I have been a customer at Lotus since 2010, and in the past few months and with new management, I have seen the quality of this business go downhill. I went in on Saturday with my mother and sister to get my eyebrows waxed, and my mother to get hers waxed as well. I was brought back to the room with my mother, never have had that happen before, but while watching the lady do my mother's eyebrows, I noticed that she reused the same stick the entire time. She would dip it into the wax, put the wax on my mother's face then stick the end that was without the wax in her mouth, smooth the piece of material on my mother's face, then pull it off and repeat. While I'm sure the wax may kill any bacteria on the face, one stick to smooth the wax onto the face should not be repeatedly used the entire time especially since that same wax container is used on an abundance of people throughout the year. Very clean and relaxing. A bit pricier than most but well worth it... The extras like a long relaxing massage & callus removal are included. Plenty of staff on hand to eliminate wait times. I always come early thinking I'll be one of the first clients of the day... Never happens, but it's no problem. No language barriers here... The ladies speak very good English. I was a customer of this nail salon long before Mandy and Bill took ownership. The changes they have made are so wonderful. They have completely redecorated the interior. The made it like a very nice spa, so peaceful, comfortable and clean. They are very dedicated to cleanliness, sanitary conditions and customer safety. I really appreciate that. Everyone is so kind, friendly and concerned about meeting customer needs. They have upgraded every aspect of the salon. The new pedicure chairs are awesome and very comfortable. Mandy is on top of everything and will make sure that you get exactly what you ask for. Mandy and Bill have provided a top notch nail salon. It is very well ran. Lotus Nails is the best nail salon ever! Amazing selection of acrylic powder colors, shellac colors, and polish colors. All of the nail technicians are great! Mandy, the owner, is super sweet. It does get busy so I do recommend making an appointment. They have a wide range of options for manicures and pedicures. They just got new pedicure chairs. Go relax and enjoy! read more

I've been to lotus a few times now. Overall I was inclined to give 4 stars but a few things pushed it down. Here's my pro/con list: Pros: -Very nice interiors and clean. They use liners and individual buffers -manager is super nice and organized -they offer drinks (wine too if you're inclined) -tons of shellac colors Cons: -crowded -not all technicians created equal (some are in too much of a hurry) -I feel like they "nickel and dime" - for example, if I don't want to stick both hands in a tiny soaking bowl, it's $5 to wrap nails with shellac. Also add glitter layer, another $5. Too many quality salons around katy to be that expensive. Would I go back, yes in a pinch. Have I found better, yes - memory nails on 1463. read more

I absolutely love this nail salon! They are efficient, friendly and incredibly accommodating. I have been going to this nail salon for about a year now and I think each time I go I like it even more. You're treated so well and the women really take their time to make sure everything looks great. Pedicures are truly phenomenal. The absolutely only thing that is kind of not ideal is that they do your manicure and pedicure at the same time. Although I love that I am not in there for several hours, it can be challenging to really relax when two different people are giving you directions and all you really want to do is enjoy the massage chair. read more

