The staff was friendly and helpful, quickly opening glass cases when I wanted to see something. Their inventory is so large I found it difficult to see everything in one visit. Their prices are reasonable. I ended up buying some California pottery, a framed floral print, and an MCM trinket dish. I'm looking forward to returning and taking another look around the store. There is a parking lot in the back of the building. Note: Some vendors have modern items mixed in with their antiques. A quick Google image search before you buy is a good idea if you care about the age of an item.

His area was located to the back of the Montebello Road Antique Store (he has some pieces at the front of the store as well, from bones to wet specimens, etc). If you like vintage smalls, this is the place for you. They have lots of costume and sterling silver jewelry, glassware, ceramics, linens, toys, and just random treasures. The shop is so packed I had to go around twice to make sure I didn't miss anything. The two ladies working there this afternoon were friendly and helpful. They cheerfully unlocked the glass cabinets when I wanted to see something and there was never any pressure to buy. I learned the shop has been there for 44 years. I really wanted to support this small local business, so I bought a green Buddha statue for a shelf at home that needed refreshing. I'm happy with my purchase and I hope this shop is around for many more years.

I think you will be pleased with the outcome, provided that you don't expect this is Nordstrom's in terms of service. Just remember that you are there to get the work done well at a good price. Don't expect: friendly greeting, to be called when your piece is done, any kind of chit chat. You may even feel that they are being downright rude. Just ignore that --they are old school woodworkers. I'd say, support your local craftsman and go to the mall if you want someone to treat you like a customer. My work was very good and they seem like salt of the earth folks.
