I normally do my own acrylics & designs but decided to treat myself going to the salon since work has been busy and it's my birthday in a few days. I asked for a more complex design but told her if she couldn't do it that was fine. She then began trying to change too many elements so I asked if I could just do all French. She said of course no problem. However not a single one of them has a clean line. It's extremely noticeable because I chose a dark color. On top of that, I asked several times for her to straighten the edges of my nails with the file, as I like a really sharp square. She kept rounding out the corners and got frustrated I wasn't happy. Overall, the salon looked and felt really luxe, but the outcome of my nails is mediocre and I now have to fix them at home because I'm disappointed. I still tipped her for her time, but not for the quality. Won't be returning. read more

I would leave 0 stars if it was an option. I have been going to lotus since I was in high school. I recently made an appointment to get a full set done for the first time since I graduated college. I made the appointment for a "self-love" day as I've been down lately (seasonal depression). I called and asked a few questions prior to the appointment, discussed some ideas I had in mind, and was excited they were able to accommodate my wishes... or so I thought. I got to the facility, decided for dip over acrylic (I'm In the medical field the dip always holds up better) I asked questions about the products and everyone seemed annoyed by my lack of knowledge... I rarely get my nails done, I expressed this a million times, and unfortunately they took advantage of that. I wanted a cute little valentines heart set and with chrome. I showed the picture to the nailtec.. she seemed lost and confused... I mentioned if she was un able to accomplish my wishes that it was fine I'd do a solid color... she insisted... MY HEART SANK WHEN SHE FINISHED! The product I was left with was honestly atrocious. it looked as though I did my nails myself. They were chunky, the hearts were non existent and didn't even resemble hearts, the chrome chipped in .3 seconds. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was left with an $80 bill. I will never be going there again. I had my co-worker who does her own nails for fun do my nails, she's not a professional, she did 100000000000000x better. I can't believe they have people working there as "professionals" that can't do a basic design And charge $80 for it. read more

On 4/21/24 my friend made an appointment for us at Lotus Nail Bar in Dickson City. She was getting a mani/ pedi and made an appointment for me to go with her for a mani. They asked her if she was ever there before. She replied, "no, but my friend has been here," and they asked for my name. My friend called and told me the appointment times and I realized she told them a mani for me, but I have acrylics and needed a fill. I called the salon within 10 minutes of the appointment being made to let the know I would need a fill. They said they didn't have an acrylic tech available for me, so the appointments were cancelled and we went to another salon. Today, I see Lotus Nail Bar charged me $16 and a second charge for $20! $36.00 for an appointment I didn't make and I SPOKE with them and cancelled!!! Also, just because my friend tells them I've been there, does that give them access to MY CREDIT CARD???? Horrible. I called and asked for the charge to be reimbursed. I was I initially told no and I'm not sure from the girl I spoke to if it will ACTUALLY be reimbursed. read more

Appointment only, had wonderful pedicure and gel manicure, tips are cash only so don't forget to bring some, which I of course didn't! Never felt rushed or hurried as you do with a walk in operation, will definitely be going back! She then proceeded to gossip to an employee about another one who wasn't there, stating things like "she's 56 years old, how hard is it to renew your license!" Yikes. Absolutely terrible ! Last time I'll go here . It's very unprofessional & lacking in experience. It's honestly a bunch of high school girls. My nails came out terrible. You pay 100$ for a set of nails that's 10$ a nail. I get paid like 10$ n hr they better come out nice. Not sloppy & rushed looking. Charged me for a creative design which is 25$ for French tips. Pros- clean, good manicures, massage chairs Cons- I called to make manis for my 3 daughters and they booked it as a "spa mani" without asking- I don't find this ethical. I told some friends who said they have had similar experiences. I find this practice deceiving and immoral. I raised the issue with them and they didn't care. I had to file my nails a bit after I left because there were jagged edges I didn't notice until I left, and the polish doesn't look entirely smooth (though may just be the color I chose, but still). Positives: nice place, nice shopping center. That is it. The worst manicure and pedicure I have ever experienced. I am not high maintenance. I was traveling for work and popped in. Got a spa pedicure and gel manicure. 13 out of my 20 digits have nail polish on the skin past the nail. I asked the technician to help and he tried for a few minutes then said it is hard to get off once the gel had been cured. Well, why did you not look beforehand. The technician also has no clue how to file nails. He would go once across, then it would skew off the nail. Never a constant motion. 4 of. My nails are uneven. He did not cut any of my cuticles. Took 2.5 hours and $75 before tip. During my pedicure another tech was in the restroom. My tech said, "I'm so sorry but I'm going to have to go next door, I can't hold it." Gross. He was gone for 12 minutes, then awkwardly came back. Also, every single towel that they used on me (5 of them) had some sort of stain on it. read more