I met my bestie and her daughter here and wrote my name down as soon as I got there (which was about 5:30pm). 30 minutes went by and my friend asked when they would be calling me. The front desk person told us in a few minutes. Well at about 6:40pm (20 minutes later) they came up to me and told me that 6 little girls just came in that had an appointment and that they wouldn't be able to get me in. I needed to get my nails done for a wedding this past weekend. I was livid! They should have told me when I first walked in that they would be too busy to fit me in so that I could have left and gone some where else... instead they left me high and dry!!! I tried this shop and my experience was horrible!!! They are not customer friendly at all, the owner Mandy only cares about your money!! I was insulted by the owner because I told her I needed to start on time (I had another appt after that one) but she just wanted me to continue to wait and not say any thing. I have gone here every now and then for 5 months. The very first nail technician I ever received was Josie but after that I forgot her name. Boy, do I regret that. She made my feet the most clean it's ever been, honestly. I spend everyday on my feet and by the end of the day, they're very calloused and dirty. It surprised me that she could do such a good job on them. After two more visits and still no Josie, I made an appointment for me and my boyfriendofthetime. Josie did my boyfriendofthetime's toes! I was so shocked to see Josie doing his feet. Just because I've been trying to remember her, that's when I finally learned her name. He said that it was probably one of the best feelings in his life. Those two visits before were not my best pedicures. They rushed, they didn't care. Whoever was doing my hands was talking to whoever was doing my feet. They didn't think I was Vietnamese so they would talk about everything from their family to their plans to whatever. What am I supposed to do though? Interrupt them and tell them I'm trying to relax? No. Today, I got a pedicure with two of my friends and their nail technicians were very talkative which my friends liked. But by the time they got their towel wrap, Josie was carefully scrubbing every callous away still. I even got started first. Anyways to sum it up, I would do 5 stars for Josie because she always takes her time scrubbing and making sure that she takes her time on massages. The smell is barely tolerable. I could only stand a pedicure. They have a wine bar but didn't offer me any, maybe if they did I would've over looked the smell. They did great work on my toes but they really need to open the door for better circulation. The fumes are dangerously noxious. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I moved from the Woodlands back in February and was worried I wouldnt find a nail place. Finally I found Lotus nails. Tons of Acrylic colors to choose from, tons of Shellac colors to choose from. Prices are actually less then what I paid in the Woodlands. The spa is very relaxing. Saturdays are very busy though so be prepared if you go on that day. I do recommend showing up 10 minutes early as they suggest to pick out your color because they have so many. Will I have to say this is a very clean place.. I've been going there for about 4 mo, now and on my last trip, I had a new lady do my manicure.. I usually get the same two people to do them every time with this one exception. This last lady did a great job, but to find out I wasn't receiving what I had been paying for in the past. They had been charging me for a manicure I wasn't even getting. I spoke to the owner Mandy and she just let it go, as it was my fault for not bringing it to her attention before but how was I supposed to know that I wasn't getting the right manicure... My mom and I have been going to this salon for about 3 years. About 1 1/2 years ago the new owners took over management. With significant changes to decor, new equipment, some new technicians (some good ones that were already there remained) it is now a very pleasant, upscale nail salon. Mandy and her husband are very nice, they offer complimentary beverages and will try their hardest to fit you in if you are a walk-in. However, they are busy most of the time now since they've made all the upgrades so I recommend an appointment. read more

I been at this salon a couple of times with my family. I was very disappointed that during Thanksgiving and Christmas their was no hot water in the spa chair. The owner Mandy said that her water heater is broken then why open the salon if there no hot water. She didnt even bother to give my family a discount. Terrible, Terrible experience!!. Went in to get Shellac, instead I got a cut to my finger during the manicure. I immediately decided not to do the Shellac as I am going on holiday tomorrow and did not want to risk an infection under my nail. I was told the cut was on the corner of my finger so it would be fine to do the Shellac. The gentleman at the check out pulled out a tube of Neopsporin cream and offered me some. I came here for my wedding nails on a whim! My aunt and cousin come to Lotus regularly for all their pampering and the week of my wedding I realized I hadn't scheduled an appointment for nails nor had a place to go as I rarely have had them done in the past (I hate the result every time, normally so I just do them and I'm pretty good if I do say so myself..) anyway, I decided to call and make an appt and Mandy was super sweet and helpful over the phone. There was no communication barrier which was also nice. I made appts for myself and my friend and she suggested I come later in the day because it was prom season but assured me she would have the best technicians (they are all awesome) work with me to create my wedding nails since I'm naive to getting them done. When I got there Mandy took the time to explain and show me the different options available and gave suggestions on what would be appropriate for my wedding and honeymoon on the beach. She suggested two tone French manicure set and I agreed. I explained to her that I normally hate getting them done because I bite my nails and they can look "chunky" or have too much white tip... She said this wouldn't be a problem. My friend and I then sat next to each other in massage chairs (we also got a pedicure, like an awesome pedicure) and Bill (Mandy's husband) began to work on my nails. He listened to everything I wanted (he asked to make sure) and I was pleasantly surprised by the result, they were perfect and I couldn't be happier. They also lasted the whole honeymoon through everything even surfing and climbing mountains. And did I mention we were given wine, as well?:) I'm making an appointment to go back today I just love it. The perfect weekly get away at the perfect place...And yes I plan to come back every week. read more
