I received my food as takeout and checked it before leaving... the order was wrong so I went back inside to simple show them ... the manager began to raise his voice at me when he understood there was a miscommunication... he then brought me over to the register to pay again for the order that was made wrong I was in shock! I left the wrong order on the counter and walked out without food. This review is a long time coming as of the time of writing this review I am the Duke at Los verdes with approximately 21 check ins and never written a review. Although this restaurant serves a variety of Colombian Street food truthfully the only thing me and my family ever order are the chicken quesadillas. They are delicious and for the most part the portions are pretty generous. The staff is always friendly and the food usually arrives pretty quickly. The environment is family-friendly and the price is right for that type of food they have to offer. My only gripe with this restaurant is that the fountain drinks taste strange it's been like that for years so lately I have been avoiding them. Other than thatI think it's a pretty great place to eat. My son is obsessed with this place and whatever it's his turn to pick where we eat it's always Los "Verdes". Another really cool thing about this place is that it's open late there have been many times when I get home from work at one or two in the morning and I could have something other than McDonald's or Taco Bell. This is the perfect place for all kinds of Colombian cravings! I went with my mom for some appetizers (chorizo con arepa, huevos de coroniz y empanada). Each item came out quickly and hot! The food is really delicious and savory. The chicken burger is my personal favorite and the fries taste warm really fresh. The burger has two fillets of chicken breast which is amazing for people who want lots of protein in their burger. It also comes with thin potato sticks that gives it a nice crunch in every bite. Their Los Verdes sauce is really addictive, I put it on everything. The only problem with this place is that if you order delivery they never read the notes. I've ordered like 7 times from this place. It's very frustrating because it's not like I can just ask them to send another driver for utensils, napkins or sauce. Ordered my usual late night meal from Los Verdes: Mixed Quesadilla with a side of Empanada de Carne. As soon as I arrived I had a bad experience. I requested some extra pink and green sauce since it was a Pickup Order, and the cashier told me it would be a $.75 charge per bag, which was absolutely ridiculous. I've been going to the LV on Coral Way and 137th for years and this has never been a problem. They gladly provide you with extra sauces. In terms of the food, the Empanadas were good. The Quesadillas were a different story. The tortilla was too soft and the cheese tasted off. Even worse, it barely had a reasonable amount of chicken and steak. I really don't think you can go wrong when you're hungry and it's 3 A.M. on your way home! Sometimes it's full, but we've never had an issue with a table, there's more tables indoor and a few outdoors! From the location on 137 and Coral Way to Miami Lakes, and this one in Country Walk we have eaten at all of them and I've never really had a problem! The chicharrones are a great snack as they are bite size almost and are fried to order! I've enjoyed the tequenos as well but what you have to try is the Quesadillas, I'm writing the review thinking of the sauces and potato chips sprinkled on them! Our food was made to order but didn't take long at all. There was also a soccer game going on so it was very loud but welcoming, we had a good time with this crowd. My tostone sandwich was everything I wanted but more. The tostone was crispy not oily,the shredded chicken inside was full of flavor,lettuce was nice and green and the tomato was nice and cold ( I just love a red cold slice of tomato) the cheese was melted perfectly and I enjoyed every bite. I chose the green and pinkish sauce, it was the perfect flavor combination. Now my little sister enjoyed her salchipapas so much she forgot to let me try any,lol,gotta love her. A different change from ordering pizza late at night. This place has your typical Columbian street foods and it is very good. I love getting the Macitos because I think it is healthier option lol. The quesadillas are very good as well. They come also with the typical sauces: pick sauce, sometime of greenish sauce, and the lovely pineapple sauce. Everything tastes better with the pineapple sauce. However delievery may take some time last time I ordered they said it would take an hour. But the guy wasn't any longer than an hour so I wasn't upset or anything. Would order here again because of the convinence and food is not bad! read more

Los Verdes has the potential to be a bad ass late night Columbian diner, but it needs some fine tuning before I can give it a 4 or 5 star rating. Also since I had take out, my advice to all, this is one of those places where it's better when eaten fresh from the kitchen. It didn't help much that the waitress told me she would take out my food to me in my car and half hour later my food was sitting on a rack getting cold. So although the food was not good with take out I will be back to eat it in their restaurant. Being a sauce man love how they have squeeze bottles of a pineapple puree, a cilantro sauce and what tasted to me like a ketchup/mayo sauce. Another thing I loved is they are open late and out in West Kendall not many places are open after midnight. Loved the fact how they sprinkle crushed Potatoe chips on most of their dishes. All hail the Colombian food gods for bringing this gem so close to home!!! The only reason why I wouldn't eat at this place is because it was so far away but now I'm doomed.. We went at 8:00pm on a Saturday night and I must admit we were a little intimidated because there was not one empty table and we didn't want to stand around with a 2 year old.
