JOSE, the master of Wasacaca !
    Anthony J.

WOW! The cleanliness, the service and THE FOOD are immaculate. Jose set me up with an amazing burger with fried egg that rivaled any fried egg burger compared to Americas burger city, Brooklyn NY. His passion for food is like no other..., and each dish shows it.

Lovely new food truck that has just opened May 2023. They are located in the parking lot of George's Plumbing. They offer a small variety of Caribbean fare, that will tantalise your taste buds. There is NOT any type of seating available, so is best for those who are picking up an order to take back to work or home. I'll post photos and further review of the food after I finish eating.

Best Venezuelan food in Key West (and whole Miami area). Parrilla and tequeños were amazing. Wasacaca salsa is super tasty. Great customer service. 5 star place ! I will definitely come back when will be in KeyWest again.

Had been seeing this place on Instagram and everything looked really good so we made our first visit tonight. Glad we did because the food was delicious! Arepa was perfect, crisp on outside soft corn on inside and not dried out. Loved the chicken and avocado. I'd never had a cachapa (corn pancake) before and it was so yummy. With the added pork, the combo of savory and sweet was really nice. All the meat was well seasoned and cooked, nothing was dried out. Nice portions and friendly service too! We brought our food home and the way they wrapped it kept it warm. Will definitely be back!

Incredible food and service! Sandwich was one of the best I've had on the island and by far the biggest. Great value for everything and awesome customer service. 10/10 would recommended must have! Don't even need a side to go with it. Keith Lee would approve.

Incredible authentic Venezuelan cuisine on the Paradise island. The most southern tip of Florida is now blessed with the traditional "arepas y cachapas venezolanas" stuffed corn cakes and yellow ground corn pancakes with cheese and all sorts of toppings: shredded beef, shredded cheese, pulled pork, white authentic Venezuelan cheese and, of course, the best WASACACA sauce ever created. Don't miss this healthy and hearty option for your night out.

The restaurant is tucked away on a back street, far from the usual tourist spots, which adds to its charm. The food is authentic Cuban cuisine -- and I say that after decades of living in and around Hudson County, NJ, where the Cuban community is large and vibrant. At El Siboney, everything tastes fresh and homemade, with generous portions and prices that are refreshingly reasonable for Key West. This visit, I ordered the whole fried yellow snapper, served with yuca, yellow rice, and beans. My dinner companion had the Siboney skirt steak, one of the restaurant's popular dishes, served with a choice of sides. Both meals were excellent. Dessert was equally impressive: a delicious slice of tres leches cake and silky vanilla custard that were the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Dinner for two, including dessert and tip, came to about $100 -- a great value for the quality and quantity of food. El Siboney remains one of my favorite places to eat in Key West.

We had a reservation and were seated promptly at a table up front. Our server was over in flash and soon we were sharing the tuna watermelon ceviche, the lobster mac and cheese and the quesadilla. All were delicious! For our entrees, we had the chicken and waffles, scallops with more of that lobster mac and cheese (I said it was good!) the fresh catch of the day and a ceasar salad. The fresh catch came with an ear of corn that I made short work of! For dessert we devoured the banana bread french toast that was perfection! I will definitely add this to my list of "go tos" in Key West!

We got one order of the Cayo fish tacos to share. Each order comes with two tacos. We chose a bench in the shade on the patio where some chickens were wandering around picking up bits of food dropped by the patrons. It was fun to watch them run in a group when one spotted something had fallen. Our tacos were ready quickly and after the first bite we immediately regretted not getting a table because they are a bit messy with all the delicious toppings. Oh well! I persevered and used a napkin to soak up the juice and the chickens took care of of the rest. I will never miss an opportunity to visit Garbo's when in Key West.

While I was checking it out, the bouncer at the bar next door told me it was worth a visit, which sealed the deal. Later that evening, I convinced my friends to go with me. They were expecting a full sit-down dinner, but this is more of a counter-service spot with 6-7 bar stools inside. The setup is simple: place your order at the counter, then either grab a stool or head to the bar next door, where they'll bring your food when it's ready. We chose the bar's patio, which gave us a clear view of the restaurant. It was reassuring to see other groups having their meals delivered over too--it felt like we had discovered the right local gem. The wait was about 25-30 minutes, but that only confirmed everything was being made fresh. And let me tell you, it was absolutely worth it. Our group ordered two jerk chicken plates with plantains, mac n' cheese, and slaw; one oxtail with black beans, rice, and mac n' cheese; and one jerk burger with fries. Every single dish was a hit. The jerk chicken had that perfect smoky spice and heat from the scotch bonnet peppers, balanced with bold Caribbean flavors. The oxtail was tender and flavorful, and even the sides like mac n' cheese and plantains stood out. All in all, this was easily one of the best Caribbean meals I've had anywhere.
