This restaurant is literally 6 miles away and we still hadn't tried them, so we did a "to go" dinner on Mother's Day. The restaurant is clean and festive, with menus full of great meal options. We ordered tacos, which comes with rice and refried beans. The tacos themselves come with just lettuce and cheese, so I had them put sour cream, onions and tomatoes on them as well. A small but very clean and welcoming restaurant hidden in Staunton VA. The Mexican theme is painted in vivid colors of the interior. Service was excellent- our server was always checking on us and brought everything as per our orders. The food is fresh and in big amounts. We don't usually leave much for takeaway but here we had to pack 2 of our entrees. Also, as per my husband - the sweet tea at this restaurant tasted the best among all the restaurants that we have been during this trip so far (and we visited about 8-9 restaurants already). Prices are very reasonable - 3 entrees (burrito, taco salad and beef fajitas) and 2 soft drinks total was 45$. Smiles on faces of everyone in the restaurant- all free. :) read more

i went during lunch around 12:30 es I order two Mexican cokes with lime of course you get chips and salsa for free first serve at most Mexican restaurants I got me chorizo quesadilla and chicken fajitas lunch size of course the the sides rice refried beans and guacamole everything was delicious quick and affordable my meal came out as 14.00 teh quesdilla was free but I tell the guy he forgot to charge me for it so it 19.05 at the end but I am a honest person I don't want them to lose money I know people would keep their mouth shut in that situation but I beleive in good karma I I gave my tip on card and left happy I even fill out a job application to be a line cook there hopefully ! read more

We really wanted to like this place. We were just out doing nothing in particular on a cold sunny day, and when it was time to eat, my mind went to Mexican (it's a favorite), and my fingers came to yelp. I had high hopes from the yelp reviews but were dashed- I ordered the whole fried tilapia, and it came out looking beautiful, but when I went to cut into it, it crumbled like dried pork skins. No flaky fish for me! It was clearly overcooked. When I asked to send it back, the waiter let me know this is how people want it, and that he could ask the kitchen to change it, but there would be no "second time". What came back was better - flaky fish, and I ate it, although it was way too oily. The fish had no flavor, but I did taste the oil. I'm not sure if the oil was too hot or not hot enough, but it was not great. My husband had a special - enchilada, burrito and a taco - all chicken. When I asked him about his meal, I could see his disappointment. Not as good as he'd hoped. The waiter was right, there will be no "second time". read more

We're passing through Staunton on the way north, and I picked out this place based on the yelp profile. The outside is modest but the inside is warm, inviting, and delightfully colorful. We were a bit early for regular dinner time but they seated us cheerfully and the server was very sweet. I had a delightful jalapeño margarita and a vegetarian combo, and my folks had nice dinners too. The entrees were plated very stylishly and the service was attentive and friendly. It was a nice place to grab a satisfying dinner, and the prices were extremely affordable! We commented to each other that in Denver the meal would have been 40% more expensive, but our three dinners, and a specialty marg, all came to less than $50. If we come this way again, I'd definitely argue in favor of a return visit. read more

Looks like a hole-in-the-wall but tastes like a dream. Freshest Mexican cuisine I've come across in this area! I love everything I've tried there but my favorite is Los Alambres. The Los Marquez building used to be the old Tastee Freeze, located beside Gypsy Hill Park. The staff are super friendly, parking is ample, and the food has ALWAYS been delicious and reasonably priced! Actually, on my way there now for their Burrito Loco and Quesadilla Cancun. read more

Food was bland, especially the rice. You'd think a mex restaurant would have better than tasteless, virtually plain rice. The tacos and cheese enchiladas were equally tired and the salsa was uninteresting. The prices were high for the low quality. Too bad, had hoped for some competition to the same old mex restaurants in the area. Admittedly we ordered from DoorDash delivery so will give it another try in-house. read more

Hands down bets Medicean restaurant in Augusta County. The facts I can call it in and pick it up in the drive-thru 5-10 min later is a GAME CHANGER. They have never have messed up my order or forgot anything and everything taste authentic. The prices are a steal for the quality of the food. I live in Greenville, VA I come all the way across town when we want Mexican. I refuse to go anywhere else.
