Being from LA usually precludes me from feeling starstruck, but after Chef Clive took our order, I asked if he was indeed Chef Clive--and when he confirmed, I felt a giddy excitement like I was in the presence of a rockstar. We arrived about 40 minutes before closing, and our food took roughly 30 minutes to come out, but it was absolutely worth the wait. Everything is made to order, and it shows. While waiting, my son and I wandered around checking out the plants and noticed the many awards Chef Clive has earned over the years for his incredible food. I'm typically averse to spicy food, but for this place, it was completely worth it. I ordered the island salad with Jamaican jerk chicken added, while others in our group had the hot tuna tacos and mahi tacos. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and had just the right touch of spice. So glad I found this place on Yelp. If you're in the mood for Caribbean island food in Key West, this is the spot.

By far the best meal we had in Key West! There are a couple of locations, but we decided on the…read moreStockton area instead of the downtown Key West location. It's very fun and inviting inside and the food is fantastic! I got the roast pork meal, which came with rice, beans and plantains. Flavors were perfect and very savory. I was able to eat all of mine, but I think two people could likely split it depending on how hungry you are. They brought bread for the table - that was just ok. It was kind of crunchy and toasted with butter. The mojitos were excellent as well. Sometimes it's hard to find a good mojito with fresh mint, and they delivered with their drinks. Highly, highly recommend eating here if you're in the Keys.

The staff was very friendly. They were kind from when you came in, during your experience and when you were leaving. We tried the sangria which was good but a bit drier than I like it. The bread they brought to the table was really good. My husband enjoyed his ropa vieja (shredded beef) and rice. I absolutely loved my picadillo which was phenomenal. Loved it! When we come back, we'll definitely come here and try different items since so many things sounded good.
