Veggie burrito was pretty good with horrible sauce on top. 2 of our party of 3 got food poisoning (diarrhea and stomach upset). rice was extremely bland and dry. Beans were tasteless (as if out of a can) . Ordered chips but did not include salsa. read more

This used to be my go to place for Mexican around here. I wish the old owners would have left a salt shaker behind for the new owners. The food is incredibly bland. Everything is very fresh but lack any seasoning which is surprising for Mexican food. I gave them two shots, the first I got tacos El Pastore. They were flavorless aside from a touch of heat and pineapple. The guacamole had zero salt. The next time I got the fajitas, again, no salt or flavor really of any kind. We used to love this restaurant. It had amazing food. I don't know what happened, but everything except the plantains were barely edible. Nachos had a bare sprinkle of cheese that was half melted, but a half a head of iceberg lettuce shredded on top. Salsa was bland, guacamole was flavorless without any salt or garlic. Our entrees were barely edible, the rice had a weird texture, and no flavor in the beans. The one bright point was the plantains which excellent! We were wondering why the restaurant, which used to be full of diners was completely empty (some background music would have helped with the silence too) Now we know. The people working there are very nice. I encountered 2 problems. Luckily I asked for an itemized bill. I thought the bill was very high for a fajita and tacos. I was told there were three tacos to an order. I asked for American tacos. I explained what I wanted on them. The normal stuff. There were no chopped tomatoes at all. There were also only 2 tacos which had almost zero meat in it and almost no other ingredients. It was on a soft shell too. I found I was overcharged for the tacos, after reviewing the receipt. If I hadn't caught it, I would have paid $24 for 4 tacos! I also paid for a large sour cream. It was a tiny cup. I had to ask if there was taco sauce in the bag. There was NOT! She had to go get it. I will definitely not be going back. I would have had a way better meal from the fast food place across the street! Very disappointing for a 95 year old man that spent $55 on a crap meal. read more

Do not eat here. I have eaten here several times and they have gotten my order wrong every single time. Always check your to-go order before you leave the parking lot! Usually I can look past that and they will fix it. The food is fine and it's close so I liked it. But this last time they got my order wrong (again) and when they fixed it proceeded to try and charge me more after I had already driven back to fix the order. Nothing on the menu is the actual price they will charge you. They will always up charge you. They could not care less. I will never eat here again. This place is absolutely horrendous. They charged me an extra 30 dollars and messed up every single part of my order. We got two drinks and charged us for 3. Another group of people were sitting in the restaurant, waiting for their meal. The man at the counter pointed to them and held up their food, waiting for them to get up and grab it. So I'm taking the time to write this review because they deserve a cheers for how terrific their food is. We absolutely love this place! We stopped in for lunch after driving by so many times. While it's not much to look at, we really don't care so long as we get great food at a reasonable price. Ambiance - for us anyway - is a secondary factor since we really don't want to pay for it when it's good food we're after. This hit the spot for me and my husband since, coming from the West Coast, we had not found authentic and really good Mexican food until now. The menu is authentic and extensive. I ordered the sopes with carnitas which came out fresh and full of flavor. My husband had the camerones in garlic sauce which was not only great, but there was a generous portion and size of shrimp! The staff are so nice, accomodating and wonderful! This will for sure be a regular place for me and my husband in eating out! read more

The service was excellent, our server returned to the table often to check on us. She immediately brought us chips and salsa with our drinks. We had the queso con chorizo appetizer, which was more like chorizo crumbles topped with melted shredded cheese. Came in and two servers sitting at a table on the back, they didn't say hello or sit us, we sat an wait for more than 10 minutes and nobody came to serve or take our order at all. IF I COULD RATE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS, I WOULD. I had placed an order for over $300.00. They had to come back TWICE in order to "fix my order" and yet the second time the delivery guy came I still had tacos missing. I had called the store because the delivery guy told me "I don't know I only deliver food" but yet the owner is clearly a family member and he is not hired by an outside party. I had given back the last order of tacos because they sent me 3 steak tacos instead of 5 and we're charging me $17.50. If I would have not checked my order AGAIN, they would have taken my money. Ate here for the first time last night with friends who have frequented it a lot. It was seriously amazing!!! The decor was cute & it is a casual, relaxed atmosphere. From what I understand, they are closing for a bit for renovations - so sad, I'd be back for more next week if I could! So on to the food! YUMMY!!!! The tortilla chips were fresh & crispy & salted just right! The salsa was fresh & had a great hot kick to it - perfectly chunky (how I like it). My son who has never acquired a taste for the salsa, not only tried it, but liked it! 5 out of the 8 of us had fajitas. Chicken, Steak & Shrimp, & Pork. EVERYONE raved!!! My son who likes it cooked with peppers, onions, etc. for flavor - but won't eat said peppers, onions, etc. and usually requires xtra shredded cheese, added some peppers to his (progress yay!). The fajitas had so much flavor in this wonderful light sauce & cheese melted over, that he ate it as is! I loved them!!! Tortillas tasted homemade & were piping hot! The other 3 people we were with had a variety of burritos that looked so appetizing, they seriously tempted me enough to possibly forego my standard Chix Fajita order & try the Burrito next time! Don't bother. I just spent about an hour waiting for two empanadas, which the server suggested I have because they were the daily special. Twice I watched as the server handed my empanadas to other people coming back in to complain they were missing food. So I asked how long it would be from that point I was asked what my order was again and then told 5-10 mins. Server went back and put my order in again. I Went outside and about 15-20 mins later went back in and the same server asked me what I wanted to order. I explained she already took my order a couple of times and I was returning to pick it up. She asked what it was again and was about to go back to the kitchen to ask for it again when I just decided to get a refund. I'm a pretty chill person but the place was not even 1/4 full. We often frequent Yolanda at this lil hole in the wall. Those are the best to find good food and reasonable prices. I have been going here for about a decade now. Burritos, Chimi's, Tostada, Tacos and Tocasas are very good. I wish they would bring back the cheesecake for desert. They Mexican seasoned it up and it was delicious. Being from Redondo Bch California it has been a difficult task to find good SoCal Mexican food on the east coast. Although this is more Mexico Mexican It will do. If I could give 0 stars I would!! I ordered a shrimp burrito which is $10.99 on the menu. It rang up as $12.99 because the menu isn't updated the young guy said. I said that wasn't my fault so he agreed to the original price. Then they tell me, after my card is charged, it's $12.22 due to a fee for using the card. Told them to give me the money back and keep the food. The notice for the fee is on the counter behind the plastic draping. How could I see it?' Then the older guy threatens to call the police!!!
