We had a change of insurance and searched high and low for a new pediatrician. Dr. Keswani was recommended by a handful of moms in a mommy group that I am in. I feel like I got lucky for our first try in change of a new pediatrician because so far everything has been good. I still have yet to bring my other children in for an appointment. Not sure if it was just me and still getting to know front desk but just wish they were a little more warm to a mama running late trying to navigate the new office & especially just being new to LGP in general. Dr. Keswani was great to work with. Very informative and respected my decision on vaccines. Can't wait for her to work with my other children. LGP has a 10 minute wait window after your scheduled appointment. They also only take new patients during the weekdays. The office is facing the street on Knowles so you may need to walk a bit. read more

We were told upfront that our concerns will be covered by annual check up exam. However, they billed us $500 for as much as they could possibly profit from this 10 mins conversation! Be aware of any questions you bring to this clinic other than measuring weight and height! On top of that, the pediatrician is cold and let the parents feel detached. Cons - Min 1 hr weight even if you arrive on time. - Nurses at this facility are rude - The facility is unhygienic and not good for infants. Out baby boy got sick after the visit. - No enough entertainment for kids while you are waiting for your turn - Chocolate color sofa there looks awful. Dont know how many germs live on that sofa. Both my kids have been patients here . Our main Pediatrician is Dr. Keswani and we see Dr. Stewart and Dr. Tan from time to time . We moved to San Ramon and yet drive all the way to meet Dr. Keswani :) I feel that she takes real interest in our kids and ensures they get the right treatment and also educates us as parents about children's health. I always feel so happy after meeting her ! This review is as a result of a recent back pain my daughter had due to a dance routine and Dr. Keswani patiently guided us about her care and took time to learn about all dance moves that could aggravate my daughter's back. Rest, cold packs and staying away from moves we had been asked to stay away from has my daughter dancing again, pain free. I mistakenly called this office in search of a pediatrician that could help after hours with an ear infection for my daughter. Dr. Pearlman was the on call pediatrician, his phone call was completely unprofessional, condescending, and completely unhelpful. While this is only one interaction, I can't imagine a competent, empathetic or compassionate pediatrician would conduct themselves this way. Being utterly disrespectful to a panicked mom looking for medical help is uncalled for - we all know parents aren't calling after hours because everything at home is peachy. Have some compassion or at least don't be unkind. To summarize, I'd stay away from this office or at least Dr. Pearlman. If you have to go here, be prepared to be disrespected. read more

I first met Dr. Pearlman at El Camino Hospital (Los Gatos). He did the first couple checkups with my newborn baby when I was in the hospital until I was discharged. Thereafter, I did the next few appointments with Sutter Health because that was my plan when I first chose my pediatrician during my pregnancy. Sutter Health was not a good experience and I nearly gave up breastfeeding because of them. My baby was born in the 91st percentile for weight and every Sutter appointment, they told me I needed to give my son formula so that he can stay in that percentile. Nothing wrong with formula, but Sutter was not helping me figure out how to exclusively breastfeed my baby (which was my goal). I left every appointment upset and anxiety ridden so I decided to see Dr. Pearlman for a second opinion since he was so funny and nice when I was in the hospital. The fourth trimester was a very difficult time for me and I shed many tears about how to feed my baby. Dr. Pearlman's office showed me kindness and supported me all through supplementing with formula, triple feeding, and now exclusively breastfeeding my baby. Dr. Chen is extremely rude and unprofessional. She should have licensed revoked. We had called to receive guidance as our child was not feeling well. But not to the level where we expected to get a lazy response to just bring our child into urgent care without gathering all the facts as to what as wrong with our child. This is quite the opposite of our experience with Dr. Tan and the other Drs. Maybe she was just upset because she had to work the weekend but she was very impatient and unfriendly and when we asked questions acted irritated. Why be a doctor when you don't want to help patients and shame parents? Her advice was not helpful, she should be fired or retire. We have not had the same bad experience with the other doctors in this office, it's unfortunate they have one bad apple. This bad experience is enough for us to consider moving our child to another practice. read more

