The actual people who did the pickup were fine. A bit more bumping into walls than I'd like, but otherwise ok. The problem was scheduling. I booked a month in advance and they said they would be there the morning of pickup between 8 and 10 am. They were texting me to ask for pictures of what I needed taken away as early as 8:15. At 9:45 they texted me a quote. I messaged them around 10:30 asking if/when they were coming b/c the pickup window had passed. And then I didn't hear anything until around noon. Two hours after the pickup window. That's when they told me that they weren't going to be there until around 4. In reality, it was around 4:50. The reviews here are still generally really good, so I'm hoping my experience was just a fluke, but the lateness combined with the lack of communication made for a really disappointing experience.

(I think it was the tone of desperation in my voice that really got me on the schedule.) The team of two young guys who showed up were professional and obviously loved their job. Extra kudos for saving us a little money. Junk Busters charges by the volume your junk takes up inside their truck. (That is, unless you're throwing out bricks or cement, in which case it's by weight.) I watched them really work at fitting all this loose material into the smallest space possible. Reading a previous review, looks like being a NO SHOW is a habit, even for ppl he had previously worked for. I am very glad I was able to contact someone else to do a same-day pick up else I would have been in a very bad position as I needed to vacate the house. I understand appts have to be canceled sometimes but common courtesy is to let someone know you're canceling or at least reply that you're not showing up.

We've had our fun with contractors and various people but we are very happy with the work Lavern and Antonio completed yesterday. Chaz volunteered helpful info on potential extra costs that I did not even think to ask about. I appreciated the heads up so that I wouldn't be caught off guard. While I ended up not using these guys because turns out I needed an even larger dumpster that they could not accommodate for dates needed, their customer service was outstanding and communicative.
