I have been a customer for years and in the last two times Ive been through things have been off. The back garden seems gutted and one of the more unique vendors has shut down her booth. Not to mention the lady at the counter smelled like alcohol. I was with my friend and her daughter and even the teen noticed. It's one thing to have a light beer or a small glass of wine at lunch, but this was a good bit more. The soul of this place has changed and I won't be back. IMHO This place is HUGE!!! Trust me, you'll want to give yourself time to peruse the whole building and outdoor area for hidden treasures. There are many consignment booths to wander through chock full of vintage and antique goodies. It's like walking around in the past. You'll have a smile on your face as you go down memory lane. I was looking around for garden decorations specifically. Sadly, I didn't see anything that I had to bring home, but it sure was fun looking. Montebello Road is an eclectic vintage shop that is massive. The interior has multiple knocks and crannies to explore with fun displays around every turn. They have a sprawling back patio with additional outdoor and indoor sections full of unique antiques and repurposed items. Very funky vibe. Love their selection of colored glass. It's so fun to explore and they're staff is very cool and interesting to chat with. Definitely added to my rotation of must see vintage and antique shops. read more

We were driving by and my son and his family wanted to stop. I personally am not to interested in antiques,but my son is. The store had a wide variety of different themes.(Clothes, holiday item, furniture,knick knacks,). The people working there were extremely helpful, explaining items, opening cabinets. As I'm not a expert the prices seemed a little high. But I assume thats how they stay in business. They did have one item that made my day. I took a picture to remember it. read more

A wonderfully curated and fun antique shop. The shop consists of the main building and a backyard area with additional shops in small rooms built out around the back of the property; make sure to check these out as there are some very unique shops! The vendors and people who work there are fantastic and know the shop so well. I went in looking for hardware and while I didn't find what I was looking for in this trip, they were kind enough to recommend other local shops that might have what I was looking for. This is always a must stop for me when I need something new for my 110 year old home! read more

I really love this store! They have a lot of variety on the selection they carry. I also think they prioritize brining in pieces that tell a story. I have been to store that really are trying to sell things as vintage that I don't think would truly qualify. The staff is incredibly friendly and also seem very knowledgeable. The price really depends on the item you are drawn to. I have gotten some excellent deals and then had to pass on other items because it was out of my price range. I had no idea this place existed! It's huge and with so many things to look at. It's large enough to social distance but everytime I've been inside it's pretty empty, maybe 5-6 people at a time. I have been looking for some plant pots and my friend suggested checking out antique/consignment shops for a variety of unique planters. The backyard is huge with extra little rooms to explore! I was able to find a couple different pots, small but vintage for a fair price. It's like going to a museum! The place is clean and has an assortment of treasures for everyone. Honestly, when I look at this place I feel like it's organized. It doesn't feel too much like a hoarders nest on TLC but more of a grandma/grandpa got too much sh*#$& in the garage kind of a feel. Things are not just thrown about but placed where they are more relevant. I don't understand how you can keep the dust at bay in a place like this. All I know is I thoroughly enjoyed this treasure box and hope to visit it more often! read more

An odd, little antique store you'd expect to see in Old Town Orange (if you know the area). It's weird to think that stuff from my childhood is antique (you don't regularly see the Tweety Bird glasses McDonald's gave out in the 70s on Roadshow). It's part funk, part junk, part punk, and part gunk. (If that doesn't earn me Yelp Review of the Week, I don't know what will). I don't know if it is worth a long drive, but it's worth a stop, especially if your out-of-town friends want the anti-Santana Row experience. read more

