Today was our first time at Los Jefes for my son's hair cut. Angel was his barber and he did an immaculate job. The precision he used to make sure everything was even and lined up was unlike anything we've experienced before and my son has had a handful of barbers in the past. Our last barber in Snohomish is moving so we thought to try something closer to home. I'm so glad we found such a quality place. The shop is clean. Smells good. And the barbers are friendly. I would guess it's geared more toward adult men, however the barber had the booster seat for my son, and there was also another young boy getting his hair cut there as well. To all the moms, this is the spot for a good boy's and men's cute. Lastly, we were a walk in appointment and were helped right away. This was a Thursday afternoon. 3 other men were getting hair cuts while I was there and the other younger boy as I mentioned above. Very chill and nice vibe. Ample sitting for waiting with music playing and staff being engaging. First time trying out this place as I'm new to the area. I requested a same day appt thru their application and was able to get it within 30-45 mins. Pretty fast and easy. Every one was busy and atmosphere high paced. Parking can be challenging close to the location during busy times but not impossible. Coffee and tea provided at the waiting area. Moderately priced but the guys really take their time with each customer. I was able to explain my needs to Eric and he was able to fulfill the vision. Have been here twice now and it's appointment system is not guaranteed or predictable. Both times still had to wait. Also, made appointment for a $30 hair cut and they charged me $40. Cut was good but would never return due to not respecting appointment time and charging more for the haircut. $47 for a 10 yr olds hair cut is spendy not to mention they never apologized for making us wait and were actually kinda rude. TBH as a patron going there Spanish speaking is a plus. In general this place deserves a 5'stars because they do have highly skilled barbers & they provide charity back to our community through "haircut" programs for kids in need. My husband & son have been going there for many many years even through the pandemic. One of the barbers used to come to our house & cut my husband's hair. They've been around this long for a reason, because they have consistently kept highly talented barbers who understand styles. Joe spent a lot of time (45 minutes per kid - 12 and 9 so they can hold still!) making sure the cut was right. I've had haircuts with two barbers here and the haircut really is very good. Just be aware, no one really wears masks. If that's important to you, maybe choose a different spot. read more

When I get there signs for everywhere "CASH ONLY" ( yes today at end of 2019 cash only ) anyway I told to him sorry I don't have cash I will need to go to get cash. I called Jefes around 5pm requesting an appointment. They said they do not do appointments, only walk-ins (which is super weird) and there's a 2 hour wait ahead of me and to head in at 7pm. I arrive at 6:50pm and they ask me if I made an appointment... I said no and they said they're booked out till Monday. Which was a comb-over. pros: fast pace service, haircut is cut precisely and according cons: non efficient haircut, distracted when cutting hair, better maintaining customer's liking and desire. read more

These guys are making a great first impression overall. Easily the best barbers in the local area with less than a year in business. Pros: Precision haircuts. Great attention to detail. Good customer service (they offer free waters, sometimes snacks). All the barbers are friendly and skilled. Play area for kids and decent family-friendly music and TV. They allow walk-ins. I would have said great price but see below because things changed. Cons: Slow at times. They have a ticket system but it's not maintained so it's hard to know how long it's going to take. Price changes are a little annoying. I bragged on this place to friends because of the price. It's now $20 like pretty much everywhere else. On Thanksgiving they jacked it up $10 more to $30!! Dudes--Thanksgiving is a SALES time, not a time to price gouge. Should easily become the go-to barbershop in the area no contest if they maintain pricing at the current level and speed up their service. read more

Not entirely sure why I thought the second time around would be any better than the first. Only giving 2 stars because they were willing to fix mistakes after my first trip. Second time I came in while in the middle of my cut the barber said, "I was not prepared for a cut likes yours this morning." Hardly reassuring to hear from the person in control of your hair. Consistency from the first to second cut was quite different, as was the level of attention paid to it. I guess you truly do get what you pay for. Not a pleasant experience. Today was my third time getting a haircut here and I did not like it at all. The first 2 times the guy who cut my hair (the one usually at the far end near the bathrooms, usually wearing a snapback) was really cool and left me with a haircut well worth $20. I loved it both times and he even took pics of it since it looked really clean. This time however, it was so busy I waited more than an hour and a half and unfortunately it wasn't him who cut it- it was a female who seemed new there. I showed her a picture of my last haircut with the guy and she said she could do it. It took no more than 20 minutes and she was done (normally it takes 45-60 mins). She gave me the mirror and I didn't like it. On one side of my hair the fade was uneven and made the front my temples look different than what I usually get. It didn't seem like she understood what I wanted. I didn't want to have her fix it and have to make the other side shorter so I payed for it and even left her a tip as respect. It honestly was nothing hard just I feel she didn't take the time needed, like the other barbers do. Next time I'll just stick to the other guy. read more
