First visit and it did not disappoint. We had no expectations except for a nice meal at a nice price. They have outdoor seating for when the weather turns nice that's a plus. Inside was neat clean and friendly. We received a warm and friendly welcome when we entered and that set the pace for a nice visit. The food was good as well as the service. They also have a nice margarita. We will be back. Also, it appears to be appropriately named as El Puente means the bridge which is nearby.

First off the location is excellent for Deep Creek, and sitting outside was nice and the patio is covered by sails. Service was good the staff was very friendly and the place is clean. We went for lunch the place was packed with locals. If you grew up eating Mexican food daily skip to the second paragraph The menu has lots of options. They make guacamole at your table and you get to choose the ingredients, the avocado were good. The burritos are smothered with cheese and sour cream, your going to need a fork. The tacos are ok nothing fancy the rice and beans are also good. The portions are large, with standard chips and mild salsa at your table. Try the horchata. The corn tortillas are low quality, I don't think they are made there but I could not pick up the taco, no onions cilantro no lime with my taco. There was pico but not that good. And the carne asada was dry. We also had a carne asada burrito but you could not pick it up it was wet with sour cream, it was supposed to come with melted cheese we ordered it with out. It also had melted cheese inside, we had to eat it with a fork and then it fell apart. The guacamole was okay, my tacos came with a separate salsa not good, so we had mild table salsa and the other one. The rice had peas and carrots? Not a fan. I don't think I'll go back.

Amazing service, great food, good atmosphere. My wife and I frequent this place. We are never disappointed. It's our go to Mexican spot.

Food was good and the service was GREAT. I was a fan of the salsa. It was just the right spice without being overly hot.

This is their second location the other one is located on Taylor Rd. in Chesapeake. The service was fast and attentive. The restaurant has a full bar and lunch specials. They created an outdoor area, no chairs or tables yet. The portions are good for the price. First time going here to eat. I had a grilled shrimp & chicken salad (El Puente salad). My 8yr old had the kids chicken fingers & fries. Her tenders were tasty, I always try her food, fries were fresh. We shared the dessert churros with ice cream, very tasty. It's a bit of a pain to get to this location if you live on the west side of Moses Granby Trail due to the bridge traffic. So we usually take our bicycles or walk to the shops.

Horchata in a giant glass. It's super tasty and refreshing

Great service. Good food. Clean restaurant. Good lunch specials. I had the burrito lunch. Chips and salsa need improvement.

BANGIN food. Birria tacos were delicious. Salsa is by far my favorite in the area. Will be eating here more often.

The staff is always welcoming here, and one of the things we appreciate most is the consistency. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, the food is reliably fresh, flavorful, and served with a smile. After a rather indulgent lunch, we decided to keep dinner light and split the Chicken Taco Salad along with a small quesadilla. The taco salad arrived in a crisp tortilla bowl piled high with seasoned chicken, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and plenty of melted cheese. The quesadilla was nicely toasted with tender chicken and gooey cheese, while the creamy refried beans rounded out the meal perfectly. Everything was simple, satisfying, and prepared with care. If you're looking for authentic Mexican street food, friendly service, and generous portions at a fair price, La Hacienda continues to deliver. It's the kind of dependable neighborhood restaurant that earns repeat visits, and we'll certainly be back.

The food is DELICIOUS!!! I ordered my usual, Juan's shrimp chimichanga. It also seemed that servers on staff were attentive to customers, both in-house and those waiting for takeout. Even for a smaller dining experience, it's still cozy and enjoyable. I normally have my food delivered, but decided to save a little money and pickup on my way home. However, ordering for pick-up today, it seemed chaotic upon arrival. Staff were calling orders/names, but much of the food sitting was not for anyone there. I placed my order in advance (1:41 p.m.) so it would already be done when I arrived (about a 15-minute drive), but did not receive my food until well after 2:20 p.m. This restaurant on food alone would receive 5-stars from me, but due to today's wait, I'd have to leave it at 4-stars. If I were dining-in, I would not mind waiting for the food, but for a pickup order and my family waiting in the car for an order that was supposed to be ready, it was a bit disappointing. I've seen some restaurants shut down delivery services during peak restaurant service times so they can focus on customers, or vice versa. It takes a great deal of balance to manage both sides effectively. Otherwise, I highly recommend the food!!

