This is one of our absolute favorite Mexican restaurants in the area. The owner is incredible and will come around and say hello and know your family if you go a couple of times. The staff is always super helpful even on those busy chaotic days. This is one of the few Mexican restaurants that has the good white stuff. IYKYK. My husband recently changed his order from the regular burrito to the Texas cheese dip and make an entire meal out of it with an extra side of tortillas. I'm pretty generic but I will go back-and-forth between regular beef tacos and fajitas, but they do have a really good soup. If you're craving Mexican, definitely stop in. read more

Came here after spending a couple of hours selling Girl Scout cookies outside the restaurant... For Saturday night dinner the place was packed. For my daughter and I we were able to snag a table after waiting about 10 mins. My daughter ordered the shredded chicken quesadilla.. it was a good size portion with lots of chicken inside. Her only complaint was that the dish was greasy... I went with the Chicken Fajitas. They were good as well. The chicken has a lot of oil in the pan which also made this dish very oily. The chicken was bland in flavor.. but they gave a lot of chicken for 1 person. The white sauce with the chips was the best. A few reviews say it was spicy.. but didn't taste any spice at all. The biggest complaint would be the ambience... it was very noisy and hard to hear someone talking to you. As well, for a Mexican restaurant, I didn't hear any music playing. Very good Taco Tuesday specials but it will be packed for dinner! The white dip is good and a little bit spicy (more spicy than other Mexican restaurants in the area). The majority of the other dinner options are what you would fine at other Mexican restaurants but they have a couple different items like a baked potato with chicken, and the option of scallops in enchiladas. The table side guacamole is a MUST try! The large margaritas are LARGE- 7/10 for jalapeño margarita, I wish the jalapeño was muddled a bit to really bring out the flavors of the pepper. I would also suggest a jalapeño infused tequila to take the taste from a 7 to a 9 or 10. read more

Nacho Grande Mexican Restaurant (NGMR) is conveniently located in the Hanbury Village Shopping Center (same one as Harris Teeter). We've been to NGMR a few times and I would say it does the job when we're in the mood a quick Mexican food fix. - Vibe - It's spacious and clean. Decor is pretty standard, but one thing I love are the paintings of the Dia de los muertos face paintings. They are absolutely gorgeous. I would have taken a pic for ya, but people were in the way LOL...maybe next time! - Service - Each visit, the staff have been nice and attentive. - Eats - My husband's go-to is mostly the Fire Fighter Burrito, but he'll go for any burrito and he enjoys them enough to keep going back. I've had the Taco Loco Salad and the Lunch Fajitas. The meat is usually cooked pretty well done so it can be a bit tough. In the Fajita plate, it arrives sizzling so it keeps cooking for a bit, but everything is made to order and the sides arrive fresh and/or hot. One of my go-tos at most Mexican restaurants are Fajitas because I can just basically make a taco however I want, but with the plate of meat, all the sides and the tortillas, the portion is always too much for me to eat it on my own. I usually have to pack most of it to go. The Lunch Fajitas is a smaller portion (and honestly it was still too much for me), but it was great to have this smaller option for lunch and less to pack to take home. - Kids - They have a Kid's menu and it's a mix of Mexican and American food items. I just had to leave a review because my girlfriend wanted to come here for her birthday. I snuck away and asked if they could sing for her. The girl I asked came over minutes later with the sombrero and an ice cream and said "here y'all can have this to take pictures but everyone is too busy to sing right now." ... I know that may seem silly, but it just comes off as "we don't care it's your birthday even though you chose our restaurant for a birthday dinner." Girls lunch today. Haven't been to Nacho grande in quite a while. It seems like things have changed! We really enjoyed the chips and dip. The white sauce had a sweet hint, and the red was different from all other Mexican restaurants it was delicious a big taste of spicy. We both ordered from the lunch Menu #9 two tacos and rice. One order was changed to soft tacos and the other was changed to chicken with soft tacos. They definitely gave a good proportion inside the taco along with the rice. I was full after one taco. Flavors were great. Came out fast and hot. I will like to return and try different items. We went around 11:40 it was empty and quite. And extremely clean. Where do I begin?! Who doesn't love the ambience at a Mexican restaurant? It's always relaxed and enjoyable. The food here has been quick, delicious and consistent each visit. I've visited frequently and have had wonderful service regardless of the hour. I first visited on cinco de mayo..extremely busy but the food was delicious and the owner was so sweet! I've also visited on a Monday afternoon multiple times for lunch and all the same. I know there's a few Los Primos, but I go to this specific location every time. First time here, had to try it since it's not far from me & I LOVE Mexican. The lady who greeted us didn't seem to be happy at work, she was not very friendly. It was not busy when we came, there was probably 2 others tables occupied. The chips and salsa are probably the worst ones I've had, very bland. So we didn't even eat those and usually those are gone by the time we get our entrees. I ordered the 3 soft chicken tacos & they were average, it was like chunks of chicken pieces, some lettuce and tons of cheese. Also ordered the fried ice cream which was ok. I've never had fried ice cream but the "fried part" that was on top of the ice cream seemed stale. The waitress was also on her phone while she gave us our check lol. I probably won't eat here again, food & service was very disappointing. I wasn't expecting the most authentic Mexican food but I've definitely had better tacos else where. read more