Watch out for surprise billing!!! Brought my kids in for annual check. This is supposedly 100% covered by my insurance. Imagine my surprise when I get a billing for audiometry tests. This is not a service we asked for. Their excuse is, "we can't possibly know which insurances cover it and which don't". This is a poor excuse IMHO. We have had our kids at Los Gatos pediatrics for many years and they were always just mediocre enough for me to not go through the hassle to switch until recently. My son needed a COVID test for school so naturally we called the pediatrician. Was told he could get the regular test or the rapid test for $100. We didn't need the rush, so went in for the regular test. Went to a window, swabbed his nose, got the results. Then we got a bill for $100. A mistake right? So I call, they say they will have to look into it and will call me back. Don't call back. I get another bill saying the amount is now past due. I call, they say they'll look into it and call back, but don't. Repeat 2 more times. Finally on the 5th bill and 5th call, they say the $100 is for an office visit. I say what office visit, we just did a swab. They said that counts as an office visit. What?!? Not only is that ridiculous, they didn't tell me up front, and they are making an extra $100 off every COVID test than anywhere else (CVS, Walgreens, etc), during a Pandemic!!! Long story short, doctors aren't anything special, the office and billing customer service is terrible, and they are exploiting the pandemic to make money off of children getting COVID tests. I can't even believe it. Beware, this is a bad practice. Go elsewhere, I know I will. read more

I just want to give a shout out to Dr. Serena Tan from Los Gatos Pediatrics. Our twins were born premature at 33.5 weeks, and we had scheduled a meet-and-greet with Dr. Tan for the week after delivery. Once we got to the hospital however, we put down Dr. Tan as our babies' pediatrician. Despite never having met us, Dr. Tan was gracious and very diligent in visiting our twins often in the NICU, and in answering any and all questions that we had. She also performed our son's circumcision right in the NICU. Upon our twins' discharge from the NICU, after thoroughly reviewing my husband's insurance policy, we decided to go with Kaiser for financial reasons instead of PPO. Unfortunately, this meant we could no longer stay with Dr. Tan. When we explained our decision to Dr. Tan, she was kind and understanding, and a couple of weeks later, sent us our babies' newborn screening results with a personalized note on the front. Just from these interactions, I can tell that Dr. Tan is not only a skilled physician, but also someone who is kind and has a big heart. As we told Dr. Tan, if we were to ever go back to PPO, we would go back to her in a heartbeat! read more

I am beyond over this office. See my previous reviews. Last week we were in again, Dr. Tan was out, so we saw Dr. Bernard. Within a minute of seeing the spots/rash on my son's thighs she said it was molluscum. Dr. Tan has been misdiagnosing him since SEPTEMBER. I have spent $150 at least on copays for appointments for this issue. Not to mention the time off work, gas, stress, and time my son has missed at school. Back to our appointment last week, Dr. Bernard says she wants my son to be seen by a dermatologist asap. I got him an appointment as soon as I could, it was still over a week away. Over this past weekend one of the spots was getting big and red. My son is in a lot of pain. Sunday, I call and ask to get a call back from the on call doctor. It happens to be Dr. Tan. She seemed to be questioning Dr. Bernard's diagnoses. I'm not sure what was going on there, I believe Dr. Bernard is right, what he has looks like textbook molluscum. Anyways, I was asking Dr. Tan if there was something I could do for my son, he's in a lot of pain with that one that's red and larger than the other bumps. So much so he's having trouble even walking!!! She said, exactly "There's nothing we can do." Today, Monday, I have my son get up early so he can soak in a warm tub (this was a suggestion of Dr. Bernard, and it seemed to help some on Sunday). It didn't really do much. Large bump was just as painful. He's a freshman this year. Midterms/Finals are next week. My son is a straight A student. He works hard. He can't just stay home because he's having trouble walking from this spot. Not to mention he's missing gym class again for this issue. So he's got to make that up. Running out of time for makeups since the semester is ending. I get him to school and come home, hoping to talk to Dr. Bernard, see if she's got any helpful advice because Dr. Tan certainly didn't yesterday. Dr. Bernard is out today. My Mom thankfully had the idea to call the dermatologist and see if since it's such a dire circumstance they could see him sooner. Thank goodness they agreed to squeeze him in tomorrow afternoon. I am so FRUSTRATED and frankly extremely angry. It is December. We've been coming in, seeing Dr. Tan for this problem SINCE SEPTEMBER. Right now my priority is getting my son better and getting over this issue. After that, I am either going to see if Dr. Bernard can take him on, or we are changing offices. I do not wish to speak or see Dr. Tan again. I understand doctors are people and not robots and make mistakes. But this is a case of multiple misdiagnoses, she's seen him half a dozen times. I can honestly say this has been one of the most frustrating, difficult, angering, and emotional things I've been through as a parent. I definitely wouldn't wish it on any parent ever. read more