I stated that I looked online and no where does it say this and she said well it's on the door. Not very helpful by only having current information posted only on the business door! I'm torn how to rate my experience. Pros: I had Michelle. She was nice. My nails didn't have any bubbles and about 2-ish weeks later, no lifting or problems. Nice atmosphere. Cons: My nails were sore for a few days after. I thought maybe it was due to the powder as I'd never had it before, but after hearing other experiences it's probably due to excessive filing They use 1 pot for everyone for the dip powders. As in, each color has a container, and they dip your finger into that pot and tap the excess back into the container. Over and over with each customer. I looked it up and it's very unsanitary and unsafe to do this because of risk of infections I left it at 3 stars because I was happy with my manicure at the time and it's lasting well. But I probably won't be back due to unsafe conditions. I'm also not a fan of how thick the dip powders are on my nails. My nails do not bend AT ALL. No flex. It feels very unnatural. But I'm not used to acrylics and I guess they're supposed to be similar read more

I unfortunately forgot who did my nails but I got a gel manicure and pedicure and my lady did great. My nails are clean and she helped pick out nice colors and was friendly and gave a great foot and hand massage. My first time here and I probably won't go back. From the beginning the lady working the front desk was very rude. My pedicure came out great! The technician took her time, the polish was spread out evenly, it was nice. Now on to the manicure, the lady working at the desk kept talking about time and the technicians next appointments and my manicure felt so rushed! I did not get everything that says will be included in the manicure description, my polish is not evenly spread out, my one nail doesn't even look or feel like it got top coat, and when I mentioned that to the technician she rubbed the nail and said it was fine. ATROCIOUS! This experience was a nightmare. Decided to get a mani/pedi to prepare for a job interview. I arrive and am told that to woman who will do my nails can only do gel and not powder, as I requested. Not ideal, but fine. I ask for a reverse french and the appearance is not up to my satisfaction or expectation, but I'm short on time, so I leave. Interview is tomorrow and my flight is late morning. I wake up and the pictures speak for themselves. I rush to Glamour Nails in Montage who I should have went to in the first place, everything is taken care of and I leave for my flight and interview (got the job!) I return and stop in to ask for a refund; I show pictures of the nails. I am offered another service, but politely decline and tell them that I don't live in the area. From here it was a rat race to speak to the owner who was an absolute nightmare on the phone. I explained the situation and he said they do not refund. Period. Disrespectful, unprofessional. I just got my acrylic nails done. The service was shoddy. The man cut my hand with the sander and didn't apologize. He complained incessantly that I need to relax my hand. He forgot to top coat several of my nails. My hands were red and swollen at the nail beds. Then two days later..my nails start peeling. I go to get them fixed and the only person who can fix it is the idiot who screwed up the first time. I asked to wait for another girl to do it.apparently the manager. She gets a girl to ask to jyst paint it again when thats not all that was needed to fix it. When asking for a refund she said no. I made an online appointment for this salon for myself and my sister for the day before my sisters wedding. What I thought I ordered online was a "Spa Pedicure" and a "French Manicure" (and I have emails to back this up). When we arrived, the lady behind the counter told me that what I actually ordered was a spa pedicure with French on our toes. This infuriated us. She told us that there would not be enough time for us to both be seen, so obviously I said that my sister needs both a pedicure and manicure as her wedding was the next day and I would sacrifice my appointments for her. Eventually, they said they could take both of us and I got a gel French manicure and regular (or as they called it "express") pedicure. The technician who did my sister was phenomenal and she took her time and was extraordinarily friendly. However, my French manicure chipped AT THE WEDDING THE NEXT DAY. It's now Wednesday, the appointment was last Thursday. Three of my nails have chipped. Although I appreciate the technician that took care of my sister, I will never be returning to this establishment. It's entirely too expensive and my nails didn't even last a week. read more

I have been going to Lotus for quite sometime. As in the recent 6 months the newly hired staff are completely unprofessional, loud and obnoxious. They sit around and talk freely about their personal lives no matter how inappropriate it may be. It is not the relaxing atmosphere it used to be. I unfortunately have to give this place 2 stars. My experience at Lotus was definitely not up to the standards i'd expect at a nail spa. I was greeted at the front very nicely. They took me as a walk in and wait time was not very long. Once I was sat, the person who started doing my pedicure did not speak to me and if she did, it was extremely quite. My toe nails did not get cut, they were barely filed, and I was given little to no massage. The girl doing my nails also didn't really speak to me. Her and the girl doing my pedicure did a lot of talking. The girl doing my nails would also consistently go on her phone. Once my very short pedicure was done, I went up to the nail bar to finish my nails. I had hope the nails would turn out okay and they did turn out fairly mediocre. I was just fairly disappointed with some crookedness and unevenness. The nails were not symmetrical, one of the nails didn't fit my actual nail, the way the tip lays on my nail is different on each nail. I was just very let down with this process. The girls I had were nice, they just did not really speak all that much which was a little disappointing. I honestly would try to find a better nail salon. Awful! Had an appointment for 6:45 and left at closing (8). She spent more time buffing my nails than she did actually painting them. Asked for a fill & what I got looks like I've had the nails for a week already. Polish is sloppy & doesn't even cover the full nail. Not to mention she got nail polish on my skin & didn't even clean it off. Shouldn't even have tipped her. Update: Went there less than 24 hours later. Owner denied a refund, only offered a credit. Which I don't want to give any more business to this "spa". Supposedly there's a "no refund policy" that no one can seem to find. The only other option was have the same tech who messed up my nails, fix them or come back in a week. Absolutely awful service. Receptionist is rude too. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. read more
