to do it. read more

Brought my son n his friend. Son disliked te coach seems like coach put him down So much my son said he will not train there. Dont wOrry We wont be back. the coach(owner main guy) seemed to be holding a grudge with me. i came in before and said i wasnt shaking hands. Guy the coaches manner changed With me after that. If a person isnt shaking hands might be a reason behind it you cannot see from having dirty hands to brain re wireing. You dont know. I've tried other gyms in the past but nothing compares to Los Angeles Muay Thai. David is a really awesome instructor who works with people of all levels both kids and adults. He is very attentive and passionate in what he does and always helps those who are struggling with any techniques. It's hard to come by an instructor who takes care of everyone trying to learn Muay Thai. Today was my first workout a Los Angeles Muay Thai, and it was amazing !!! I was welcomed in by Erica she was really nice and attentive.The gym was super clean and so was the bathroom. I came in signed my waiver put my stuff in the cubbys changed in the bathroom and came out ready to start. Anyone can train here before my class was the kids class and it was super awesome to see how focused they where. I was super nervous and a little intimidated. I don't think I'm very coordinated so I was kinda hesitant. First we started with the warmup which had me sweating !! Then got in the ring .... the owner started walking me through the basics and before I knew it I was moving around in the ring ... I didn't even know I could do that. So ladies if you are looking for a place to workout and learn how to defend yourself this is the place... Don't feel intimidated David the owner is a really good teacher and I promise you will feel awesome walking out of here. read more

I came here off a recommendation of my former Muay Thai coaches, the fact that they vouched for him as a teacher and fighter spoke volumes to me and I was not disappointed. As a female practitioner of the sport, I'm always a little nervous on entering a new gym, meaning I'm worried they'll try and take my head off and ego trip on me. However, my fears were completely unwarranted, as I was warmly greeted with respectful sparring partners who were all trying to improve, and not prove. This really is a testament to the level of respect David demands on all his students, novice and advanced. In my experience, a lot of good fighters are not good teachers, but with David you get both, which is a rare find. He has a wide technical knowledge and is super patient and calm, which is key when working with beginners. David's love of Muay Thai is simply infectious, I only wish i had more time to come down here to train and learn. I'm extremely happy I've found a new Muay Thai coach here at LAMT and am looking forward to growing with the gym. read more

This is by far one of the best gyms I've been to. They take the Martial Art very serious and at the same time you get a good work out! The coach is extremely knowledgeable as he himself is a professional fighter and a huge advocate of the sport.