Worst experience ever. If your child is not sick and you have time to wait, this may be a place to go. If your child is sick, this place will delay the treatment in every aspects. First, it is hard to schedule appointments. They will always ask you to wait if you call them and phone call is the only way you can an appointment or follow up with an doctor. It is hard to talk to doctors and ask for a prescription even you just see him or her earlier in the day. The front desk will ask you to wait wait and wait. They have an app but the after visit summary is not updated in a timely manner. They won't response messages if you have any questions or follow up in the app as well. My son has been working with Dr Tan since he was born. She told us we need to feed him more and instructed us how we feed him. Two months later, my son is getting over fat and Dr Tan asked us to control the formula intake. But it is hard to put control on it. My son feels hungry often. In his 6mo, we notice he has less movement and could not roll over. Dr Tan even did not notice it. He was diagnosed gross motor development delay after seeing pediatric neurologist. I feel each doctor visit is rush. The office accepts too many patients. The front desk spent almost one week to have referral done. Also the office billing keeps sending me statements even we already paid copay. It's too annoying. We changed the doctor anyway and we are done with them. read more

Here again, I got a $100+ bill for a Covid test swap. I spent 2 minutes there, was billed 200+ for the visit, got no medical diagnosis or advices. Terry the billing office manage told me I am the only one complaint about the bill, my insurance has high deductibles of $100, and it's not the office's problem. It's a California law that the Covid test has to be conduct by a doctor, their office cannot change the billing code from a 15 minutes visit to a 2 minutes visit. It's my problem blah blah blah. I highly recommend all of you to report the billing issue to the medical board of California. The unethical and fraud of the bill practice in this office has to stop. Dr. Keswani has been my daughter's pediatrician for the last 4 years. Dr. Keswani goes above and beyond to look at your child holistically. She talks about what the child needs to work on , what toys to buy. I delivered my second child in Good Sam. I was alone at noon when Dr. Keswani visited us for a consult. She changed the baby's diaper and lit her to bed and asked me to sleep!!! Who does that !! I have been able to get same day appointments during urgent situations, on occasions with a different doctor in the same practice. They have recently updated the floors and walls in the clinic which was absolutely needed !! They just need to update the toys and other furniture!! I am so happy with Dr. Keswani overall. My only issue is that their entire medical record system is NOT online. So you cannot check results or contact the physician, look at record etc. Everything is old school!! I am ready to look above all of these because my care provider is excellent!!! read more

I love all of the Dr's here! I originally was with Dr. Bezecny but due to my limited availability Dr. Bezecny wasn't in the office on my days off. My daughter now sees Dr. Pearlman. Dr. Pearlman was actually the first Dr who saw my daughter when I gave birth. He was covering for Dr. Bezecny and my husband and I loved his sense of humor. I almost had a breakdown in the room because she was screaming for hours. Dr. Pearlman made sure that he did not bother us when he saw us resting and made us laugh during his visits. I've intentionally kept my expensive out of pocket PPO insurance to continue receiving care here instead of opting for a free Kaiser through work. It is a bit tough calling in because the phone lines are always ringing but they've always managed to schedule my daughter same day for emergencies. The Dr's are all very thorough, motherly/fatherly and I feel like I get that great quality service. read more

