This has to be the Best Mexican restaurant we have had while traveling in a long time! We stop in bowling green either every year or every other year depending on where we stay. We have never found a Mexican restaurant that accommodates to our picky needs and has such a variety of food to choose from. I was shocked that a 24oz beer was under $4 and our waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating. There was four in our group and we had burritos and an assortment of tacos with sides and drinks. We visited this location in March with the family. We ordered our basis; queso, guacamole, fajitas, etc. My wife was happy with her experience as her food came early as usual, etc. My food (steak fajitas) were approximately 15 minutes late coming to the table. They did not show till after 15 minutes my wife got her food. I had never seen anything like this before. Overall, we may give it a 2nd try but at this time, we'll be taking a break from this location. read more

The best thing going for this place was the prices. Very affordable, but the service and food was a little lacking. It took awhile for us to get menus and then from there, the service the rest of the evening was out of sync. We didn't need much - but service that is only taking your order and delivering your check isn't what you'd want. I thought the food was good - but the chicken and steak combo fajitas had practically no meat. There must have been an entire onion and pepper, with 1/3 of a chicken breast and 7-8 bite-size pieces of steak. The house margarita was lacking tequila, too - but I guess that is what $2.50 gets you. We were staying at a nearby hotel and on our way to Qdoba when we saw this place and decided to give it a try. First time coming here as we are from out of town. We were staying at a near by hotel and wanted to try this place. They provide you chips and salsa. We asked for a hotter salsa and were provided some, it had good flavor with some spice. We had a couple of drinks with our tostados and some fried ice cream for dessert. We were in town for 3 days and so glad we found this place. Complimentary salsa = excellent blend & texture. Cheese dip is excellent. The ribeye Chimichanga meal includes thin refied beans, light fluffy rice and a "Mexican salad" (lettuce, pico, guacamole and sour cream....for $10! I cleared my plate, twice haha! My fiancée got the Carnitas, and wowow! Braised then flash fried, the huge chunks of pork pulled apart easily to reveal sight pink meat perfection. This dish is a MUST HAVE and is a huge portion. We tried both the churro and Mexican ice cream dessert and the ridiculous fried cheesecake and ice cream. Save room, they are also amazing! $45 meal with drinks, best bang for your buck by far. I love a good Mexican restaurant so I had to stop while I was in town. To my surprise the food came out almost immediately after ordering. I ordered the Fajita Jalisco and it was pretty good. However, it was the chips and salsa that left quite the impression on me. The salsa was flavorful and chunky. But the chips....fresh out of the oven, warm, melt in your mouth good. That's hard to find at a Mexican restaurant. I'm used to the cold stale chips that seem like they've been waiting in the back for a customer all day. The waitress was very nice and professional. The menu was huge with many options and specials including kid's menu. I ordered the seafood fajitas (Fajita Del Mar for $14.99) which came loaded with grilled grouper, scallops and shrimp and all the standard fajita trimmings. The grouper was tasty. The meal was so large that it was shareable. My husband had the Monster Burrito ($7.49) which was smothered in a white cream sauce. The burrito was delicious. Our server took great care of us, keeping our glasses full and checking on us frequently. He was a five star server. We were hoping to share the $1.99 flan but we were just too full. We were given our silverware and water by an extraordinarily friendly man. We thought he would be the waiter. Unfortunately, he was not. It appeared our waitress was assigned the entire restaurant. Her hurried and hassled life became contagious. She quickly took our order, left and had anoth very capable man deliver our food. She never checked on us during our meal. We were greeted immediately as we walked in and was seated right away. Friendly staff and our server was quick to take our drink order. We got chips and salsa right away and our drinks were right behind them. We enjoyed the perfectly cooked and crispy chips, they were delicious. The cheese dip we ordered was very flavorful, more so than many I've tasted. The salsa has a different taste to it that I can't put my finger on but it was great. The food was promptly brought to our table. Everyone thought it was delicious. I have to say though I felt mine was a bit too salty. My son had a ground beef burrito and said it tasted so much better than our regular place (in another state). I noticed onion and tomato in his and I'll bet that was why as well as seasoning. Our local one is more plain. He was thrilled (he's 11) I got the quesadilla fajita chicken and husband got same only steak. We were very happy with our meal and experience. After driving 500 miles checking in at La Quinta I wanted to go grab some to go food. So unfortunately I picked this place since it's was right down the road. Got some mixed fajita supreme, suppose to be steak and chicken it was so kinda greasy hamburger meat, the quesadillas was mush with a little salad instead of beans and rice as what was on the menu.
