Veggie burrito bowl

I didn't even remember reviewing this location 10 years ago, but I am glad to say our recent experience was perfect! We met some friends for a small birthday celebration on a recent Saturday evening and it was hopping with patrons waiting outdoors for seating. We were seated in a spacious booth as a party of 5 and were greeted right away. Our server was attentive during our whole visit and I would happily sit in his section again. Chips were offered right away - perfectly crisp with flavorful salsa and white sauce. We ordered drinks and they also arrived quickly. All entrees we ordered were practically devoured. I had the vegetarian burrito bowl. I am usually fearful of ordering this as it often arrives with greasy, overcooked vegetables. This bowl had a mound of perfectly tender-crisp veggies, flavorful toppings and black beans. Hubby had the Fiesta salad - tons of chicken and shrimp. One friend had the seafood burrito bowl salad and I almost kicked myself for not ordering. It had a ton of seafood and he ate almost every bite. Our little one enjoyed a cheese quesadilla, which thankfully had just enough cheese and wasn't at all greasy (another pet peeve at other places). The kids meals are a little pricier here at $7.99. Overall, a really pleasant experience and excellent food. We will definitely be back!

Just another "authentic" Mexican joint? Not by a long shot! I don't think I have ever had such tasty Mexican food! Wasn't sure what I wanted but knew I wanted something crunchy. So I went with the Rodeo Taco Salad (in the fried bowl), and an extra hard taco, just because. I've also never raved about a humble taco before, but it was perfect. Super tasty ground beef, not too greasy, and with 3 cheeses (cheddar, Jack, and cotija??) that just made the whole thing perfect. And that taco salad...I don't know what I was expecting, but it was a flavor bomb in the best of ways! Not too overpowering with cumin; not overdone on anything. Just mmm mmm delish! And a huge portion! Can't really tell in the photo, but the shell is deep, and filled with black beans , white rice, and tons of meat and veg. Also, I thought the shell was burnt when it arrived, but I was wrong! That was yesterday, I had some more for lunch today, and I still have another full meal for tomorrow. Hubby had a usual ginormous burrito, which he loved and surprisingly finished off. The salsa w/chips for table was the perfect level of heat for me who doesn't tolerate much. I don't care for the white sauce that is also complementary, but that's just a personal preference thing. Did I mention super attentive service as well?? Try this gem in the Edinburgh area near Target. You will not be disappointed! We have found a new favorite place and will return often. :-)

Fajita Nachos

Maybe I'm delirious from travel. Maybe I'm just thrilled to have food in my stomach. After driving 7+ hours this place was recommended by a family member. We were worried about showing up past 9 when they close at 10. We were seated promptly and given chips, salsa and a cream dip. We didn't care for the cream dip (maybe a cold sour queso? Maybe a sour cream thing?) but the chips and salsa were welcome. I don't care for cilantro but the salsa was fresh and even with cilantro it was great. Ordered the steak fajita nachos. Omg delicious. Cheese was layered well. Pollo relleno was very good and chock full of veggies in a cheesy sauce and a red sauce. Beans had good flavor. Food came quickly. Service was good. A little pricey but good portions. If I had one closer I would come back.

Quesa birria tacos with refried beans and rice

The food had good flavor. The chips were crisp and crunchy and the salsa was fresh which was nice cause it sucks when the chips are stale. We told our waitress about the birthday person at our table who was then gifted a happy birthday song by the staff and offered either a shot or fried ice cream on the house. The bathrooms were clean and the seating area outside is spacious. Overall, a good experience. I'd come here again.

Al pastor, chorizo and carne

1st time here, just stopped by for lunch and it was very tasty. I had the carnitas and it came with rice n beans. The carnitas were very tasty but with a good amount on fat. Hubby had the street tacos carne asada, chorizo, and Al pastor. The Al pastor was the best and the tacos were large and filled with a good amount of protein, not like those tiny street tacos some places serve.

Enchiladas with rice.

The food was your typical Mexican food. It reminded me a lot of Las Palmas. It wasn't bad. We would go again if we were in the area. I had the enchilada suizas with rice and a salad. My husband had the chicken California burrito but the weird thing is that the burrito didn't have fries in it. I thought all California burritos were supposed to have it in them. Maybe not I'm not sure. Took one star away because of the French fries and the fact they had a couple sitting directly behind us which was too close for my taste during Covid. Anyhow it was good we would come again when we are in the area.

Chips & Dip

Tried this quaint Mexican restaurant near our house in Edinburgh. Food was really good, main draw back being they never refilled our chips and salsa and it took longer than usual to get that first serving. Service was friendly, and food came out hot and fast. My biggest drawback was the margarita wasn't blended well so there were still large ice chunks in it rendering drinking it a chore, and there was alcohol floating on top. After mixing it up the taste was good! Overall will probably come back but their are better Mexican restaurants near by such as my favorite Nacho Grande, as well as 3 amigos in hickory.

Al pastor tacos

Visited here a couple times & the service here is always amazing. Staff immediately greeted us & sat us to a table shortly after. The Al pastor tacos I ordered were sooo delicious! Came with a side of guacamole & rice. I like my food spicy so I asked for their homemade hot sauce! A little bit goes so far lol so use cautiously! The camartino drink I ordered was actually really good, I love how it came with tajin on the rim, very tasty. The lady who served was super friendly & took care of us very well. Great Mexican spot for lunch/dinner in the landstown/Princess Anne area.

