The YMCA has been associated with such fun homosexual acitivity for the longest time, long before the Village People got involved, and so Gaylord is a perfect name for this lovely facility in the heart of OKC. This YMCA was really nice. The bikes were pretty good but not the best kind. They only have two of them but it worked well for me, as the facility is super quiet. They only allow you to have one towel per person, which is sort of like only allowing one tampon per period. I think. Maybe. Still, better than having no towels at all. The weights equipment works really well. They have a big cross chest cable thing which I really appreciate. Not very many people use the facility as I said, which is probably for the best since it's pretty small. Same could be said about your ex boyfriend. However they do manage to pack all the equipment in quite well. Same could not be said about your ex boyfriend. The showers work really nicely. And you know what else works nicely, in the showers. The locker room is in good condition and I have no complaints. Some of the guys in the locker room were really rude but that can happen anywhere. You know what else can happen anywhere. The facility has a parking lot across the street and even though it's pretty old it works really well and I liked it. But people at the front desk were friendly. Somewhat. I'm torn between a 4 and 5 star rating for this facility but overall it was a positive experience, so we'll go with 5.

No one wiped down or cleaned any machine after any use and I never saw an employee clean any piece of equipment. Watched multiple gym goers walk barefoot in and out of the restroom back onto the gym floor. Lastly as the owner is a female you would think she would have taken a comment about a female gym goer not feeling comfortable around certain male gym goers more serious seeing as a few weeks after this a certain old man was texting under aged girls.

This facility is not promoting health, wellness, or safety for their members. Hello: My fiancé and I joined Key Fit Club a few months ago and were aware that the gym was beginning to transition to a new building. After a few particularly negative experiences I wanted to bring a few concerns to your attention. I am regularly observing members misusing equipment and not following a dress code. This is concerning from a health and safety standpoint. Although this is not an uncommon issue and happens at most gyms it is happening consistently enough it should be addressed with specific members to ensure the safety of all members. Members are not adhering to a basic dress code by not wearing shoes and socks and even taking off their shirt while working out. Specifically, members are walking to and from the bathroom and throughout the training area as well as training without socks or shoes. Unfortunately, I have witnessed gym employees misusing equipment and removing their shoes and socks to exercise as well. This is particularly concerning because of the standard that these behaviors set for other gym members to not use the facility in a safe and appropriate manner. There are regularly members of the gym using the facility while they are noticeably high. This is prevalent on weekdays between 5:00pm and 7:00pm and obvious due to the potent smell. I do not feel it is appropriate for this to be tolerated because of the overwhelming smell it causes in the gym. I am also concerned that this is happening while there are children's classes happening in the gymnastics gym next door. Due to the above concerns: improper use of equipment, lack of dress code, and marijuana use I do not feel like Key Fit Club is promoting a safe and healthy gym environment particularly for females. The gym should be a safe place for individuals to work towards their goals. My personal training has been disrupted and I have been distracted from my goals due to the above referenced issues I have experienced. I have become uncomfortable being at the gym without my fiancé or a friend there with me because of the actions of other members. I have experienced harassment in a gym setting before and believe the environment that is being cultivated at Key Fit Club is promoting gym harassment and gym intimidation. I understand the gym is in the process of transitioning and moving locations. When we joined, we knew we would need to exercise some grace for the transition process. I would like to see these issues addressed and changes made moving forward in the current and new facilities. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss this further. I look forward to hearing from you about how you plan to improve the member experience at Key Fit Club.

Everything from the child care to flexibility and safe location make it ideal for women to work out without having to worry about safety or convenience. It's a great place for someone looking to get into a regular fitness routine, meet new friends, or unwind in a low-stress environment. If you are a single mom looking to choose just one gym membership, I think this is the best gym home in OKC due to their low-cost childcare, wide variety of classes, and the fact that they cater to women only. Anytime I found myself needing to get in a workout but not having childcare, this was my go-to spot. If you're a beginner, there's a lot of support for learning how to use equipment and with finding workout classes that fit your schedule. There's also a great community vibe and plenty of water aerobics for seniors or those looking to work out outside of the gym rat culture. Plus, no worries about dudes staring/videoing or creepy men. This gym has everything- pool, sauna, steam room, toning tables, weight and cardio equipment- you name it. The only issue is that some of the machines were old and/or not well-maintained. The last time I visited, they were making updates but I'm not sure what the equipment situation is currently. I mostly went for the pool, sauna, and toning tables, which never had any issues. For serious athletes, this is a great place to go for recovery but I didn't use it for hard training workouts or as my primary gym. The laid-back atmosphere, pool/sauna amenities, and toning tables make it great for loosening up tight muscles and getting in a bit of recovery movement without having to pay additional fees. The older equipment can be frustrating for the more serious athlete, but I'd highly recommend this place for those just looking to stay active and fit in a positive environment.

Both times we had to deal with same-sex women trying to hit on my daughter and myself or one or the other of us, and we told the people we were straight. Both times the management refused to do anything about it, claiming they were inclusive. OK, but they were sexually inappropriate and we were not interested in the advances. Both times we were told that the hours would be lengthened soon on the weekends and they were not. All in all it is an AVERAGE (at best) gym. The pool and sauna were always dirty or in need or repair. BARELY sustainable. They charge $49.50 a month, which is nearly double what Gold's Gym charges.
