When you enter, the place is very clean and tidy. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. All of the staff is nice and welcoming. The menu is extensive! So if you have a hard time deciding what you want, you might want to take a look in advance. This is my second time enjoying this establishment. We both had frozen sangria margaritas and they were amazing, especially with how hot this summer has been. I ordered the seafood chimichanga with rice. My coworkers mentioned how good this place was, so my husband & I came to check it out for taco Tuesday. We sat outside since the weather was nice. After being seated they brought us out some fresh chips and salsa. The salsa was some of the best I've had!! Super fresh and a little chunkiness to it. The menu was full of yummy options. We chose to do pick 3 combos. I got a beef tostada, chicken taco & tamale with rice & beans. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the beef on the tostada was seasoned!! While I don't do sour cream, I scrapped it off and enjoyed it. I had asked for some house hot sauce, habanero which added a great kick!! The chicken taco was seasoned just as well! The tamale was ok, a little thicker than I prefer. My husband really enjoyed his taco, chalupa and tamale. We definitely will be back to try different items!! read more

I'm surprised it took me so long to try El Puente! We have lived in the Deep Creek area for 3 years. We get take out from here frequently now and I would say the food is very good, but it's the fast service and friendly faces that keep me returning. Good service is hard to find these days. First visit and it did not disappoint. We had no expectations except for a nice meal at a nice price. They have outdoor seating for when the weather turns nice that's a plus. Inside was neat clean and friendly. We received a warm and friendly welcome when we entered and that set the pace for a nice visit. The food was good as well as the service. First off the location is excellent for Deep Creek, and sitting outside was nice and the patio is covered by sails. Service was good the staff was very friendly and the place is clean. We went for lunch the place was packed with locals. If you grew up eating Mexican food daily skip to the second paragraph The menu has lots of options. They make guacamole at your table and you get to choose the ingredients, the avocado were good. The burritos are smothered with cheese and sour cream, your going to need a fork. The tacos are ok nothing fancy the rice and beans are also good. The portions are large, with standard chips and mild salsa at your table. Try the horchata. The corn tortillas are low quality, I don't think they are made there but I could not pick up the taco, no onions cilantro no lime with my taco. There was pico but not that good. And the carne asada was dry. We also had a carne asada burrito but you could not pick it up it was wet with sour cream, it was supposed to come with melted cheese we ordered it with out. It also had melted cheese inside, we had to eat it with a fork and then it fell apart. The guacamole was okay, my tacos came with a separate salsa not good, so we had mild table salsa and the other one. The rice had peas and carrots? Not a fan. I don't think I'll go back. read more

We ordered food to go from their app. It was ready in about 15 minutes so if you plan on picking up don't trust the 30 minutes it automatically says! Unfortunately the chips were super stale. I think they had been refried (or were packed yesterday when hot) but it didn't stop them from being gross. It cost them a star. Luckily we had tortilla chips at home. The salsa was good but too much cilantro for my husband's taste. He had the chimichanga lunch special and says it was ok but he's had better. I had the burrito Mexicanos and it was very good. Cheese dip was classic cheese dip, delicious. Guacamole was really good. Tomatillo sauce on the burrito was fantastic. We will definitely try them again. Prices were reasonable for a lunch special and giant burrito. I still have half of the burrito left. read more

This was my first visit and I went with someone who goes all the time, so I thought it would be a safe bet. Not quite! My friend and I ordered the lunch steak fajitas with rice as a side, and the steak was very dry and served at room temperature; they were not even hot. The corn tortillas were fair; they seemed to have too much of a flour texture to them. The rice had corn and carrots in it which seemed like an odd choice, and it was very bland. I took one bite and immediately wanted to spit it out, and I didn't eat any more of it. My friend did the same thing; she wasn't a fan of the rice at all. Our other friend ordered a burrito and a tamale and seemed to be happy with the choice, and even ordered something to go for her spouse at home. Needless to say I was surprised, but then again she is the one who eats here regularly. On a positive note, the restaurant is very new and had great ambiance and cleanliness. This is their second location the other one is located on Taylor Rd. in Chesapeake. The service was fast and attentive. The restaurant has a full bar and lunch specials. They created an outdoor area, no chairs or tables yet. The portions are good for the price. First time going here to eat. I had a grilled shrimp & chicken salad (El Puente salad). My 8yr old had the kids chicken fingers & fries. Her tenders were tasty, I always try her food, fries were fresh. We shared the dessert churros with ice cream, very tasty. It's a bit of a pain to get to this location if you live on the west side of Moses Granby Trail due to the bridge traffic. So we usually take our bicycles or walk to the shops. read more

There are four Mexican joints near me. I drive pat two of them to come here. The food is just as good as the other places I can go. It's mexican, what else Is there to say. They have the same beers as the other places. There margarita selection is better and better made. What sets this place apart is the service. Every time I have been here the service has been amazing. They are very attentive and very friendly. Drinks stayed full, the chips stay full, and I have never felt rushed. The restaurant is very clean. I love the grey and simple decor. read more

Really like vibe and color scheme of the restaurant. We were welcomed immediately and our party of 7 was seating very quickly.
