You stated, "all of our client communication is handled via email, which is outlined in our consignment agreement." The consignment agreement that we have did not state that all communication is handled via email. The agreement itself does not even have an email address on it. We did send you multiple emails though and did not receive one reply from you from those emails as we stated in our original review. 2. You stated, "We provided a free pick-up and transport of your items from Kingsburg as a courtesy and at no cost to you." Yet you charged us almost $700 for pickup and transport of our items. I don't consider that free. 3. You stated, "consign your forklift through our auction -- and after it was already listed and sold -- you chose to sell it independently." When we called you and said that we would like to sell it. You told us there was no problem with us selling it and never said anything about having sold it. Please reply to our emails so we can address these issues and the others we have stated in our multiple emails to you.

Not only did he promptly reply but followed through with their policies and handed out numbers the morning of the sale. Bonus is they allow you to stay in your car. The Sale started promptly on time, they had plenty of help and even had someone watching the hold tables. All items had tags and were fairly priced. We appreciated their professionalism, kindness, and sense of humor which made attending their sale a lot of fun. We look forward to the next sale. Thanks again!

Their itemized record keeping was beyond what I could have imaged from such a fast sale. I really liked that they put up signs, cones and caution tape to provide that extra level of safety for their customers. Everything was done in a matter of weeks. From setup, to clean up, to pay out. The house was left empty and clean. The few items that didn't sell were boxed up and neatly stacked in the garage. Habit for humanity was available to pick up items we're willing to part with. I can't thank them enough for making this a smooth transaction from start to finish.

At a later auction, I bid on and won another Kobalt air compressor, only to discover during pickup that it was actually the exact same broken compressor I had previously purchased. The original lot information was still underneath the new lot sticker. Even after acknowledging it was the same compressor, they still only offered store credit. Relisting a known non-working item without clearly disclosing it is extremely frustrating and feels dishonest. Based on my experience, I would be cautious purchasing equipment from them in the future.

Sometimes they didn't work or were damage, and sometimes I got a terrific deal. You are taking a risk when you buy but there are some steps that will reduce your risk and improve your satisfaction. 1. Adjust your expectation. This is surplus or returned merchandise, not storeroom quality. 2. If you are uncomfortable with the risk then go to the warehouse on Tuesday and review the items in person. Plus checking out all the stuff is just plain fun. 3. look at ALL the pictures provided and really read the description provide. 4. Stay away from items with electronic parts. Electronic parts are notorious for breaking. Overall, I would recommend A&W surplus. you can get some really neat stuff at good prices. I particularly like purchasing tools and then reselling them. If you enjoy selling at yard sales or flee markets, the bulk crates can give lots of items that will move. Think of it as a treasure hunt! Best of luck
