I had driven by the other day and saw a sign outside advertising a lunch special. It was very hard to read, so I called and an English speaking man gave me bad information. He said the lunch special was Monday - Friday. It's not. It is Mon - Thurs. We came on a Friday. We asked the waiter and he said no they don't have a lunch special because Cinco de Mayo is next Tuesday. Well, that didn't make any sense. We both wanted a regular sized margarita to have with our lunch and everything on the menu was $7.99 for this size. Then we saw "The Skinny Margarita". It peeked our interest. So we asked several questions about it. The waiter said very quickly, so you both would like a jumbo skinny Margarita!?! My friend started to say yes, but I caught it and said NO. We both will have a regular size skinny margarita on the rocks with salt. We felt like we had been had by this. The waiter was very smooth and slick. Saturday night, 01/17/26, dinner was a wash. We ordered the Texana Fajitas and while the presentation was so colorful and chock full of shrimp, beef, and chicken, it lacked flavor. We haven't had this experience before...seemed like a fluke, but it's made it clear to us that we will need to pick something else next time. This was my 2nd time here and it's hands down a great spot. Value, quality food and great service both times in a casual but fun atmosphere. Huge menu offers anything anyone could want. Overall it's an ok Mexican place if you're into Tex mex - I wouldn't expect lile authentic style food but the food is decent. The first time I went I got the choriwaiian which is like a Hawaiian take on chori pollo I guess. So it was chicken breasts with chorizo shrimp and pineapple with rice and guacamole salad. The chicken was really well done the shrimp was a little bland but overall it's good. The portion was large. The second time I went I got some kind of chicken dish with ham and pineapple and it was similar to what I had the first time and was also good. The meat was a little rubbery this time. My boyfriend got the burrito Rico and the beef had a great seasoning on it. I will say the service is below average rheyre either rude or slow or both. Very inattentive we ran out of drinks both times and food took awhile to come out. Overall most menu items are covered in cheese so it's hard to find something as someone who is lactose intolerant. I saw a table next to me send back their food for incorrect prep both times I came in, so I would not recommend trying to alter what your dish is they will likely ignore the note or miss it. The one thing that was really bad was the beans. Literally the worst refried beans I've had in my entire life. Big no. Overall I think the food is just ok everything considered. I probably wouldn't be back a third time but it's a really popular spot in waynesboro so if you're looking for a big margarita a giant plate of cheesy meaty Mexican this is your spot. read more

At first glance, it seems like a hokey Mexican place, but they really are loaded with authentic Mexican decor, it's a very unique feeling. I had the fajita taco salad, awesome as usual. I'm pretty much guaranteed to love any place with a guac cart. Los Panchos is no exception. I've never had anything less than the best guacamole here. Fresh, chunky, spicy, and prepared to your liking right in front of you. Fiesta lime chicken is my go-to entree. I'm afraid I'm missing out on other amazing options but I just can't pass it up. Chips and salsa were served right when we got seated. The chips were okay, could use a little more salt though. I did the "Make your own combo" and did 3 hard shell tacos with beef with rice and beans. I asked for double rice instead of beans but I still received the beans which is fine, I ate them. I wasn't able to eat the 3rd taco though because their beef was too salty for me, and I love salt. My fiancé got the fiesta lime chicken which he said was fine. The service was wonderful. No air conditioning in the restaurant. It was hot and muggy. The food we order the Brazza soft tacos was a big dish but the corn tortillas smelled funny. Maybe because I had my gallbladder taken out and I have a difficult time with corn oil. But the beans were not what I get in any restaurant I've been to. The rice was under cooked. We have eaten here for dinner twice in the last two weeks. We loved it! The food was superior both evenings! The first night I had the Salmon Salad marked as a new menu item. It was filling and delicious. My husband had the guacamole and tomato salad which he enjoyed very much along with some of my dinner.. Somewhat bland Mexican food. The most striking feature of Los Panchos is a mural in the back of the restaurant depicting several famous actors. It is quite a spectacle and a surprising find in western Virginia, so I would almost recommend Los Panchos for the mural alone. The food is less than stellar however. The guacamole was some of the most bland guacamole that I have ever tried. I ordered the enchiladas ricas for my entree. It was a chore to choke them down. The enchiladas had three different flavors, but each was equally bland. The food I enjoyed most in my experience was the white, semi-sweet dipping sauce for the tortilla chips of which there was an ample amount. It's possible I ordered one of the weaker menu items that Los Panchos offers, but I cannot recommend them in any case. read more

We went back to this place recently and had a poor experience. They didn't come serve us for a while because we were put back in a corner and they kept missing our refills on our drinks. We ordered table side guacamole and they didn't come until we were almost finished eating.