Wife and I finally stopped by, and wow it's really cool and A LOT bigger than we expected. There's even a large patio out back with even more spaces full of antiques, each with their own theme. The man working the front desk greeted us and let us know a little bit about the place since it was our first time--apparently it's a collective with a bunch of different owners who each have their own space and curate their own selection...and you can definitely tell as you walk around and see how each and every nook and cranny has its own vibe/theme. It's a bit overwhelming as there's so much to see, but that's part of the fun. We didn't have much time and we weren't looking for anything particular (outside of wanting to find cool vintage cocktail glassware), so we kinda rushed our way through the store, out back, and back through. What a fun store. My kids and I have been meaning to check this place out and finally tonight we were enticed with the Santa guy standing in the front door. My son got an antique Joseph Conrad book, one of his early works. Lots of toys here and other odds and ends like vintage dining items and jewley and even some vintage Christmas decorations. As a woman of color, I was a tad hesitant when I read a couple of reviews of how other POC were treated, but this had popped up on a random drive and my curiousity won out, so I stopped in. Very glad I did! I was treated with nothing but respect and patience by the owners. The selection of items was top-notch! The layout of the store (including the two spaces in the back) was excellent - it did not feel cluttered at all, and I appreciated how it was similar to shopping in an upscale flea market. I also thought the prices were fantastic and very fair. In the end, I bought home a silver tray and gorgeously unusual necklace, as well as an 1880s NY railroad map for my Dad. I enjoyed this shop so much that I would prefer to shop here again vs Antiques Row on San Carlos. Perfect place to shop for a present for your friends and family, especially those with a vintage taste and a taste for nostalgia. They got everything from garden decor to vintage typewriters, even hardware. A definite return visit will be needed. Very good use of space (I went to the store when it was a military surplus) and excellent customer service. Bring a jacket, there's a slight draft and some neat stuff in the back open air area that you might want to check out. Perfect timing too, Christmas is around the corner. A nice store front for this area! They take both card and cash and have no public restroom or posted store hours. We found a sweet metal garden goat for our parents' sanctuary. read more

I came in here recently after seeing the store promoted by someone on instagram. Yes, I used to drive by this place all the time and never bothered to stop in. I had a free afternoon and thought I'd drive down to check it out. It's modest from the outside but entering the store is like entering a fantasy of vintage collectibles. The vendors have their booths beautifully displayed and there is an outdoor area with beautifully curated little sheds filled with more treasures to find. Some items are expensive but I don't think the prices are higher than other vintage antique stores. I left with a glass to add to me growing collection. If you're in the area or just driving by, I recommend stopping in. There's something for everyone! read more

My sister in law introduced me to this hidden gem in Campbell. It's really hard to properly describe Montebello Road, it's best to see for your self. I can tell you that the owners have curated the most interesting, memory triggering, assortment of antiques, curiosities, and some, flat out, eyebrow raisers (be sure to see the Odd Frank section). The inventory cycles nicely so each time I have been there I see new stuff. The entire staff is very friendly. I love vintage and antique shops. The problem with most of them is that, unless you're hunting for something specific, if you've walked through one, you've more or less walked through all of them. Montebello Road is not your parents antique shop! I've visited MR 4 times and come away with a vintage german cat hand puppet as a wedding present for a couple who have a lot of cat jokes, and a gorgeous gold leaf ornate mirror to compliment the crystal chandelier in our New Orleans style livingroom. We get compliments on it all the time. Montebello Road is quirky and unique. They actually revel in odd, interesting, and unique antiquities, as well as old stuff repurposed. Their staff is always warm and friendly and engaged, as well as knowledgeable; a refreshing change from the stale, same approach of the more familiar shops lining West San Carlos. MR is absolutely my first option now when I have an idea in my head about how to liven up my place, or find something cool and special that will let someone know that I really appreciate them when they open their gift from me. read more

We got to talking and you can really tell that they are great people. In this era of chains and big box stores, I feel fortunate to be able to support a local business owner (especially when they are as nice as Robin and her daughter). This place is like a vacation for me. An hour browsing and I'm ready to conquer the world. It's the MOST curated and aesthetically pleasing antique and vintage shop I have been in. I first found out about their shop when I attended goat Hill fair in Watsonville. I couldn't believe that they were opening up in Campbell. I had found some very cool vintage toy trucks at their booth for my sons room. I returned recently and got some vintage baseball cards unopened with the bubblegum still in them and a cool vintage fire truck for my brother's 40th birthday. He was thrilled to receive stuff from his childhood. I recently went back with my two kids who are very well behaved and they were able to ask questions and receive input from one of the knife collectors. Then on the way out the sweet lady upfront show my kids how the Disneyland machine worked. That in it self is worth the trip there. Very fun! read more