Pina Loca

This is mine and my husband's new go-to. They service is so quick! The line is ALWAYS out the door but we still have barely had to wait when we have been here. My husband loves their margaritas! I try to get something different each time but the Pina Fajita is my favorite!

I LOVE THIS PLACE !! I've been coming to Gran Rodeo for almost a year now and each experience is great . The chips are always hot ( that means they're fresh ) and the service is great . Everyone is friendly and they try their hardest to make sure you enjoy your meal . Excellent place for taco Tuesdays and happy hour everyday 2-6pm . Huge fan of Quesa Birria Tacos that's a go to ever since a friend introduced me to them. . Street tacos are also good if your not sure what to get . I will keep coming here for Mexican food .

Large margarita

Came here for the first time with coworkers for a farewell dinner and the staff took very good care of us. Their alcoholic drinks come in a variety of sizes with "monster" as big as a large soup bowl! It was huge. I had the pina colada which was very sweet and fruity... my only critique would be presentation as there was no fruit or fancy straw to liven up the otherwise fun cocktail . It almost looked like a bowl of milk without the cereal . I also ordered their carne asada fries which you don't get very much on the east coast. Plenty of guacamole, sour cream and meat. Was decent considering this is a west coast creation. Definitely would return for the large quantities of alcohol and maybe will explore their menu more next time. Solid 3 1/2 stars rounded up to 4.

We were surprised by the wonderful Mariachi band playing. The food is consistently good here and because of that, they are often busy, so you have to be prepared to wait for a table. We like to sit at the bar so we are usually able to be seated pretty quickly. I highly recommend this wonderful, authentic Mexican restaurant!

I ordered my usual, Juan's shrimp chimichanga. It also seemed that servers on staff were attentive to customers, both in-house and those waiting for takeout. Even for a smaller dining experience, it's still cozy and enjoyable. I normally have my food delivered, but decided to save a little money and pickup on my way home. However, ordering for pick-up today, it seemed chaotic upon arrival. Staff were calling orders/names, but much of the food sitting was not for anyone there. I placed my order in advance (1:41 p.m.) so it would already be done when I arrived (about a 15-minute drive), but did not receive my food until well after 2:20 p.m. This restaurant on food alone would receive 5-stars from me, but due to today's wait, I'd have to leave it at 4-stars. If I were dining-in, I would not mind waiting for the food, but for a pickup order and my family waiting in the car for an order that was supposed to be ready, it was a bit disappointing. I've seen some restaurants shut down delivery services during peak restaurant service times so they can focus on customers, or vice versa. It takes a great deal of balance to manage both sides effectively. Otherwise, I highly recommend the food!!

Waiter was quick to bring us chips and salsa and also take our drink orders. I tried their large Midnight Margarita (10/10) I loved the flavor and it was STRONG! For food, I was craving steak, and saw Steak El Amigo (10/10) on the menu. It was very flavorful, tender, seasoned, cooked exactly how I wanted it, and more than enough food for me. The steak was topped with cheese sauce, shrimp, fajita vegetables, peppers, and mushrooms. Also came with a side of rice and beans and tortillas. Def my new go to spot for sure. We were sat immediately around 630 on a Friday evening. We received chips and dips before I could even sit down! Our server promptly greeted us and drinks were ready within minutes. So far, so good. For dinner, hubby had the Vegetarian E which came with a burrito, quesadilla and chalupa, daughter had the kids quesadilla with beans and I initially selected the shrimp bowl. Our food took about 15 minutes. Both quesadillas were barely warm and the cheese wasn't even melted. The refried beans were loaded with red pepper and too spicy for my child. My shrimp bowl was overwhelmed by cheese and aioli that I couldn't stomach it. Our server kindly let me order something else so I selected the shrimp taco salad. It arrived shortly thereafter but was also so greasy it made my stomach turn. 2 stars just for service. 0 for food. Overall, this meal was an unfortunate waste of $50.

We started the night with drinks: I went for a cold Modelo, while my friends both ordered margaritas, and wouldn't stop raving about how good they were! For appetizers, we shared the Union Trio! Fire roasted tomato salsa, creamy guacamole, and queso served with crisp tortilla chips. All three were fresh and delicious, a great way to kick off the meal. For my main, I mixed things up with a taco trio! Carne Asada (marinated steak, onion, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro), Chicken Tinga (marinated chicken, refried black beans, avocado, greens, queso fresco, cilantro) and Blackened Mahi (mezcal pickled onion, red cabbage, red pepper pico, chipotle sauce, cilantro). The blackened mahi was my hands down favorite. It was super flavorful with just the right amount of heat. My friends tried some awesome dishes too! One had the Coconut Curry Mahi (blackened mahi, jasmine rice, edamame succotash, with a rich coconut curry cream sauce) and the other had the Duck Confit Taco (with cherry salsa, pickled carrot salad, and cilantro-lime creme). Our waitress was phenomenal and definitely suggested great choices.
