Coming from a family of Mexican decent, I can confirm that this is truly authentic Mexican food. It has an amazing taste and the staff is friendly. Well. This was always our go to place....however tonight we were eating and my husband tried to do a nice thing and pay for 2 police officers dinner. He paid in cash. Instead of our waitress giving the money to the server waiting on the police officers, she gave it to another server who pocketed the money. How sad. If my husband had not have went to restroom and witnessed the officers giving the waiter credit cards we would not have known the money was not used to pay for the meal!!!! When confronted, the waiter said it was a mistake and gave my husband back the cash. The waiters never apologized for this "mistake". We will not go back there, the integrity of the serving staff tonight left a horrible impression on us!. Again, so sad. read more

We stopped here during the "lunchtime hour" on a Friday. Very clean, staff was friendly and accommodating to all questions and menu adjustments. All dishes were very good. I had the XXL burrito and was very pleased and deduced that I am a glutton upon finishing it. Our party all left very satisfied with our choices and we were back on the road in a very reasonable amount of time. We did not partake of the bar this visit but judging from its patronage it must be good as well. read more

Los Primos needs more reviews, so here's another. If my wife was the one reviewing, you'd see 6 stars up here, because she says it is the greatest Mexican food she's ever had, and she says it with no exaggeration. She ordered a steak that was just out of this world, and the refried beans were the best we've ever had (yes, apparently there are different ways to make refried beans, I was surprised too). My beef tips were also pretty delicious, although I was disappointed that they didn't come with rice and beans. I don't know what it is about east-coast Mexican food that seems to make bean dip and a salsa bar mandatory, but I'm starting to get used to it. read more

All around bad experience. Waiter gave drink and never returned to table. Had to get up and go ask for silverware at the front. By that time, the food was mostly cold. Had to go to the front to pay becuase the waiter never returned- when sign on table says pay there. Lastly, asked for diet coke and was given Pepsi~ YES, I can tell the difference. Food was mediocre. Love this place; it's our favorite Mexican of the several choices in Roane county. And we have tried them all, multiple times. We always return to los primos. But....to each his own. I love the venue, including the colorful booths and decor. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. If we go a while without eating here, they always note that they haven't seen us in a while. Food was very good. Wife had fajitas with all yhe fuxings and I had a steak chimichanga with all the fixings as well, and a beef hard taco. Table came with chips and salsa...food was fresh and more than we could eat. Only negative was place could use a fresh coat of paint and a deep clean. read more

Stopped in Harriman overnight and decided to try Los Primos. Dang that was the best food. The cheese dip is a white cheese and yummy. I got the chicken quesadilla that was smothered in a sauce, zucchini, squash, onions, and mushrooms! WOW! You gotta try it! read more

We are here in Tennessee on Vacation and were looking for a good place to eat. Down the street from our hotel, we found Los Primos. We went in and were welcomed with a smile and an immediate table. Just left this location. We've been here before and the food there is much fresher than other Mexican restaurants we frequent. But tonight!!!! After waiting 30 minutes to be seated. (Not the problem.). We were seated at a dirty table. Hostess returned after seating us to bring chips/salsa and we had to request her to clean the table. She did clean half of the table. I went to server station and took wipe and sanitizer and cleaned remainder of the table. Server took order. No problem till waited 30 minutes for order to be delivered. Food was good . Asked server for check. Waited, no check.......... Finally went to cashier. Carried plate of food needing box. Asked hostess for box. Response" I'm not your server". Told cashier we need to pay but don't have check and are tired of waiting. Cashier made threatening comments regarding our need to pay. Demanded to speak with manager. Manager told me that this is not a fast food restaurant and that we should expect 30 minute cook times. And that our server also had an 18-top. Yes, he did. An 18-top that was finished with their meals. Half of them had left the restaurant. They were done.... We only saw our server 3 x's. When he took our order. When he delivered our meal. When he finally checked back on us and at that time I asked for the check. He did not return with the check for over 5 minutes. We were done. This was a bad experience. My sister and I eat here atleast three times a month! They are amazing! The staff is friendly, and their English is great considering it's an AUTHENTIC MEXICAN RESTAURANT. We usually request the same server, but aren't very picky, because they are all great! The food is amazing and my favorite is the cheese sauce they drizzle on everything! This used to be my favorite place but it has gotten terrible recently. The service is really bad. Sometimes you have to chase someone down to get your order taken. Tonight they brought me the wrong meal then acted like I lied about my order. The manager (I guess he was) laughed at me for complaining. They remade my food but it took forever. Went here with my brother and my mother for some good Mexican food. My brother had the Steak Fajitas; I had a combo plate with a Chili Relleno, Beef Burrito and a Beef Taco with Beans & Rice on the side...my Mom had basically the same thing I had. First let me say the chips and salsa flowed pretty freely and our waiter was very good at keeping them full....the chips were nice and warm and the Salsa was ok but a little too calm for my taste. My brother's Steak Fajitas were big... really big...like a two person meal big...but my brother didn't leave a morsel on his plate...he raved about how fresh it was and how well seasoned it was. My Combo plate was all good and I have to give a special mention to the Chili Relleno as it was one of the best I've had recently. My Mom said her food was also good and she left little on her plate. Over all the food was reason enough to go back and our service was top notch. My only negative comment is that the outside of the restaurant/parking area are in need of a good clean up as there was quite a bit of trash and debris all around. As with most of my reviews I ask myself the question..."would I go to Los Primos again"....and my answer here would be YES!! read more

Terrible ! Dirty restroom. Sticky restaurant floors. Dried salsa on the menus and sticky tables and drink glasses. Needless to say we didn't stay for the food, lol. Do yourself a favor and steer clear. Taco Bell would be 1000 times better. Where's a health inspector when you need one ! read more
