Naan, chicken tikka masala, curry chicken and paneer aloo. Dal soup and basmati rice.

On the far east side of Sioux Falls, it's a bit of a drive but worth it! They have a splendid lunch buffet to try their many dishes. They make best and most tender chicken curry I've had in my life. Chicken tikka masala was good as well, flavorful and perfectly spiced. Really tasty naan bread as well. Generous well seasoned dishes- the paneer was perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was tidy and relaxing, and the staff were kind and considerate. I wish I'd heard of this place sooner- as I tend to stay on the west side of the city, but neither of the other Indian food places compare. Definitely take the drive and give this wonderful restaurant a try.

Visited Kathmandu Indian Cuisine on August 20, 2021 with my boyfriend. The inside had beautiful table settings but almost too much of the red decor. There was one table of 3 and us. The front desk phone rang nonstop and it was obnoxiously loud. The waiter only addressed my boyfriend, never me (I am female). It was really awkward and uncomfortable. Our food was interesting. My boyfriend ordered Chicken Bhuna. It arrived in a small metal dish. I ordered Chicken Tikka, which came out like fatijas at a Mexican restaurant. We were not given a knife in our silverware so I had to use my fork and spoon to cut my large pieces of chicken. His dish was very unappetizing in looks and it was messy to eat with a fork. The meal did not come with any Naan bread, which would have been a nice addition. It was his first time there and my last.

    No more buffet :(

Awesome tasting food, one of my favorite places to eat in Sioux Falls. Sadly, we came for the buffet and was very disappointed in learning they do not offer it anymore. It was our tradition to come in on my day off and enjoy the different meats and currys, as I would generally not eat that otherwise. Please bring back the buffet!

Food is good and reasonably priced. I usually order takeouts so I don't know about service or ambiance.

The food is average and kinda bland compared to other Indian restaurants I've been too. I think it's worth it for the lunch buffet.

I'm not…read morementioning this to brag, but as a way to show I've had Indian food throughout the United States so I think I have good idea what to expect. Having resided in Sioux Falls for about 2.5 years, I've found that food here is typically well prepared with fresh ingredients and served as I would expect. The strange thing is, there's almost always a distinct lack of any standout flavor: everything is there, it all tastes good, but it's not exciting or distinct. And so it goes with Indian Oven. There is a lot to like here and my rating is more like 3.5 stars. I just can't give it 4 stars. The portions are generous so you are getting a large amount of food. The entree I ordered arrived with rice which I appreciated. Service was prompt and efficient. The restaurant occupies the former Urban Chislic location so the decor inside looks much like a modern sports bar and that's fine - it's reasonably modern looking without being overwhelming. I think if I'd never had Indian food before I'd be very impressed. However, like I mentioned before everything looks and 'feels' accurate and yet the food always tastes like something is missing. I ordered Vegetable Samosa and there were good - the pastry seemed accurate and the filling was good. It was served with the usual sauce/sides as expected. The Dahl Makhni (beans) arrived at a very hot temperature which I did appreciate. The naan bread had a pleasant, chewy texture which I liked a lot. I can only give three stars because of the overall taste/flavor. I don't know if food in the Midwest is just intended to be 'flat' or 'polite'. I enjoyed everything I ordered and since I am a big eater I finished everything ordered - that alone should tell you it was good. Overall, it is a good place to eat and the food was accurate for Indian food. I just wish it was more flavorful and interesting to taste.

What's worse is that I took someone who is new to Indian cuisine with me and their experience was less than stellar. Not exactly the experience I wanted them walking away with. Service was super slow. We were seated and then they forgot about us for over 20 minutes. And not like we were tucked away in a corner. We were front and center by the main area. But, nope. We were apparently invisible. Eventually someone realized we had not been helped and finally took our order. The food was mixed. The vegetable pakoras were decent, and the highlight of the evening. Paneer Tikka Masala was a bust. Plenty of paneer, but the sauce itself was weak and lacked much flavor or depth. The naan was decent. Will try something else if I am very back in Sioux Falls and craving Indian food...

We ordered the veg samosa, chicken momo, mango chicken and garlic naan. The gal was friendly and said the mango chicken comes with naan and clarified we wanted another "order". We said yes. The order took about 15 mins to get and traveled well across town. The momo were the highlight! So good. Glad we ordered extra naan because we only had 2 pieces total -- seems a bit steep to charge $4 for one piece of naan. Our total came to $38. The mango chicken was good as well - but found a couple of coriander pods in it - I guess that means it's homemade! Flavor was great! Samosa was good as well - thick crust and good flavor. The reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 is due to the pods and price. Definitely will go back though!

There was 2 big chunks of burnt chicken in my curry and I guess I just assumed it would be saffron rice. I ordered an Indian coke and was given a coke from the gas station instead. I am a diabetic and only purchased the coke because I was told it was made with real sugar and not high fructose corn syrup only to be given exactly that!
