A small but very clean and welcoming restaurant hidden in Staunton VA. The Mexican theme is painted in vivid colors of the interior. Service was excellent- our server was always checking on us and brought everything as per our orders. The food is fresh and in big amounts. We don't usually leave much for takeaway but here we had to pack 2 of our entrees. Also, as per my husband - the sweet tea at this restaurant tasted the best among all the restaurants that we have been during this trip so far (and we visited about 8-9 restaurants already). Prices are very reasonable - 3 entrees (burrito, taco salad and beef fajitas) and 2 soft drinks total was 45$. Smiles on faces of everyone in the restaurant- all free. :)

i went during lunch around 12:30 es I order two Mexican cokes with lime of course you get chips and salsa for free first serve at most Mexican restaurants I got me chorizo quesadilla and chicken fajitas lunch size of course the the sides rice refried beans and guacamole everything was delicious quick and affordable my meal came out as 14.00 teh quesdilla was free but I tell the guy he forgot to charge me for it so it 19.05 at the end but I am a honest person I don't want them to lose money I know people would keep their mouth shut in that situation but I beleive in good karma I I gave my tip on card and left happy I even fill out a job application to be a line cook there hopefully !

We really wanted to like this place. We were just out doing nothing in particular on a cold sunny day, and when it was time to eat, my mind went to Mexican (it's a favorite), and my fingers came to yelp. I had high hopes from the yelp reviews but were dashed- I ordered the whole fried tilapia, and it came out looking beautiful, but when I went to cut into it, it crumbled like dried pork skins. No flaky fish for me! It was clearly overcooked. When I asked to send it back, the waiter let me know this is how people want it, and that he could ask the kitchen to change it, but there would be no "second time". What came back was better - flaky fish, and I ate it, although it was way too oily. The fish had no flavor, but I did taste the oil. I'm not sure if the oil was too hot or not hot enough, but it was not great. My husband had a special - enchilada, burrito and a taco - all chicken. When I asked him about his meal, I could see his disappointment. Not as good as he'd hoped. The waiter was right, there will be no "second time".

    Margaritas!!

Wow!!! This place is truly fantastic!! From their AMAZING margaritas, HUGE and such a great price....to their fresh and delicious Mexican food, they are an all around "must do!" We had their two of their fabulous burritos filled with fresh grilled meats and shrimp, they were delicious!! We wish we lived closer to come here more often!

Looks like a hole-in-the-wall but tastes like a dream. Freshest Mexican cuisine I've come across in this area! I love everything I've tried there but my favorite is Los Alambres. The sauce is absolutely top notch, I could drink it by the cup. Christie, the main server there, is also great. Super friendly, I always look forward to seeing her!

Very good margarita! Not weak but not too strong

I liked the radish on top of the taco and I liked the choice of salsa. My only complaint is the lime in the green sauce and guacamole. Lime should always, always, be served on the side. It's not appropriate in the food. It's always an add on in Mexican cooking. It's much too overpowering and ruins the flavor of the food. The food should stand on its own. They have two vegetarian tacos, and I rather liked the more "real food" sweet potato and black bean than their tofu taco, but both were delicious. Upon seeing they had a seasonal special salsa; I was glad I took the option to order it as it was delectable and I liked it enough to haul what I didn't use back with me to save for another day. Their rice and beans have a vegetarian option, and given the option for various indulgences, I went for a semisweet chocolate cake, the sprinkles on which were unnecessary but fun. The salt level in something (or everything) was excessive, which had me gulping water. And it's a shame, because they could dial it back and this would still be some quality food.

For my meal, I had the street tacos with both chicken and steak, served with rice and refried beans, along with pickled onions and radish slices. Everything was incredibly flavorful, and the portions were generous for the price. I also tried a collard green and cheese pupusa, which was something new for me since I've only had more traditional ones before. It was absolutely delicious and a unique twist that really paid off. They offer a wide variety of pupusas, so there are plenty of options to choose from if you're a fan or looking to try something different. I chose to sit on the patio, which had a really nice, relaxed ambience. Inside, they also have a bar area with Latin music playing that adds to the overall vibe. Between the delicious food, great atmosphere, and reasonable prices, this spot is definitely worth a visit if you're craving Latin American cuisine.

There was only one person working on the Monday I stopped by, but it was a busy place, and thus not the speediest service. Substantively, I found that my horchata was a strong, nutty beverage. They were out of a tamale that I wanted to order so I just got a bunch of pupusas, including typical options like bean and cheese but also the more distinctive collard greens. They came with an interesting curtido, a lightly pickled cabbage slaw that had a variety of ingredients. Overall, not a 100% smooth experience, but a good way to bring a distinctive flavor to the region.

There were murals on the wall, and other paraphernalia as well. Our server was friendly and attentive, and she was quick to offer refills as well. The cuisine is specifically Sinaloan Mexican, so it is heavily centered around seafood. There were so many unique entrées that I know we're going to have go back and try more stuff. I ordered a shrimp dish ("Camarones al Gusto") with their Diabla sauce. The sauce was very tasty with a medium level of spiciness and a little tang. My mother ordered their Jalapeño Roll, which was a sushi-styled dish. This is the one negative about our meal: she thought the Jalapeño Roll didn't have enough jalapeños and the flavors weren't strong enough. We split fried ice cream for dessert. They have a wide selection of Mexican beers and tequilas. I ordered a Negra Modelo, followed by a Victoria. All in all, I really liked this restaurant, and I look forward to returning.

We show up and end up waiting over an hour for our order. The entire lobby was filled with customers waiting. We were there so long, I almost felt a kinship with the other customers by the end of the ordeal. The next time we go, the rice is barely cooked, it was literally crunchy. Enough said. This brings us to today. I place an order on the mobile app for chips and salsa and burritos. Come to find out they're out of chips. How convenient I've already paid for the chips and am told I can't get a refund or even a voucher to get the bag of chips next time. The girl just says to explain the situation and they'll give me the chips another time. I ask for her name but she would only give me the managers name. We'll see if they honor the bag of chips but at this point, I'm very underwhelmed with this location and will hope for better service once the Waynesboro location opens up.

I then asked the cashier if that scan also attached my rewards number to my order so I'd get points. He said no, I needed to scan my rewards too. So I did. He told me my total, and it seemed a bit high, so I questioned him and asked if my drink was taken off. He said yes. I was still a little hesitant because I knew the total was high, but I went ahead and paid. When I asked for a receipt, he had already crumpled it up and handed it to me that way. When I looked closer, I saw my drink was in fact not taken off. He said he'd need a manager to refund me for the drink. The manager was clearly unhappy with me, one of the least friendly interactions I've had with a manager. She told me that because I scanned my rewards after my free drink reward, it voided the free drink. But again, the employee is the one who told me to scan my rewards, and also told me my drink was taken off. Just an overly frustrating experience. I was given the wrong information by the employee, then made to feel guilty and stupid by the manager on top of it.