Now we knew we were trying it by coming in so late and kind of close to closing time, so we were by no means making a fuss about what would or would not be available. Our waiter was very nice (albeit a bit awkward), but we were able to order quickly and in true good Mexican food restaurant fashion, the food came out quickly as well. It was all fresh and quite good (I believe I ordered street tacos and my friend ordered birria tacos). Missed opportunity for them not having sauces on the table, but also understanding that a) it was late, and b) all Mexican restaurants don't do this, especially if they are not a taqueria or another spot that focuses on tacos. The ambiance was fine, nothing special, but it felt nice in there. The seats weren't too close together, and even the booths had quite a bit of room, so that was nice. It was also all a good price, in my opinion! I would definitely go back to this spot, and honestly I'm kind of curious to know if it's different at different times of the day (Saturday afternoon/evening vs. a weekday/night).

It was awful. The spicy salsa they brought was also awful, the mild salsa was pretty okay. The chips were pretty good too. I ordered the Al pastor quesadilla and it had good flavor, but the lettuce salad looked old and the rice was overcooked. My friend got the spinach and chicken enchiladas and said they were decent. I don't know how someone could call this "authentic " Mexican. Only those who have never had authentic Mexican would! I would not return and do not recommend.

Waiter was quick to bring us chips and salsa and also take our drink orders. I tried their large Midnight Margarita (10/10) I loved the flavor and it was STRONG! For food, I was craving steak, and saw Steak El Amigo (10/10) on the menu. It was very flavorful, tender, seasoned, cooked exactly how I wanted it, and more than enough food for me. The steak was topped with cheese sauce, shrimp, fajita vegetables, peppers, and mushrooms. Also came with a side of rice and beans and tortillas. Def my new go to spot for sure. We were sat immediately around 630 on a Friday evening. We received chips and dips before I could even sit down! Our server promptly greeted us and drinks were ready within minutes. So far, so good. For dinner, hubby had the Vegetarian E which came with a burrito, quesadilla and chalupa, daughter had the kids quesadilla with beans and I initially selected the shrimp bowl. Our food took about 15 minutes. Both quesadillas were barely warm and the cheese wasn't even melted. The refried beans were loaded with red pepper and too spicy for my child. My shrimp bowl was overwhelmed by cheese and aioli that I couldn't stomach it. Our server kindly let me order something else so I selected the shrimp taco salad. It arrived shortly thereafter but was also so greasy it made my stomach turn. 2 stars just for service. 0 for food. Overall, this meal was an unfortunate waste of $50.

We started the night with drinks: I went for a cold Modelo, while my friends both ordered margaritas, and wouldn't stop raving about how good they were! For appetizers, we shared the Union Trio! Fire roasted tomato salsa, creamy guacamole, and queso served with crisp tortilla chips. All three were fresh and delicious, a great way to kick off the meal. For my main, I mixed things up with a taco trio! Carne Asada (marinated steak, onion, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro), Chicken Tinga (marinated chicken, refried black beans, avocado, greens, queso fresco, cilantro) and Blackened Mahi (mezcal pickled onion, red cabbage, red pepper pico, chipotle sauce, cilantro). The blackened mahi was my hands down favorite. It was super flavorful with just the right amount of heat. My friends tried some awesome dishes too! One had the Coconut Curry Mahi (blackened mahi, jasmine rice, edamame succotash, with a rich coconut curry cream sauce) and the other had the Duck Confit Taco (with cherry salsa, pickled carrot salad, and cilantro-lime creme). Our waitress was phenomenal and definitely suggested great choices.