Los Gatos Pediatrics is an outstanding office. We have had dealings with both Dr. Pearlman and Dr Kaswani. Both are terrific doctors and great people. We had to call Dr. Kaswani at 5am over concerns with our 4 day old. She was pleasant and helpful and cheery even at that early hour on a Sunday. She called us back at 11 later that morning to check in on us. I've never had any doctor do that. She also scheduled an appointment first thing Monday AND scheduled us with a specialist we needed. And she is NOT EVEN OUR PRIMARY DOCTOR. Dr. Pearlman is our primary doctor and he is outstanding. Be warned, he has an odd sense of humor, which I think is great. Beyond that he is a caring and smart doctor with a great demeanor. He listens intently and provides sound practical advice. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Pearlman and LG Pediatrics. read more

We went through two other pediatricians before finding Dr. Pearlman. He's terrific: patient, understanding, responsive at all hours, relaxed and reassuring. Best of all, my wife is *very* particular about our kids' health care (after all we switched pediatricians three times in a year). We've been seeing Dr. Pearlman for three years now and that is saying a lot :) Perhaps the office is not the most modern, pristine clinical setting but the staff have always been pleasant. My daughter was in the nicu for a little while after she was born and I'm so glad Dr Tan was there through the whole ordeal. I had one visit with Dr Keswani and she was condescending and rude. Dr. Serena Tan has all the qualities I look for in a doctor--I was so happy to find her for my two young children. She came to the hospital on her day off when my son was born and she has always made time for my questions or concerns. She is not a fear-mongering, egomaniacal doctor (like I've had in the past) and she my children love her. I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone! Also, it has always been a pleasure interacting with the receptionists...they are organized, calm, and very helpful. PEARLMAN is educated, professional, & attentive. most importantly (unlike most doctors) he listens to my concerns & doesnt just brush things off as "no big deal"- my childrens health IS a very very big deal. i feel my motherly instincts are respected, that every question & situation is evaluated carefully. i also think it is helpful that i know he is fully listening to my concerns because he responds & educates me as the parent. the advice nurse is always very helpful & find her tips USEFUL & informative. both receptionist have always been polite & understanding towards a frantic and worried mother. i also have no complaints about their billing system or staff. they have always properly coded & billed my insurance. i am a bit ocd & i see some people left reviews complaining about a dirty office &/or dirty rooms- CHILDREN ARE DIRTY. i have seen rooms cleaned & hands washed on EVERY occasion. i would much rather staff and the dr be more concerned about my childrens health than cleaning every nook & cranny w bleach & a tiny brush after every kid.... duh. if there were used needles, bandaids, tape- or barf or poo piled or smeared on anything then i could understand the complaints, get over it....! if you are concerned your child might get sick from exploring pearlman's office, you may as well never leave the house. i know we all love our children dearly, but it is a unfortunate fact of life that we cannot keep them in a bubble :( i enjoy taking my children to this office. i appreciate the hard work, intelligence, kindness & patience of the staff in this pediatric office- & think they are all wonderful! read more

This review is for the front desk. They seam to have new assistants running the front desk. Every time when I call in, either put me on hold for very long time or someone pick up the phone but can't help you at all. This afternoon I just called in to pay my daughter's bill, I ask them to transfer me to billing department then transfer me back to the front desk 1st time, 2nd time transfer me there and got hung up, this is not the first time I experience this I do think the office need to train the front desk assistants. read more

We have been with this practice for over 2 years (for our two kids 5 and 1.5yrs). Office - The office staff is friendly, the office is open on Saturdays (by appointment, same day available) and we have not had any issues with same day appointments. The office is clean and there are seperate sick and well child lobbies/ exam rooms. Every room has an animal theme and toys to keep the children engaged as they wait. Doctors - The doctors are very qualified, experienced and take time to listen to your concerns and have a hollistic approach to check ups/ treatments. We see Dr.Keswani but have also see Dr.Tan. Both are excellent and have a unique way to connect with the children. They are also good about following up (emails/ phone calls). Wait times can be long on some days but thats a standard with almost all offices. We are happy with this practice and would recommend it. read more

