My office is doing an Alice in Wonderland theme with Christmas and I was looking for a teacup and saucer. This store had quite a bit to choose from. Phil was quite helpful and the prices are a bargain for the antique. The teacup and saucer I bought had 24K gold painted lines. I browsed the rest of the store out of wonderment to see what other hidden treasures were preserved over the decades. He showed me dishware made of uranium. They glowed green under the light. He explained the dishware were made in 1888. After they learned uranium was dangerous, no more dishware were made. Whatever you find will only be for collection purposes. He has a good amount well kept as pictured along with other blast from the past cameras for the photographer aficionado. Stop by and see if you find something worthy for your taste in decorating, staging and collecting. read more

I stopped in as I was hunting for glass cabinet knobs to use in my home renovation. Phil kindly directed me to a box and chatted me up as I dug through their selection. He is a truly wonderful individual and made my shopping experience even more delightful. I was able to find some gorgeous glass knobs and after taking them home to clean up, am so excited to install them! As a surprise bonus, they have a small selection of uranium glass and I was able to pick up a beautiful set of coupes to add to my collection. This was probably the smallest antique shop I visited that day, but is also the one where I found the most items! This shop is about half a block over and slightly apart from antiques colony but is definitely worth a stop. Hopefully Phil will be working and you'll be as charmed by him and his father's shop as I was! read more

AAA Rating !! This is the gem of a Antique shop you always wish to run across. Kinda of hidden gem. It's real and been in the same place for years. I simply LOVE treasure hunting here, and have spent hours !looking and talking with the proprietors. I not only shop but have also sold a few antiques and traded on a occasion. I purchased an antique table and chairs from Phill on Facebook marketplace. He was prompt in his responses and was very kind. When me and my partner picked up the table it was in good condition, there was some wear on the chairs which was to be expected. First time here and I'm already in love. Philip (owner's son) was so kind and knowledgeable about antiques. I fell in love with a pair of sunglasses that were stuck at the bottom of a rotating display and he patiently fished them out for me with a pair of long surgical scissors and then gave me a discount on them. My partner Caleb and I had only planned to be there for a short amount of time, but we stayed for close to an hour and a half because there was so much great stuff and Philip was so personable with lots of entertaining stories to tell. Nice shop, great mix of furniture, textiles, jewelry, art and collectibles. I was on the hunt for Taxco vintage jewelry or Native American sterling items. Not a huge amount this style jewelry to look at, but I did find two pendants that I fell in love with that were a good deal. The gentleman working the cases opened several for me, was very sweet and patient. Will definitely stop by again when traveling to San Jose. read more

I was on the hunt for something unique and special that spoke to me. Lost lots of jewelry in a fire and starting over. Found Tony's shop and had a great time as well as finding 2 unique pieces of jewelry. I was greeted when I walked in which many other places don't do. Tony was kind, helpful and the prices were reasonable. Then ventured to the other 2 antique shops doors away. No comparison. Not greeted nothing special and didn't feel drawn to anything. A hidden gem in San Jose. A plethora of vintage finds. This store has the best selection of vintage film cameras in San Jose. Philip was kind enough to let my boyfriend & I handle some of the cameras. He is a great conversationalist & we felt so welcomed right when we walked into the store. Gosh where do I begin? My husband and I are on vacation and wanted to browse old vintage items and had gone to a few antique stores in the area. We were looking for a very unique style and he talked to us for a while to find out what we wanted and was able to guide us to exactly to what we were looking for. His prices were very reasonable. I just happened to walk in and find the most amazing piece that was calling my name. (A table that had been re-purposed from a wood-burning stove, I'd guess....? I'd love to share a picture, it's just beautiful.) It hadn't been marked with a price, and as I waited to hear what the damage would be (because I knew I had to have it) - I was imagining it would be several hundred dollars .... turns out it was too big for the space and the owner was happy to have me take it off his hands for $45. $45. I seriously thought he forgot a zero at the end. LOVE, love, love this piece - and this place. I'll be a return customer for sure. read more

Such a hidden gem! :) I was out to lunch with a friend and we happened to try the pho place next door to this shop. As soon as we saw it we decided to check it out after lunch, I am in the market for a typewriter so I figured it was worth checking :) There was all kinds of great stuff- beautiful cross pendants, pocket watches both male and female, a whole tub full of little antique tea spoons! And I asked about a typewriter, not really expecting to find a viable option- but I did!! He had almost the exact one I was looking at on ebay for a comprable price, and an even more rare company! Perfect!! And Tony, the owner, is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, really a lucky find! You can tell just from reading his bio on Yelp that he is very passionate about what he does! I go all over California looking at antique shops...this is the best shop I have ever been to..this place is like buying iteams directly from a Museum they are so rare!!! Not only is the owner so nice and knolegeable but he has iteams I have never seen before...unique, old and beautiful!! Dont under estimate the size of the shop.it seems small from the outside but..its any worth any drive if you like antiques...I might come here once a month! He just doesnt sell them he truly loves what he has because he doesnt buy junk...these are amazing peices!! And well priced...I walked out loving every piece and didnt feel ripped off!
