The enchiladas were amazingly delicious and the service was excellent. I'll be back soon!

Trio fajitas

Excellent genuine Mexican food. Fast service! We were seated and immediately served their complimentary salsa and warm chips. Skip the McDonald's and Taco John's and support this small family owned business! You won't regret it.

Great service- friendly & fun, classic music! Extensive menu and large portions. Good deal on Margaritas. Glad they're open on Sundays.

I can't believe I've never been here before. My girlfriend…read moreand I went last night, and everything was excellent. My (rare) ribeye was the 2nd best steak I ever had in my life. Her baked potato, my "Tin Taters", our Texas toast, my tortilla soup, her carrot cake, my cheesecake w/strawberries...all of it was simply magnificent. Good service, nice place to dine. Good, semi-local beers on tap. We will definitely be back!

This WAS our go-to steakhouse in the Sioux Falls area…read more And yes, I emphasize "was" sadly. Located about thirty minutes north of Sioux Falls in the small farming community of Flandreau, this little steakhouse became one of those hidden gems my husband and I found ourselves returning to whenever we had a serious craving for a good steak without dealing with the more corporate chain atmosphere back in the city. Unfortunately, the owner sold the restaurant earlier this year, and as of now no new buyer has reopened it. Which honestly makes me sad. There was something wonderfully unpretentious about this place. It was tucked quietly into a residential part of town near the local athletic fields and open farmland that stretch out with that classic small-town South Dakota feeling. You wouldn't necessarily expect one of the state's better steak experiences to be sitting there so modestly among homes and fields. But somehow, that made it feel even more authentic. The service was always warm, friendly, and deeply local in the best possible way. You never felt rushed or treated like just another table. It had that comfortable small-town hospitality where people genuinely seemed happy you came. And the steaks? Consistently very good. Were they the greatest steaks we've ever had in our lives? No. But they were reliably well-prepared, flavorful, satisfying, and honestly far better than many of the larger steak chains around Sioux Falls. The kitchen understood proper preparation and seasoning without overcomplicating things. There is a reason this place developed such a strong reputation over the years. The restaurant earned statewide recognition and frequently appeared in discussions of South Dakota's best steakhouses, drawing people from well beyond Flandreau itself. Including us. We happily made the drive many times because we knew we were likely going to leave happy. I truly hope someone eventually reopens the place and preserves what made it special. Small-town restaurants with genuine character, loyal followings, and heartfelt hospitality are becoming harder and harder to find.

My wife, her sister, my brother-in-law and I just finished dining here tonight…read more First of all, I have to say that it is a very established place that has been here since 1978. My wife's sister had the Chopped Sirloin plate with a baked potato; cooked just the way she likes it and still juicy and flavorful. My brother in law had the pan fried Walleye plate, also with a baked potato. The Walleye was well cooked with a light batter and no bones. Very delicious. My wife had the bountiful Seafood platter with a cod fillet, scallops, shrimp. All fried just right. I had the 14 oz Ribeye Steak cooked medium well just like I like it. Very tender, plenty of flavor and marbling. I'll have to eat that next time. "It's that good". We all had the baked potato and the free salad bar that comes with the dinner plates. The fresh bread brought to the table was homemade, hot, and fresh. By the way, the fresh cut salad bar and a potato are included with dinner. The service is very pleasant and friendly catering to our every need. The Brandon Steakhouse and Lounge has been around for 38 years as of 2016. Bob Miller the owner started this place back in 1978. They serve Lunch too. Give it a try. You can't go wrong.

Seriously, like stepping back in time to the days where you could go to your local steakhouse for a…read morephenomenal meal, friendly service, and a cozy home like atmosphere. Well, look no further. This no-frills steakhouse specializes in dry aged beef, is James Beard award winning, has great cocktails, and still serves you a relish tray while you wait for your meal. For those of you under the age of 35, a relish tray, often consisted of carrots, celery, pickles, and cubed cheddar cheese like this one. They also will bring you some bread and butter if you would like. In my opinion, you should definitely opt for the tenderloin, but I'm not sure there is a bad steak option on the menu. They also have seafood and even sandwich sandwiches including a burger so there's something for everyone! It's family friendly and although the decor will remind you of your grandma's house, no grandparent I have ever met could put out steaks like this. Visit the ice cream capital of the world and make sure to save room for a steak!