We just moved right around the corner from this restaurant and after two months of driving past it, we decided to give it a try. It seems like it's always busy which is a good sign. We were seated immediately chips and salsa brought immediately to our table, as well. Our drink order was taken shortly after that. The menu is a little extensive so we had a hard time deciding what to order, ultimately my husband decided on the dinner chimichanga and I chose the Cancun special. You can see from the pictures the meal looked great and tasted just as great, very fresh and full of authentic flavors. The service was great the atmosphere was great, we definitely will be back. Wow, after changing owners the quality of the food and service has really gone up! Tuesday evening quite crowded. Then we saw rhe sign "taco Tuesday" 99 cents each. Wife ordered her regular taco salad. She rated it very good, and nicely spiced. I had the Fajita steak taco salad with a Margareta on the rocks. Although the Margareta tasted like it came from a mix, it was very good. The fajita taco salad was fantastic. I need to comment about the salsa and white sauce. Salsa was tasty and hot enough that I didn't need to add any hotsauce. Wife insisted that I try the white sauce..... It was a bit heavy on the mayonnaise, but seasoned well with a bit of a kick. Hubby ordered the #3 ( Chile relleno, enchilada, taco, rice and beans). He also ordered a mushroom quesadilla. I ordered an enchilada supreme which consisted of 4 enchiladas. ( cheese, beef, bean, & chicken) It was good. To be honest, it wasn't over the moon spectacular, but good. The service was very good. The restaurant was clean. The prices were decent. I am use to taquitos being tightly wrapped, crunchy and smothered in guacamole, chopped tomatoes and cheese. I ordered the enchiladas poblanas as well as a strawberry mojito. The mojito was refreshing with the nice weather we were having. The mole sauce was a tad salty for me but overall I liked the flavor. We've spent a lot of money here in the last few months. Tonight, we ordered food and received the "free chips and salsa" that come with every meal. However, we purchased extra white and red sauce. It was missing from the order, my fiancé went in to get it and they argued that we received our full order. We. Did. Not. So, instead of giving us the $2 of salsa we purchased, they'd rather lose a loyal customer. Three Amigos and Los Primos will get our money from now on (they have better food and customer service anyway) and I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone in the future. There are several Mexican restaurants within a close proximity to us here in Great Bridge. In my opinion, Nacho Grande is the best. The food is good, the service is EXCELLENT, and the atmosphere is very family-friendly. I've tried most of the items on the menu, and have been rarely disappointed. Good draft beer specials during happy hour, and my wife is addicted to the Nachorita, the restaurant's signature margarita. I highly recommend this restaurant, we will continue to drive past other Mexican restaurants to go eat at Nacho Grande. read more

We both had lunch combos. The lunch portions were just right and the food was delicious. SO much better than other mexican restaurants in the area.