We went to this office with our 1 year old because of all the rave reviews. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. First of all, the waiting room smelled. We arrived early for our appointment. After paperwork was completed and co-pay was paid, we were let into one of the offices. The room was FILTHY. I could not put my son down because I was afraid he'd get sick by just touching the two old and dirty toys that were there. The carpet was so filthy, I can not believe they let it go for so long! The nurse came in and told me to undress my son. She never introduced herself. She did what she needed to do, then left us to wait for the doctor. After 45 minutes my baby started to get annoyed. My husband left the room (for the second time) to find out why we were still waiting. The nurse who just saw us said "you are asking the wrong person"..thanks a lot! I dressed my son, we got our co-pay back and left. As we were leaving, the doc saw us but never said a word. I got a phone call from the office manager a week later apologizing and saying she had no idea what happened. Needless to say, I would never bring my son back to this office. Dr. Pearlman maybe a great doctor but I guess we'll never find out. I'd consider going back if he gave me a call personally, but then again, I don't want to be coming into a dirty office again. Dr. Bezecny was our pediatrician for two year, and she's "ok" as long as your child is healthy, but when you bring your sick child ... here's when the problem starts! I just started taking my son here because the doctors in this practice were recommended by some of the members of my mothers' group, especially Dr Tan and Dr Pearlman. Dr Serena Tan was very thorough and helpful at my son's 9 month check-up. She was also very kind to him and took time to get to know him a little. She answered all of my questions and relieved some of the worries I had about a couple of issues related to my son starting solid food. The administrators and nurses were also very professional and helpful when I dealt with them and I wasn't left waiting at any time. It is always easy to reach someone at the practice and get the information / appointment you need. Luckily, my son's been very healthy in general so I can't comment on how this practice would handle a serious illness but I'm not impressed with how my son was treated by Dr Pearlman at a recent visit. He was sarcastic and dismissive of my concerns. He was also quite rough handling my son, making him cry while examining him, and didn't attempt to get to know him or be kind in any way. He explained this away by claiming it was just 'stranger anxiety' but my son had been laughing and smiling at him before that and has never cried before when examined by doctors, including Dr Tan. I left the appointment none the wiser about the problems I'd raised and feeling as though Dr Pearlman couldn't care less about my son's health and that we had just wasted his very valuable time. So overall I would recommend this practice for general pediatric care and particularly Dr Tan but I would certainly not see Dr Pearlman if you're looking for a pediatrician who will treat your baby with kindness and be respectful to you as a parent. It may be possible that Dr Pearlman is good with older children, judging by some reviews on here, but I certainly wouldn't recommend him for first-time parents or parents of young babies generally. read more

Unfortunately simple things such as calling to make or reschedule an appointment are extremely painful. I can not count the # of times I have called this office, only to be immediately put on hold and then forgotten. I typically have to hang up and call again. It can take 2-3 calls to finally get someone to help you. Even worse, you finally get to speak with someone only to be put on hold AGAIN due to some other distraction. We recently switched to Dr Serena Tan, having taken our baby to a different pediatrician for her first year. The previous doctor was just fine - he did absolutely nothing wrong, but I just didn't get a good sense of engagement from him. Like, he was "ticking the boxes" at each visit but not really going any further than that. I chewed over it for several weeks, and was about to switch to a new practice, on the recommendation of friends. However, one day when my daughter was sick, her own doctor was not available so we saw Dr Tan instead, within the same practice (Los Gatos Pediatrics). Dr Tan is WONDERFUL. She is so interactive, loving and engaging with the baby. Isabella loves her! And she talks me through everything, explaining each issue and each step as we go along. She even drew a litle diagram on a paper towel! The next day, after that first visit, she personally called me to see how the baby was doing. So, I decided to stay with the practice but switch to Dr Tan. I am so happy with this outcome. I cannot recommend her highly enough. read more

If I could I would give 10 stars. Dr. Pearlman is the third pediatrician that we have tried since my son was born about 4 years ago. He is a lovely person and an amazing doctor. My son has food allergies and I have become quite anxious as a result. From the first meeting with him my stress level dropped rapidly. He is knowledgeable and attentive. And not at all judgmental. He spends a great deal of time listening and never leaves the office in a hurry. I am really happy with the staff also. I always get a phone call back right away and they have a very knowledgeable staff. At 3, my son started having night terrors. The nurse who helped me on the phone knew a lot about the issue and really put my mind at ease. The office is clean and we have never waited more than 10 minutes to see Dr. Pearlman. read more
